These houses used to cost 500-600k tops. Things have gotten so expensive
@@mssha1980 wow! That’s ridiculously cheap if you compare with houses in Canada. Same house would be a million dollar at the minimum in a tier 2 or 3 city (excluding Toronto GTA, Vancouver, Montréal and Ottawa). Easily $2 million+ in tier 1 cities.
Install a back yard pool, and you have an urban resort, beautiful home.

Not to worry, the Taxes on this home in Texas makes it comparable (monthly payment wise) to most other states.
Please somebody tell me why houses in Texas are cheaper comparing to other states? I move to US this year, choosing between Florida Colorado and Washington states, thank you
Texas has very builder-friendly codes. Homes are cheaper because they’re built cheaper. 4 inch exterior walls instead of 6, poor water barriers, cardboard sheathing, foundations that warp and move. We spent more on our house in CA but we got a much better-built house. Don’t just look at dollars. You get what you pay for.
More desirable places will cost more. I personally hate the heat and hate the snow so I love the mild weather of Washington the most

I never understood why the dining room is near the front entrance. I could see a formal living room. But, most homes are built this way now. Confusing to me. Beautiful home.

In Canada, this house would be over a million, we don't get as much house for the dollar. However we have health care which is important because if you get sick or in an accident we don't lose our home to.pay the medical bills .
Actually you could get such house around a million $ Canadian in a normal housing market, presently it is over inflated but coming down. Don’t forget $ USD is 1.33 $ CAD, so the house price is similar. Look outside GTA and other bigger cities.

Well, I don't like these kind of houses. Ceiling are way too high. Who should install a lamp on the ceiling? You always need to pay someone. Who cleans the house. The house wife, staying at home mom? You somebody to pay for cleaning.
