The default USB polling rate is 125 hz. It's faster than I would notice, and it certainly was not the problem I had with my PS2 to USB adapter.
Impressive numbers!
Everyone forgot about Gigabyte getting the old I7 Socket 1366 platform, with their XOC board, to 7.5GHz with LN2.. haha :)
Wasn't 1366...
@@benjaminmcintosh857 I think you'll find it was.. X58 OC motherboard = Socket 1366. Google it :)
FX 8ghz pls bi***...
@@ZeNch25 Hah.. And still worse than an i5 or R5 or something, most likely.. :D Anyone think GN should LN2 Steve's FX CPU? I wouldn't be surprised if they could beat the CPU-Z scores...with a board that has better VRMs at least. The joy of (older) AMD.. Have a couple of boards here with similar wattage issues for the VRMs.
@@ChaosHusky I did Google it just only found stuff for x299. I actually run an x58 platform lol
Anyone thinking this was not a really “cool” video should touch that cooling pot for a second.
I always thought steve used the two containers because it was easier to pour from the other
I am guilty of buying a couple 4790ks for 200 bucks. One of them was to upgrade my old system from an i5 and keep all the old hardware because it's a win7 machine which is compatible with almost every game ever made except the some of the most modern ones which I don't play that much. The second one I got for my MC server. I don't know I guess I could be wrong but it seemed like the best performance for the money at the time. The used mobo off ebay was about 90, PSU was used seasonic for about 70. To get a 4790k overclocked to 4.7GHz for a total system price of only a few hundred bucks is really tough to beat for the money. The more expensive newer intel chips are only about 30% faster but it costs way way than 30% more to buy a modern CPU and mobo than it did for my used 4790k and old used mobo.
Some 1 got that cpu to 5.9Ghz using Liquid Nitrogen.
It was a Taiwan overclocker
wearing my GN gold 1M sub t shirt while watching
I manage to overclock my 3100 to 4.5ghz 1.20v and 4.6ghz 1.32v using coolermaster 212 turbo air cooler
I'd sure like to see the monitor better as you make changes to the UEFI. an old credit card makes a great thermal paste spreader. Wish this was the ROG Apex tho. Thanks.
im still rolling with an i5 2500k oc'd at 4.4ghz. it has served me well. this is impressive. of course not practical. im going to have to upgrade soon. im getting random freezing and reboots. ive checked everything else by switching out parts. its most likely the motherboad. i do see the point of buying a used board. i'm guessing i'll have to lean more toward amd. i mainly game. i just like to game. i'd like to go ultra at least 1080p. i do have a 4k tv that i use when playing something like gears 5. i'm only using zotac 1060 6gb card. im trying to wait as long as i can to see what my best way to go. i'm not as worried about workload but the more the merry. cool video man.
Hahaha, i have a i5 2400! Those old i5 definately were great cpu's! Mine is getting very old as well! Really need to upgrade, quarantine has showed some of my setups weaknesses in certain games (like kcd) also do render videos, takes ages lol.
@@JD96893 I hear ya brother. I'm playing Gears 5 with my friend. still holds up. if it werent for freezing issues with my board id just stay put until a deal was just too good to pass up. i'm still holding off. gl hope yours still holds up until you are able to upgrade
my first gen lives on 😂
I doubt disabling PROCHOT would help at all. It will Throttle CPU when thermal ceiling close to being reached. BD PROCHOT would be for solutions that share cpu/gpu cooling and provides same function between the 2 devices.
i think its the keycap layout being so close you got goin thats making it harder to type on... im rocking a mini keyboard too with the standard style key caps and im over 6 feet tall big ass hands and no issues.

2:10:20 poor guy, 1.4 volts is terrible and the answer is to use the ryzen clocktuner by 1usmus to have a profile of 1 V. but the 3900x probably cant do that, so...
And finally 2.0 endhiran!
I can recomend Thermal Grizzly hidronaut.... or what's it's called....got 15 degrees C off my graphix card... Asus Rog 1080.... boosts higher... more stable...was a good buy for me
How is it compared to the Ryzen 5 1400 or 1500X? No one is comparing these processors even though the 3100 and 3300x are their non oem successors
i recently saw a 2 college girls checking out of Walgreens with 2 bottles of lube
my guess they weren't overclocking computer hardware
Hope they enjoyed it
Aren't you happy RTX Voice came out?
lol, **i use same tool for that sketchy thing, but u must hold it over wires with that and then push down the plastic thing**
Only Tech Jesus can overclock can make the holy Ryzen 3 3100 to 5Ghz run at 1.4v
I'm kinda curious what that patch of carpet looks like.
3300x will be even more interesting to watch
No Viking to pour nitro? :(

thats one thing i HATE about the ryzen bios, having the same setting in 2 different areas and they dont sync when you change one... if you dont know about the second location, it wont post. annoying as hell.. you would think they would do something about this with bios updates. i cant see how they would want them to be out of sync on purpose. it makes no sense
Has Steve done a single core test of this 4 core hamster?
Can you just put a piece of dry ice in the cooler cup?
8:15 in the word Lathe is pronounced Leith not LATH
Bro you are a fucking legend
I use Asus boards only so I don't have to deal with those horrible BIOS menus that MSI, ASROCK, and Gigabyte boards have.
Overclocking with liquid oxygen would be far, far more entertaining.
thx
Lmao all the tater tots for Steve

Is this a movie dude!! Waduheck
Can somebody pls post a timestamp to the highest benchmark score?
I CAN HEAR YOU THE STREAM IS WORKING.
Hi ! I am wondering if RAM clock & latency matters on CPU cinebench scores ? Also, have you got a tip for RAM OC ? which stress application should i use ?
I am on R5 3600 @4.3GHz 1.344V
You probably already know that but I'd suggest you try DRAM Calculator for Ryzen to help with overclocking and Memtest64 to check it for errors. But if you want a stable every day OC you should really use games/programs you usually run to make sure it's stable.
@@MalePifko I'm going to try the DRAM calculator thing and Memtest64, thx :)
@@MalePifko Sadly even the "safest" profile of the DRAM calculator didn't work for my PC. + my low budget motherboard hasn't a clear cmos button, pain in the ars to OC my RAM.
I guess OC CPU & GPU is enough for me :)
Hi from Tokyo!!!
Dude, you got this video in less that 8 minutes???
Steve, do you think that there would be a market for an overclocking computer case that could help prevent condensation?
A market no, diy perks technically made one tho
It was interesting to hear Steve say that he wanted to do a RIPJAY with something that users could compare their scores against. I have a worse card than the FTW3 Ultra that Steve used, and I beat all of his scores while I was still on the stock cooler
Im sorry. All I can think about is dont mess with the zohan. Liquiied nihtrogen.
Do the Ryzen 3 3300x at 5+ghz
ah come on steve, 29ers aren't that bad.
But this is coming from a 6'2" dude that mainly rides road bikes lol.
nah, I've sometimes wondered why it'd be like running 650B instead of 700C... cause when I'm not clipped in, my front wheel clips my forward foot if i have to do any fancy manouevering... it makes practicing track stands a PITA. and i've got small feet, running a 50cm frame
