      Not only does she speak fast but she is very loud. However the reason why a lot of people don't like her is because she was on dance mom's and she was really terrible to watch on it. My 5 yr old daughter LOVES everything jojo so it is annoying to me. I have to hear her scream all day

    Naw I feel bad for Jojo she gets so much shit thrown her way, and yet she’s such a good sport bout it. I think people forget just how cringe they may’ve been when they were at that age, at least she’s actually being a good influence on others.

    • @fetchstixRHD
      @fetchstixRHD 5 років тому +28

      Yeah, as much as I’m of the camp of “you post online, people will talk shit” and while I don’t and probably will never like her content, she doesn’t deserve hate or to feel like shit either. Especially considering kids are cringey at that part of their life (hell, even adults are just as bad, if not worse!)
      In a way though, I feel really bad for her especially seeing that she’s probably being quite controlled by people around her, and I don’t see it being in her best interests...

      Guess she’s just adapting to her audience but there’s no way she’s acting her age. For people over twenties she may seem normal but from a teen pov.. I’ve seen twelve year olds act more mature.

    • @marthap3152
      @marthap3152 5 років тому +22

      @@HK-jb6hi adults see it as the norm because for them it WAS. theres been a trend over the past few decades of pushing kids to grow up more quickly. just look at the difference between the red carpet styles of teenage starts between the early 2000s and now. Compare miley cyrus at 13 to millie bobby brown or any other current star at 13 (im still a teenager myself and like you, to me this immediately doesnt seem like a normal teenager,BUT its what a 15 year old should be!) Young, and full of life! and if she wasnts to dress that way and wear cute hair bows who is anyone to critisize her for that. (Not that you were)
      I dont see any problem with her wanting to keep her youth. And it seems to me she is fairly emotionally mature and intelligent. (I dont enjoy her content, nor any like it though) she just has chosen to retain the side of youth that most are forced to give up by middle school

    I get this uncomfortable feeling that in calling Jojo "childish" and comparing her to peers like Malu, these videos are implying that Malu acts appropriately for her age, and isn't disturbingly oversexualized. It's actually okay with me that a 15 year-old isn't twerking for a camera or hooking up with grown adults.

      Annabel Crescibene, you do have a point. I have a 15-year-old brother who's a pretty mature young man (I'm 9 years older than him so I'm real proud of how grown up he is ok), so I'm definitely not about to argue against 15yos being able to be fairly put together. However, you wanna keep in mind that everybody matures at a different rate - I cannot tell you how many guys in college I've met who are more immature than my little brother. :P
      That being said, as well-developed as you might be, there is a WORLD of difference between 15 and 25. Trust me on that one! I'm in childcare, and one thing I really hate is how companies and the media make kids - real young kids, even- think they have to be adult immediately. 8-year-olds shouldn't be trying to get girlfriends when they barely understand why anyone would want one.
      There's no shame in acting your age! That doesn't necessarily mean being immature, it just means not rushing into things you're not ready for. Enjoy being who you are now. Don't rush ahead - it'll wait for you. :)

    personally, seeing as jojo used to be on dance moms, i believe her mother or her parents kinda push her to keep the brand of "I'm a young girl who loves bows and pink and bright glittery colours!" which is all well and good. as a sixteen year old, i find a bit odd that she would actually behave the way she does on camera irl, so of course she puts on the "little girl" act for her demographic. i don't agree with the hate, she's fifteen. if she wants to gear herself towards a younger demographics, i don't care.

    • @leilanyx
      @leilanyx 5 років тому +15

      it shouldn't be an issue. people have a go at people like malu trevejo and danielle cohn because they act too old, but when we actually get a family friendly, young creator actually acting like a child (bc 15 is still a child btw) everyone finds issues with that too. idk, personally, i like logicals video on jojo. it's not really hate or criticism, it's mostly explaining her opinion, and why she thinks jojo is as popular as she is. she also criticises the people who give so much hate and negative attention towards jojo, when really she's done nothing wrong but be young. sure, it's a little bit annoying sometimes and the memes are funny, but when people take it as far as to "cancel" her or full on bully her, that's when there's issus. let kids be kids. please.

Some girls at that age act older others not. We all have our times. I feel that young girls in this era are getting more and more grown than in the past. and thats sad cause they are missing the last years of being child.

I was one of those girls that would be 17 and taking my little sister trick or treating so I wouldn’t be mocked as bad for trick or treating because I’m too old. Literally almost every girl quit trick or treating at 13 because they were too adult to. I wish people would stop praising girls for being mature and wearing makeup at such a young age when they should be a child and have fun. And I brought up makeup because I knew so many girls that only wore it to appear as 20 instead of 14 to get attention from older men. And that’s not the reason you should wear it.

She still hunches when she stands or walks, is painfully shy and has low self esteem. It brings me to tears. My sister who is only 5'1" was bullied, teased and called Munchkin and midget as well. Are people ever kind or non judgemental. What about Jo Jo's height "terrifies" you? In fact, what does it have to do with you at all? Maybe her success, talent and self confidence should inspire you.

    That person means by "acting her age" ... what she said. Like I agree with you and I agree that forcing kids to act older is bad. I'm 18 now and I finally realize how little and young I was. I think a lot of people think she's not acting like a 15 year old is because there's a stigma in America based on the fact that she is a high schooler and high schoolers are supposed to be mature. A lot of them especially in America are in to drugs in middle school now a days. But it's actually good she stick to herself and who she is as a kid.
    Another issue people ACTUALLY have with her is actually towards her mom which definitely ties into the whole Hollywood aspect.

    I think the JoJo that we see is a character. I agree with not wanting kids to grow up too fast, but she acts like she's around 10 and that's her brand. I think the people "managing" her make her do that on purpose. Wear a bow, put your hair in a ponytail, and act silly. Little kids will eat it up. The only problem is that I feel like she's being used and I wonder what she really thinks/wants.

    I am unsure if I am maybe the only person to say this.. Basically, sorta defending those who call Jojo Childish and Immature..... The standard American teenager, or at least the Standard Hollywood teenager is NOTHING like Jojo... in fact it's almost a thing in this country where once you hit 13, the idea of being "adult" is thrown at you on a daily basis... Our culture actually *pardon my language * shits on anyone over the age of 12 liking things that have rainbows, unicorns, bows and stuff SO MANY equate with things for "kids" simply forgetting that at 15 YOU ARE A KID! At that age I remember so many of us trying to be more "adult" like, and anyone we knew who still loved dolls, and plushies was a looser, and not worthy of attention... and this was pre 2000's disney channel ( where we went back for a time to all that stuff us kids in the early 90's thought it was childish.) its like we are swinging back to that 90's mentality... it's almost like every other decade being "kidlike" is popular, in the 70's kids were more "mature" the 80's childish. 90's back to mature, the 00's kid like again.. and now in the 10's were back at mature... in two years 15 year old Jojo is gonna be all the rage, and the then 17 year old Jojo won't be like that!!! it's effing WEIRD! but kid's "fads" or style types change like every decade!

      @@LoveMarsPierii I think you missed my point. In my original comment I was arguing that 15 year olds are supposed to "grow up" rather than be 15. For most people, aka media and magazine potrayal , this definition of "growing up" is acting like a 20 year old. The reason why I brought up drinking, driving, sex, and a job is because they're things that 15 year are not mature enough to do . So, why do so many 15 year olds pretend that they are. This is why I respect JoJo. Unlike some girls her age and younger, who have the mentality that because they're teens they need to go up, she doesn't. She acts her age which is not a child, but also not pretending to be older than she really is.

    My biggest problem with JOJO is that she shows up first when googling Jojo and not Jojo's bizarre adventure

    I think alot of people do not understand that the word "hate" is a strong word. People throw it arround as if it dosent mean anything. Its the same with love.. both words are thrown arround.
    I think it has become a popular thing to hate on her for no reason. You cant hate a person cus of their hairline. I can understand people disslike her personality but then simply dont watch her and move on with ur day.
    Its something else with Jake and Logan Paul. They do REALLY shitty things for youtube, get away with it and do not show ANY care towards the people involved. I can gladly say i hate those 2 people. And i dont watch them. The only reason i watch Jake Paul right now is cus of Shane.

    I think most of the hate comes from the community and precisely how JoJo Siwa, The Paul's, etc. take the "You" out of UA-cam. They're brands, not creators. Brands Alphabet (UA-cam's parent company), NBC, and (in JoJo's case) TLC and Target take great interest in promoting.
    They're the anthesis of the foundations the platform is built on. A platform that lets weird, asocial nerds like iDubbz amass cult following of millions. A platform that lets people like ElvisTheAlien or Drew Gooden express themselves to millions of frustrated people.
    I think this video is selling your fans and the community short with the whole "dude she's a kid lmaollololol" argument. Which is ironically the same argument used by Hollywood studios to bleed the Olsen family dry for the last 20 years.

    in a video where colleen ballinger gives jojo a make over with different clothes and a hairstyle you can literally feel how uncomfortable jojo is. it's not about maintaining a brand to her, that's literzlly her taste and style and how she likes to be.

    I think people think she's childish because so many other 15 year old in the media are acting like and dressing like adults. They think that Danielle Bregoli and Millie Bobby Brown (no hate to them) are the way that most teenagers look. When in reality, these other teens are being made to be adults. Most teens are annoying. Most teens have terrible taste in fashion. If any of these people making these videos against JoJo had recently been to a high school or actually talked to someone of this age, they would see that their criticisms are ridiculous.

    Thank you for speaking up against cyber bullying. This whole "cancelled" thing drives me nuts. I wish people could see that UA-camrs are real people and are allowed to make mistakes just like everyone else.

    @inabber i have lots of respect for you and your channel, not cause youre defending jojo but because you seem of someone whos genuine. You show that people have pros and cons and let them be themself as long as they dont harm anyone; which is amazing. I've watched a good amount of your videos and like how you address the situations and even when you disagree with a fellow youtuber you are civil. I truly wish to see more channels and creators like yourself to take up the platform. Keep up the great work fam.

    After watching this video, I now actually love JoJo. As a 15y/o myself I am literally expected to be a 20y/o. I'm expected to be mature, responsible for my actions, and can't make any stupid mistakes. The fact that JoJo is showing her younger audience that they're allowed to have fun and act young is frankly great. I fully support her now.

    I really like you Nabber. I think you are super logical and level headed. Even though I sometimes watch people like Diesel Patches I feel like they kind of jump the gun and demonize a lot of creators who I don't believe deserve it. Whenever I come to your videos, though, you humanize a lot of creators, are fair in your criticisms, and call out those who deserve it. I appreciate you man and congrats on the Shane Dawson shoutout/100K subs. :)
