Such a beautiful airplane with the best sounding engine I've ever heard. If I could share a story with you, I was working on something in my garage One Summer and I heard an aircraft flying overhead. It had an unusual sound unlike anything I've ever heard before and I thought it may have been a helicopter. I didn't bother to run out and look. About five minutes later I heard the same sound coming around and I decided to run out of the garage and look into the sky and to my amazement it was a P-51 Mustang which totally sent chills up my back. He was low and coming toward my direction so I started to jump up and down waving my hands and he cocked his wings for me which is still making me smile to this day. That weekend there was the airshow in Chicago on the lakefront. Good luck out there and keep em' flying.
I forgot to stress in my comment that the sound of the Mustang was totally amazing off the charts.

Ive never watched an R/C video that actually made my heart rate increase like this one did. That model is extremely sexy! After 30 years of flying, Ive said Lipo's changed the R/C world so much that gas was a thing of the past. I take that back now!

Electric models are good for flying fields which has noise limitations and for those which don't like to handle with fuel.
I'm happy that there are still many pilots use the loud and stinking petrol version ;)

I much more prefer the sound of the moki 250 and 400.
That is a kolm engine, four-stroke and sounds fantastic. Also has a remote starter, I've use remote starters on several of my planes. Remote starters are very inexpensive approximately $110, and it takes about 25 to 35 minutes to install and it uses a lithium ion 3 cell battery. I've seen his plane fly in person several times it looks great and sounds fantastic.

That has to be the Most AWESOME sounding model I've seen since the Moki powered Corsairs and Thunderbolts. How cool would this be in a Mustang. I think I'd lose my mind!
This Spitfire still sounds and looks the best in flight.
This is the only model spitfire I've seen that actually flys with grunt and looks like the real thing. One can just imagine watching the first spitfire flat out making the crowd really excited and just like this brilliant model. Thanks for posting. Great flyer also.

That's got to be the best sounding rc plane I've ever heard.
Type in ( moki 400 ) in the search bar. This Kolm is awesome no doubt and makes since in a water cooled type air frame like the spitfire, but nothing beats the pure power of the moki radials sound.

Even my wife was laughing and cheering at this one.
We just had a bit of "blurry screen syndrome" watching the Galloping Ghost with this same engine. My parents were there that day working pit crew for Czech Ride. These engines have such an incredible sound... it's easy to see and hear the real thing in them.

Best sounding model yet - exhaust pulse rate is about right. Imagine a Merlin at about 1/4 of the rpm !!
The Kolm 3 cylinder is doing 10 - 12Krpm, the Merlin 12 cylinder doing 2500 to 3000 rpm.

I've been watching RC jet vid's for ages (I'm not an RC hobbyist) and have been amazed at them, yet this Spitfire has to be the best I've seen yet of any RC plane.

Wow, that Spitfire is spittin fire… holy hellishly fast and sounds just awesome as well! Gorgeous fighter and the pilot flew the wings off it! Very pretty landing to cap off an amazing flight of an amazing planes! One look at those velocity stacks and cylinders you knew it was going to bad too the bone! I was waiting to see the spit with this engine and finally, last weekend I got the chance to shot a video of it. Last year it flew with a 2 cyl. KOLM engine. Now one cyl. more and even with a e-starter. Thanks to Thomas !

I love RC planes but I'm constantly annoyed with video of them on UA-cam. they have shaky camera work, poor sound and in some cases even annoying intros or music. This is by far the best RC plane video I have ever seen. the flying was great, the engine sound amazing and the quality of the video itself was great. It's amazing to see how a 3 cylinder sounds so close to a V12.

What i see here in this video is the best representation of a spitfire to date .. even the sound on the last garound is so authentic ,I felt like I was there .. and so fast and flown like scale .. Im impressed .. such a nice job !!!!

Totaly agree ! 3, 6, 9 and 12 cylinders have the same explosion cycle, that's why it's close to the real Merlin sound :)

Id rather see a 2 blade prop on it Cuz then it would give a very scale prop rip sound on top of the beautiful combustion sound that would really make scale enthusiast drool even more

btw. I am _not advertising_ for Kolm engines. It arises automatically when different models with different engines are available while filming.
All 4 stroke engines are sounding great. I like them all. Moki, Kolm, Armin DeVries, Seidel, Saito etc. etc.
