Not out here yet, so my options were to order now or extend the etron by 12 months. Like buying a laptop a couple of decades ago, the only good days to buy were yesterday, so you have something and tomorrow so you get the new thing. I did a 3 year lease expecting my options would be far greater on renewal.
I also thought about the BMW i5 tourer. I’d prefer 4x4, which made the BMW expensive, especially after adding some option packs. New ID7 Tourer GTX ticks all the boxes but it’s even longer than my etron 55.
Model Y should be terrific on the run to the Alps. High efficiency and fast charging. I think all superchargers are open to all EVs in France. Don’t own a ski apartment ☹️ - usually Airbnb.
Perhaps it isn't the most exciting choice, but the Audi Q8 e-tron would be a great fit and uncompromising. I've loved Ski-tron so far.. so... continue.
There’s a lot I like about the Audis. Well built and nice materials. The route planning and charging stop guidance may not be as good as Tesla but it works really well. The eTron 55 is superb on a long run for comfort. But on autoroutes I can get range down to 170 miles (although that’s not a problem)
Another car coming to the UK that might be worth considering will be the Zeekr 001, but probably not until next year

Id7 tourer? Long though. Didn't realise q6 didn't come with air. I expect to see you in a Macan...

I leave my skies down there and I don't have kids crame in the back so I'm picking up a Model Y next week :)

Thank you! It’s won’t be a Tesla - too many UA-camrs with one 😂
You little tease I think you will go for another Audi the Q6 e-tron 50, whatever it is it will be fun
