- I'm so excited to finally share this one!! The Scorpion is such a quintessential halo vehicle and I'm glad I now feel like I've done it justice in its brick form. This took almost 2 months on and off (mostly on) to get done and is the longest build I have shared so far.
I've said most of what I want to say in the video, but ultimately, I don't see a reason why MEGA shouldn't consider ultra detailed vehicle sets. I think this is a prime example of how detail doesn't necessarily mean fragile. Who knows, maybe one day!
If you're down here reading the description, then I'll let you in on a little secret. I've spent the last while expanding bases/film sets as I plan things on just getting bigger and better (maybe not every video though!) A like, comment and sub would go a long way to helping me potentially keep expanding size and scope of what I make, who knows where this might go!

Here's a shot in the dark that mega blok has never even attempted with its Halo sets what if instead of storage compartments you swapped it out for battle damaged pieces like that back vent which is the weak spot on the tanks swap it out for like a flamed damaged version.

Awesome work, all your MOCs impress me with not only the scale/accuracy but all the advanced techniques/angles you use. If you don’t mind me asking, which sets do you source most of your parts from? Mega doesn’t make too many in that forest green color lately lol
Thank you. Honestly I can't really help with sets as there are far to many to keep track of. The main ones for this would be the Cybertruck, halo 5 pelican, halo 4 scorpion sting, and original Falcon, but there are likely bits from far more other sets. I'm not fussed about keeping any official MEGA set built (unless they come out with a UCS style line) so everything I get fairly quickly gets sorted into parts bins for mocs. Most of my pieces are acquired from used ebay listings and the like as its the most cost efficient way to acquire the most pieces, but everything after 2015-16 dries up in the UK so the bulk of my parts are from sets around then or before.
The poor private who was constantly hazed when he has to retrieve the shovel😂
Man makes me wish there was a UCS Halo MEGA line
This. I kind of said it in the video but the demographic of Halo is older now (18- 35 odd). So I imagine they'd capture a market of people willing to spend if the sets were worthy of premium prices. I also find many of their build techniques are still quite simplistic. I think by pushing the boat out on advanced techniques (to enable more features / detail especially) they'd also garner a little more respect in the brick building community in general.
Absolutely amazing. The best UNSC ground vehicle in your skillful style. Now the real question, do you have have plans for a figure scale Pelican, and will it be able to support a Scorpion on its cargo hold?
I wouldn't say I have plans for it per se 😉 and oof that'll be a tall order. I did go into the design of this with a "connection hardpoint" in mind, but it never presented itself during the build. Maybe one day though.
Man, your mocs are just absolutely flawless & everything I want a Mega set to be. After your warthog, falcon, & hornet mocs I was really blown away for the amount of detail & functionality your mocs have on such a small scale. But after seeing your scorpion I see you have the proportions perfectly scaled & thats imo reallly damn impressive. Cannot wait to see what you tackle down next! Would like to see how you handle a pelican, an elephant (a bit extreme ik 😅), or even some covenant vehicles. But just to add, I have been watching for a while & noticed your side builds with the crates & jerrycan builds. Their really nice peices of scenery so Id think itd be also cool to see how you buid Halo's UNSC barricades, crates, etc. Would also be interesting to see some of Halo's civillian vehicles like the cargo trucks in Reach or the futuristic cars in ODST. You have a lot of potential as a fantastic MOC builder & I cant wait too see what you have to create next!
(Just wanna add, the Elephant Sandnest set is on sale on Amazon, so if you wanted some tank track pieces Id recommend copping at least 1, or you can be like me & buy 4 😂)
Thank you. Great ideas! More scenery is definitely on the agenda at some point, as are logistics vehicles. Elephant is a little out of my budget (even on sale), especially in the UK unfortunately. I also find it hard to justify the expense as I have no need for any metallic green, kinda wish I could buy the set sans green bricks so I could get just the figures, treads, grey and detail pieces. 😅
You know the moc is going to be good when someone makes a video with the full story.

i think a primary reason why the tracks don't move super well is because they're inside out. there's no tread pattern visible, and the guide horns are in the outside.
You're right about them being inverted. To achieve the low profile, I had to use bar pieces rather than wheels in some of the tread assembly. These interfered with the guide horns making them harder to move when not inverted. Not ideal, but hopefully when I can adjust tread length with the new interlocking tread pieces (at some point). I can update the design to have proper rolling treads.
Holy shit I never knew I had a first wave HW Skorpion! Got a bin full of legos a few years ago and found some of, if not all, the pieces in it (some 4x2, the hatch, the tread guards, and some other pieces).

This is just epic! Your mocs just capture the in-game models with such accuracy and precision that its a work of art. I wish that I collected Mega sets before. I haven't played any HALO games before, but the universe just meshes with what I like.

This is awesome, you did a great job bringing the Scorpion to life! Love that you focused on the H3 variant too as I'm not a fan of the massive vents on the side reach replaced the spare track links with.

My goodness it is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! I wish you had step by step instructions and all the parts needed in a list. This is like Lego UCS quality right here! The fact that Mega doesn’t have a similar line kills me. I’d love to build one of these for my desk.
I abosolutely love the amount of effort and attention to detail you put into this build, truly unlike anything we've seen from MEGA. Keep up the amazing work! Another thing I love seeing from you is you always try to raise the bar with each build because you never conform to just "good enough" or the bare minimum you always go back to the drawing board and find new ways to improve your work which again I love to see!
My goal is to always eek out the most possible detail and functionality as possible from a brick built model, so thanks, your comment is really appreciated!

This is amazing! Even though it would be very difficult to make something like this with aftermarket parts, I would still love to see instructions for this or a build very similar to this just to have a chance at getting a scorpion this good. But who knows, maybe Mega will eventually make an elite/pro builder series for Halo sets to fix the scale of figures and vehicles.

Yup agreed 343 makes everything look dumb that's why I stopped playing Halo Infinite multiplayer and sold my game. These dummies got the Todd Howard syndrome like bruh they should of just hired those Bungie Devs looking for work and just work with them.
