re: "and they still used a v12" true, true, but now they've won LeMans 2x with their 120 degree "Wide Angle" V6, which many don't realize is actually a SUPER OLD engine Ferrari built way back circa 1961 for the "shark nose" Ferrari 156 (ie, the early "cigar shaped era" of F1). so the engine that debuted in the 2021 296 GTB (and McLaren Artura) is actually their "Gen-2". FUN FACT: Renault built a "Wide Angle" V10 (111 Degrees) for their return to F1 in 2002, these were the famous Renault Yellow/Benetton Blue Mild Seven Tobacco Livery cars, Fernando Alonzo at this point was simply a Test Driver. very few will have any knowledge about the existence of these 2 engines.

Fast forward 20 odd years and it turned out to be one of the most legendary cars they have ever put out, so I'll keep my scepticism reserved before I learn more about the car.

You are still the GOAT of commentary and narration. Surreal
It's looks something a kid would build on Christmas day
Lmao hahahaha. Yes it does! The best comment by far and so accurate.
I'm a huge Ferrari fan, but I hate this. They obviously tried to make a modern F-40, but they failed miserably. It should have had a V12 not a V6, the black trim pieces look out of place, the black air vents on the nose are HIDEOUS. It needed round taillights obviously, and I could go on.
Not impressed.
V6 BECAUSE THE TOP PERFORMANCE!!!!! IT WOULD BE SLOW WITH V12
FERRARI STILL HAVE V12 CARS!!!! THE 12CILINDRI
It would be faster with a v8 or v10, they only went with a v6 to be woke like F1@kubatheboss
@@deathtrooper2048"woke like f1" is the stupidest sentence i have ever read
@@SuomiNamco Are you really trying to deny F1 being woke?? That was the whole reason they shifted to V6 hybrids.
I agree, not impressed with this or the Dodici Cilindri! Not an attractive car and too much of a leap away from typical Ferrari styling! The black bar and vents are disgusting and you’re right about the lights, would much prefer seeing some round lights or even the squared off circles from cars like the sf90! I really want pininfarina designed cars back at Ferrari because this current design language is so weird and not really Ferrari!
The front view of it as shown at 19:06 has no appeal for me whatsoever.
"no appeal" i hate to say it, but it's weird and ugly😬
Best all around life of cars bk 🙏 more sponsorship reviews for all😊😊😊🎉
Flagship LaFerrari with a V6, sad moment of silence.
Unless F1 goes back to V12.....
@cj41079 the valkarie has a v12, the new lamborghini has a v12, the 812 successor has a v12...
@@uhuh9595 AMG 1 just set the record at the ring with a V6…..
Believe me V12 is the dream but times have changed as you know….
True. New Bugatti has a NA 16
You clearly don't understand motorsports. Yes it's not as passionate but this is litteraly the ultimate track car.
It´s like ChatGPT design a car but you forget to put the imput word: "beautiful"
🤣🤣🤣
Good one😂
You can hate the design of the car, but man ferrari implemented EVERY. SINGLE. TECHNOLOGY. thats emerging between last decade and today into this car, really amazing 😍
Doesn't make it desirable
I can only imagine how horrible maintenance and reliability will be.
But that won't matter since most of these will be garage queens
That FRONT!!!
Dafuk...?
An entire team of people actually signed off on this design??
They want to be apple😂😂😂create anything..loyal fanbase will buy anyway
LaFerrari for the win. The prices are gonna shoot up
I'm just curious who at Ferrari thought that black bar in the front looks good?
Just give me the car with all the black bits in the front in the actual car color.
What do you have to do with a $4 million car? You'll never even sit in it, clown.
Flavio Manzoni
Regardless of the bad design
Now we have a v12 suv
A v8 supercar and a v6 hypercar
Good job ferrari you didn't learn from the sf90 sales disaster 😡
Just to let you know they have sold all 799 units of this car.
@@hellcat-707 ofcourse they are all sold, Just like McLaren w1. Sold before revealed to world.
@@terot8341 So, nothing to learn here as the OP was suggesting, as the car is already sold out.
@@hellcat-707it's not gonna last forever if they keep designing such ugly cars
i always appreciate your passion, in this case thank you for the detailed look at the chassis, love those inboard suspensions and 3D printed arms
@1:58 The LAF came out when f1 cars had v6 as well and they still used a v12
re: "and they still used a v12" true, true, but now they've won LeMans 2x with their 120 degree "Wide Angle" V6, which many don't realize is actually a SUPER OLD engine Ferrari built way back circa 1961 for the "shark nose" Ferrari 156 (ie, the early "cigar shaped era" of F1). so the engine that debuted in the 2021 296 GTB (and McLaren Artura) is actually their "Gen-2".
Wow it looks like the sp3 the sf90 and the 12 cilindri
Yes totaly ugly
And F40
re: "Wow it looks like the sp3 the sf90 and the 12 cilindri..." and the 499P Hypercar which all draw their inspiration from the 330P raced at LeMans in the mid 1960's.
It looks like the New Ferrari 12 Cilindri & The Ferrari SP3 Daytona had a baby 😊
I agree. The tube top across the front.
Nice work Shami I love it ferrari
All the real ones know the true successor to LaFerrari is Daytona SP3 not this lego car...
So true
REAL!!!!
"Real ones" can actually afford to buy it. So that leaves you out 😂😂😂
Sp3 is ugly as shit too
Yep! That's true!
Gordon Murray's T.50 is the automotive mic drop.
I think the T.33 is better looking.
The 33 is nice too, for much less $ and worldwide homologation.😊
New Bugatti
@@TheDCJason agreed difference isn't large though, both will still look great decades from now.
It literally looks like a full size lego techic
The most you can afford is a Lego model of this car, you will never even sit in the real one, that’s a fact.
@@malleusmaleficarum4572If you're not allowed to have a "negative" view of something you cannot afford, then someone who cannot afford one is also not allowed to have a positive view about it either. You have to keep the same energy with both people if you're going to hold that view.
@@malleusmaleficarum4572 ironically i cant even afford the Lego version if the Lego SP3 is anything to go by (which it is) the last time i checked the large Lego kit for the Daytona SP3 was $430 bucks US. just no way i'm paying that when i've got REAL car parts to buy. for comparison, the large Lego kit for the Porsche 911 GT3RS is over $1000 bucks US, so considerably more than even the model of a V12 Ferrari.

Tim😳 The man who lived!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thanks as always 👍🏽
Believe me the design will grow on you. Reading all the negative comments reminds me of the introduction of the LaF. People said it had no elegance, looked like a bug, way uglier than the Enzo..etc. Exactly the same is happening now with people praising the LaF.
Exactly!!! To me it's so beautiful. The laferrari was called weird at release. Now everyone calls it's beautiful. This car is gonna grow on everyone. It's so beautiful
i hope so😅
It's a trend to hate the new Ferrari cars. Interestingly, despite all the negative comments, the F80 looks like a hypercar while the W1 looks like a generic supercar!
@@hellcat-707 exactly man. the f80 is so good looking. I agree the w1 looks like the rimac nevera im surprised nobody said that. the p1 sticks out but the w1 just looks like very average,
Because this is even uglier 😂
Wow!! Its awesome..and the knowledge of shmee...icing on the cake
I just want to point out to all the people that when the Enzo came out, it was an enormoulsy criticised design, and people hated it (despite it being quite literally named after the founder). Just as well as features as the gearbox and it's digital display on the instrument cluster. Fast forward 20 odd years and it turned out to be one of the most legendary cars they have ever put out, so I'll keep my scepticism reserved before I learn more about the car.
@@Emeljayy enzo is the ugliest supercar ferrari imo now its F80
Enzo still looks ugly.
re: "people hated it". just want to say i'm on record from the beginning as "loving it", but then again i'm one of the few who's actually been paying attention to the Motorsports/Racing field for the last 50 years. the Enzo's "Formula One Nose" cements it as my all time favorite. and what very realize is that the Enzo was designed by a Japanese Industrial Designer Ken Okuyama. it would appear this "Industrial Ethos" has now been picked up (and applied across the board) by Italian Industrial Designer Flavio Manzoni. love both SF-90 and the 12-Cilindri.
@@phillyphil1513 The ugliness of beauty is speed.
Switching out the V12 for a V6 is like substituting a mechanical watch for a quartz one. Sure, the latter of the two may be better objectively, but it lacks the emotion/craftsmanship expected from a high dollar item.
the point is pay homage to racing which uses v6, all ferrari specials follow..ok maybe not so much in laferrari but it still have a hybrid system..coming back after 60 years wins le mans twice you should understand why the v6 is in this
3l twin turbo V6 making 900hp holy hell
@@lcwpgstill lame. Also V12s are way smother running engines that also sound better.
@@retartedfreak, there are V12s making more than that right now. Heck, the LaFerrari almost made that with no turbos a decade ago. If it was 1,200hp (from the V6 only), I might feel differently, but I'd rather have a Revuelto than this, let alone a Valkyrie or T50/T33.
@@unkindled6410 this is not 1990's anymore lol
a different era and ferrari winning le mans twice no way they would not use the configuration like their 499p

ford gt from few years ago is similar, how many say losing the v8 is lame but the v6 turbo is so much better racing..a big engine is nice for your emotion but times changed and its not the big heavy engine anymore these days

Never clicked a link so fast!
……….and been so disappointed right?
I understand why people are upset.
Ferrari could put a gas guzzling V12 in their family SUV.
Put a V12 in their GT front engine car.
Lamborghini could continue to make a V12 flagship car that now has more than 1000hp so Ferrari being the first to make a hybrid V12 ten years ago should’ve perfected it by now.
Naaah , this can't be it . Ever since Pininfarina left ,they've been going down 😢

No, more like a blotched truck inspired body kit on the last Corvette. If going for a more than 1000 horse power blocky design I will take an Espace F1, much more beautiful is this category...
No it doesn't I've seen plenty of F40 concepts on Pinterest and literally all of them look way better than this
botched f50
Another brilliant introduction, Tim.
The fact that this would never sound near as good as a NA V12 is the icing on the cake
People who drive these cars don’t want sound. Sound is for people who can’t afford them. Sound makes these cars inconvenient to drive around the city and their neighborhoods.
The F40 DNA IS BACK
New f40 is on the way as well
No, F40 might have been a blocky design but also a very simple and pure design, hence why it is timeless, this F80 is nothing like, so overdesigned and ugly.
I honestly think manufacturers should not focus their time on 0-60 figures but rather try to keep the v12s and the manuals as much as possible. I don't care if this car makes the 0-60 in 2.1 or 2.5 but I do care if it has a v12. It just feels like it has no soul just like the W1 in my opinion
V12 for a family car Purosangue , but V6 for hyper car????
@@marcusrusek that makes no sense at all they are chasing nurburgring laps and fastest 0-60 I don't think this is the whole point but hey they sell it before it is revealed so they can make the most money basically
