- I'm back with yet another Warthog. The M-12B (AKA 343 Warthog) Mega seems to think you can't get enough and I guess neither can I.
Despite my dislike for a significant amount of pre 2020 343 era designs, I think they actually did a decent job with the Warthog, not as good as the OG, but still. It's just a shame that they essentially treat it as an upgrade / replacement rather than a different model in is own right. It'd be really cool to maybe see one as a stripped down "airborne" more transportable version potentially.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, thanks for watching!

Yeah I saw you comment before hoping for this, so I'm glad you like it! Art style is just opinion really. I think it depends on taste and when people found halo in general. I'm a halo 3 era guy so I really appreciated it for the grounded Sci fi aesthetic.
@@HaloReforger I have played the series since the original back when it came out, although being very young at the time. By the time I was old enough to start appreciating the art, the storytelling, the music, and multi media stuff, I was in middle school and Reach was coming out. My first experiences getting to hone my craft in a multiplayer and get super good at it as well as be old enough to feel emotions from the stories made me fall in love with the new direction. In my mind, the UNSC didn’t need to be as grounded after winning the war, being friends with the elites, and all the technical jumps from Forerunner tech. Just felt obvious to me to move into a more advanced sci-fi direction. My favorite hog will always be the one you were only allowed to inspect in Forza Motorsport 4. For bigger wheels I used some from Mega’s HotWheels line.
The best ones I found are from a green truck. The wheels themselves are the same green used for the Infinite vehicles but if you can get the hubcaps from a 10th anniversary Warthog run set and stick them on there, that would cover up the brighter green.
It’s not quite the same green, it’s like 60% of the way from the Infinite green to the old dark green. So it wouldn’t be perfect but the size is a big improvement.
This looks like a mix between the Mega Infinite Warthog and the Fleetcom one. Awesome

Very nice! I've actually come to like the M12B variant. It's a bit more rugged and realistic while still maintaining the fundamental Warthog designs. You've managed to capture the same thing with this build!

Two questions, do you plan on making instructions files for your MOCs, it would be nice yo have the chance of buying the instructions set?
And second, I already ask you about that but, do you plan on make a video, or it could be a short, to show us how did you make your video's floor?

Thanks so much! Yep the bases I've made will likely be a series of videos. And Instructions are a possibility. As far as I'm aware there's no MEGA equivalent of stud.io, so that makes making instructions to sell much harder unfortunately. We'll see though
Nice moc, I had the same issues with the 343I warthog as you did, including the fact the rollbars were removed in the infinite model, I still don't like this change as it made their warthog less unique.
I also have never understood why CA used this model in Halo Wars 2, since it again makes no sense from a lore/timeline perspective and it also can't be excused in this case considering they combined bungie/343 designs in HW2 and making a bungie style warthog wouldn't have required that much effort. It's not a bad redesign but the fact it keeps returning earlier in the timeline than it should irks me.

Amazing stuff, how do you make the floors in the backgrounds?
Personally I prefer almost every design in the bungie era to the 343 counterpart and I believe the style was just superior overall, but the halo 5 wraith actually looks really good to me. It’s definitely got some flaws in its details, but the overall shape and silhouette is such a good take on the original wraith design. Idk tho
