I fell in love with Yamaha after seeing the MT-09 when it first came out. Did a test ride with an MT-10 in 2018 and never looked back. All of the MTs are amazing. Kudos to Yamaha, I hope they keep their dark side alive as long as possible.
The real BEAUTY of these bikes, is 😊the fact you can buy one and never have to worry about any mechanical issues no matter how hard u ride it. Ya can't say that for many of its competitors.

Having ridden an 2021 MT09 for a year, what an absolute hooligan bike. Its very nice to see it growing up as for technology. I will definitely own one again.
Finally 09 can be ridden more like a sports bike in corners and not super moto style. Loving the dropped front end and cornering now. Didn't want to go 09 mainly because it never gave that sport feeling in corners. This one changes it, as it seems. Will test it first chance.
It’s funny that the reason you avoid is exactly why I chose Mt09 instead of duke 890r or Ducatis. Interesting to see how the sales would be for this one.
@@veljkovic92 Honestly I expected (and my local dealer friend) that Yamaha brings new MT(gen4) at least later 2025. Then it happened 2024. I was happy with 701SM with all the racing preps. Great review Chris as always. Should be an interesting day as the sky is blue, track looks amazing, and not a drop off rain on the radar for over 800 kilometres.
I have an MT-10 and it's nuts. Probably to fast for the road, but i love it. 100cc less to me with the 09 is still gonna be quick as hell. I think Yamaha could have the next great all rounder here, and it looks better than its predecessor. Also, Chris, can you teach me to wheelie like you? lol.
I am interested in upgrading from my 2016 MT-07 to the MT-09 SP model. I appreciate the new and refined look of the MT-09. It's time for a new Darkside of Japan journey.

Love my MT09 but seriously miss my FZ07. FZ07 is a better bike, just less horsepower. 07 torque hits harder and lower, handling and steering is far nimbler. I also miss the 53mpg the 07 got. But I'm 6'3" and just fit more comfortably on the triple.
Owned a gen 3 mt09 sp for 3 years and have just bought the new model after testing a street triple rs, that was a fantastic bike but the engine just wasn't as strong as the Yamaha. This new model Mt is amazing 👌🏼
Chris, do the changes bring this closer to the 890 Duke R? Not liking the direction of the 990 Duke so I'm between the new 09 SP and a left over 890 Duke R
All depends on the type of riding you do but on paper, you get way more for you money with the 890R. It's lighter, has better suspension, brakes and chassi. You can watch Chris's review of the 890R, it should help if you haven't made your decision yet. Yamaha would have it 10/10.... if they would have given it a 4.5gal (17L) tank finally, after all these model refreshes. Now with cruise control, it could tour no problem. Would be nice to have that extra 3 liters of flexibility. The weight penalty would be a mere 4.8 lb weight.

No, they were shipped from Yamaha HQ in Holland.
Tank and headlight much improved, but the stock exhaust could look better. Gen 2 MT-09 had an amazing looking exhaust
That’s the first thing people are going to rip off the hear the triple sing, so I don’t think they care too much lol. As long as it passes euro5…
May finally upgrade from my 20 SP, especially for that more sporty riding position
Waiting for the new z900. ❤
New bike this year. Very tough decision.
Street triple RS.
DUKE 890 R
DUKE 990
MT09 SP.
thats the short list.
Nice bike❤❤
thanks🙂
Yamaha would have it 10/10.... if they would have given it a 4.5gal (17L) tank finally, after all these model refreshes. Now with cruise control, it could tour no problem. Would be nice to have that extra 3 liters of flexibility. The weight penalty would be a mere 4.8 lb weight.
Just out of interest, how can you say that Yamaha streetfighters will safe have you not ridden Vmax?
I like the Improvements but still would prefer an MT-09 Tracer with out Electronic shocks. You probably could unplug the rear ABS in a few seconds. In other words not the MT-09 Tracer GT which I think is the only Tracer model available in the USA
very good 👍
Nice!
where is this film location?
It's in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) if I am not mistaken.
Yep!
I’ve never been into that colour scheme before at all
What I don't get, is that all these bikes the PR rides on, are registered as MT 09 SP's, even though they should be the 'normal' ones according to the color scheme. Is Yamaha playing a trick by giving the press the better version disguised as normal mt 09s?
so did they address the frame issue?
The one that if you hit a vehicle, the front of the bike falls apart?
@@wirenut3020 something about the steering part and mid section of the frame will crack over time, especially if theres slider installed.
FINALLY A MT09 FACE THAT IS A REAL BIKE. ENOUGH WITH THE SINGLE HEADLIGHT SHITT
I will like to have this bike😊... And i will
