- I manage to meet a lovely family in the northern range and was delighted to do a story on them, it was fun, i even learn some valuable stuff from them.
A family who engulf their self's with nature.
Never knew about this spectacular lookout, it is actually behind their home, it is better than the view from the roadside.
One last thing, i shot the video on a misty day, so seeing it from this video may not do much justice.

Really impressed with their community spirit. The Ministry of Agriculture or Tourism should honor the family by rewarding them with an income package for their social duties.
I was really impressed my self, I was not thinking that house was responsible for keeping that place like that, on till I enquiry about the view, got to interact with them. I was amazed, if we could get more people to think like them, we would look like Tobago. The government should really reward them.
I totally agree with you 💯 because when looking at the video everywhere is CLEAN also the Ministry of Tourism should organise tours and place adds for tourists and local alike to visit places like this💯. Also the Ministry of Agriculture should invest in this initiative because the plants that grows in the area are natural medicine, even the soil seems to be very fertile whereby perishable can be grown in the area
@@rodneyjoseph6059 I think the Ministry of Tourism they should invest some finance in that area the family treat it really good love dat
Very impressive .I agree this family needs to be recognized for their level of commitment to the country's natural environment. I would like to see this love for community and environment spread throughout Trinidad.
I agree with the income package they deserve the support.
A family who knows the true riches of life 🙌🏾🙏🏾🎁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I agree 100%
Live free.
Be free minded
I always say I could live in the forest, it's a good life should be no problems, grow your own food, should live longer too.
I would like to know the other name for aguma, I was a child with shingles, that's what my parents gave me to drink the exact as well to put on the affected area. Thank you. I am also from Paramin, Trinidad, up in the mountains. Blessings
What you need to know is that families living in rural communities in Trinidad are not like rich whites who chose to unplug and simplify their lives rather they cannot afford to live close to proper amenities and are most likely a 3rd or 4th generation who knows no other area as home.

@@neddssl yeah
Las Lapas meaning the macaws or clinging vines. I have asked people in the area about the meaning but could not find anyone who knows. You can get to this spot via the Arima Blanchisseuse Road or from Lopinot if you have a 4X4, or a 1hr hike along the road. One of the best views in Trinidad and certainly one of the cleanest maintained privately by Mr. James & family. Strange thing, some Trinis will come here and comment on the cleanliness but still throw rubbish down the hill and even in front of the man house. Mr. James tirelessly cleans nonetheless. Very generous and grateful guy. I will bet if you ever put money into his donation box you will end up with something from his garden to carry home. I once got 3 ripe cocoa and a bunch of bananas after dropping something in the box. This guy and his family are really friendly to all visitors.
Some powerfull words here, and you are so right, you describe this family very well. Excellent message here. Thanks a lot sir.
Nothing like living the natural life...the views...the ocean...peace perfect peace...the leaves are for the healing of the nation...love the ambiance...love n light to the James family...✌✌✌❤❤❤👌👌❤🤗🤗🤗😇😇😇🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹👐👐👐

We often hear about carnival or curry,or music, but we never hear or see the natural beauty of Trinidad! I hope to see more videos, I always felt that the island was secretly beautiful!

Hey, thanks a lot, wishing you all the best as well.
I grew up in Mississauga. Great city!
What a sweet, kind , humble family. God Bless them, they are doing his work keeping Las Lapas pristine.
Thanks a lot.
I LOVE THE MUSIC IN THIS VIDEO. Calming.
It feel like early day of waking sunlight hits my energy and refreshing feeling in the morning of wanting to clean the environment to keep a clean nature. I love the calming music that is playing.
Those children are experiencing a richness that most city kids will never understand in their lives. Amazing.
So true
Won’t lie ... this made me emotional. Just a beautiful video
Thanks for sharing, beside, it's all good. 😁 smile
Me toooooo
I will closed my eyes and eat in their yard they are very clean people please I want Randon Mitchell to see this.video so the government can help them nice family this is what we need in Trinidad
Lol, yes they are very very clean people, they amazed me
Randall Mitchell
The moment the government sees this it will go to the ground so I don't think that is what Las Lapas needs
I strongly agree with this .... these people look very nice and friendly people ....
Ministry of tourism should pay them for up keeping the place. Lovely family. God bless them.
Well said anything good for your immune system is good for your whole body. That man is a doctor without a degree.
Lol, he really speak so genuine, really in to his herb as he share it with us. Thanks for your comment
I declare GOD BLESSINGS always to be upon your wonderful family.
Thank you, blessing to you as well.
I am proud to say I know this family and can call them friends. When you visit them, you leave feeling blessed and enlightened in spirit and you never leave empty-handed - you are sure to be given some kid of fruit, vegetable or plant. They are a wonderful genuine loving couple. The kids are a delight. When you visiting Carry something for them...no matter how small- at least for the kids.
Very true, thanks a lot and happy new year. Really appreciate your comment
This is what I called living.. These people more happy than those living in mansion.. But to live in Devine Nature is the most beautiful for one soul.. However, keep out OUTSIDER'S because when people start to Enter the place get destroyed.. Land's start cutting down N Tree's! Keep it Organic.. Look how happy those kids are even the animals too with tons of Joy.. Thanks for sharing this video much appreciated
We should not wait on the Government to assist them let us all contribute what ever we can to them when we visit them and we should also make and share videos of this place so the world will see this priceless treasure
Wowww.. Almost like being in the garden of Eden
Glad this video popped up in my feed. What a kind and gracious family. A family that prays, play and work together, stay together. Blessings from Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Blessing to you as well.
Would love to visit and hopefully donate to them once this pandemic calms down.
Had to come back a second time, you could really feel the love coming right thru the screen . A true meditation. These vlogs should be shown in hospitals and other places to uplift people. Positive vibrations, healing. Thank you again and to the family.
Lol, you inspire me to do better, lol
I could feel your vibes, thanks so much.
@@Husiff yes sir, indeed.
I see this couple and i think back the novel, A Brighter Sun by Samuel Selvon. He is so Tiger and she is shy and reserved like i think Urmilla would be. Awwww. Such a cute down to earth family.
Omg just recently I was trying to remember the name of that novel I read in literature class. Scrolling through the comments and found it !!! Thanks.
Beautiful family...a sense of how Trinis once’s lived. Hopefully and I’ll pray for dem that those bandits wouldn’t go to their neighborhoods and stain it with violence and murders...robberies. Beautiful area...WOW! Nice video 👍🏽 GOD bless!
They would be ok, positive vibes, but I know we can't turn a blind eye to crime. Let's hope for the best, thanks for your contribution. Love and respect. Bless
It might be too far for the bandits to hang out but they would do anything to get what they want.
Thanks for that video. I knew nothing about Trinidad's landscape. All they showed us was carnival. What majestic mountains? Beautiful family. Hello from 🇯🇲
you are welcome, blessing to you
🌸 15:24 wow that pink flowering weed on bottom right I loved playing with that when I visited my grandmother
I wished I could have stayed longer, I’ll never forget my blissful holidays in Trinidad 🇹🇹💕❤️
Why would people go up there and trash such a beautiful place. Thank you James family for keeping the place pristine.
Lol, hmmm you find people doing all sort of crazy things, we share the world with caring and uncaring people, but seems like the be the better person works, you help who can't and who dont. The World is still going, think I want to help do some cleaning on this island some time. Maybe I might come up with an idea.
@@Husiff true
I would luv to visit this place, it is so beautiful. God bless this family, they look so happy.
I've been to that lookout many times and that place is always beautiful, clean and well kept. Never knew that family is responsible for it being so well kept. The place is always so cold and seems to have something magical. That lookout is the highest in Trinidad and Tobago at 600 plus meters. Directly above it is tstt stratospheric tower at closer to 700 meters . Truly beautiful.
Yes, you know your thing. Thank for your comment. I learn some stuff here
Real nice me too
Who ever hate this video has no heart swear this is what you call good people 🌿❤️🙏🏾 we need more people like this in the world and in Trinidad on the whole wow....truly heart warming ✨🙏🏾
Sometimes people see things you don't see, some times people interpretation the message wrong, sometimes we don't know what to believe because of experience, there is a lot of contributing factors that could case a dislike, it's the opposition, we need it, don't worry about it. It helps, it helps in many different ways as well, they are doing there part. Stay true blessing to you my friend.
Beautiful. Beautiful. I applaud your community spirit and appreciation of nature. Stunning views. Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲🇹🇹
thanks so much, I appreciate it.
My heart felt elated on seeing this video of Mrs. A James and family! My mom would have loved to see this!
My dad too

Thanks a lot, well pass on your blessing, have a great evening
The smile of content and happiness radiates from this family, especially from his wife. Excellent cinematography Husiff. Proud to be Trinidadian.
I have stopped and passed several times at this breathtaking spot and met this family , They are a hard working nature concious family. In their small piece of paradise they have done more for tourism than all the governments we have ever had.
Hmmm, I would have to side with you until I get better knowledge. I actually really think we need to do more. We our country, I always admire Tobago, let's have the same in Trinidad Nah.
I visited the lookout and had the opportunity to meet the James family. Words cannot do justice to describe the beauty of this place nor the warmth and hospitality of the James family. I absolutely cannot wait to visit again.
Absolutely beautiful
This touch meh 😭😭😭🇹🇹🇹🇹♥️♥️
This family is very Rich in cleanliness
The government should assess this family in all needs plzz
Kindness should be rewarded... Tourist at least can be kind enough to lv a donation in gratitude for getting the opportunity to experience the visit, hospitality and compassion of the family there🤗👍👍👍👍✨✨✨appreciate your kindness 🤗👍👍✨
Well done! Hats off to "Husiff". As a community we can assist the James Family. Your visit can also mean delivering needed supplies, kitchen utensils and anything that can ease their life. Certainly toys, stationery and books for those beautiful kids! Waiting for the gov't to step in will not happen, let's all assist.
Yes, this could be done, just need willing hands
Thanks for the video brother..... brought some peace and serenity to my hectic, frantic existence. I would love to visit them.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful part of Trinidad and the lovely family who care and look after the area. Best life ever they very lucky to wake up to such natural beauty everyday

Thanks a lot, you are most welcome.
Love the rusticness of the video....brings out the authenticity and the true nature of the objects. Great job can't wait to see more
Thank you Mam, I will bring more, Trinidad is a great place. There are stories to tell.
In every walks of life, there are people who reminds of people in the bible, humble and meek. God bless this family with good health and keep the family intact. With good health comes riches so I won't ask for riches for them.
WOW! I'd love to visit this beautiful place🙏❤😊
This is one of my favorite spots in Trinidad. I've been here many times .The James family they are very hospitable and welcoming. They have made our visit enjoyable everytime we're there . His love for his family and nature is very genuine and pure. Am so happy to see where Michael and his Family have journeyed from to this day..very hard working people I only pray that he gets government help to maintain this jewel of Trinidad .May God bless The James Family..
Thanks for highlighting This Family and this beautiful location.

What a delight to watch. Thank you James family for caring for the place. I loved the video from the beginning. Then I saw the goat come towards him. What a beautiful family and property.

Thank you Husiff and the James family. 'When we glorify good, good will follow' watching this was a blessing.
Thanks you so much, i appreciate your lovely comment.
I can never understand how some people will come into a beautiful, clean area like this and then throw their trash all over the place. This family is inspiring. Trinidad is a beautiful place with beautiful ppl.
Hmmm, it's something a lot of us been asking our self, how could that happen, but we share the island with so many different people, you would find a few don't care ones, but raising awareness could fix some of that.
@@Husiff so very true. You're doing great work btw bringing attention to these hidden gems. There are so many gorgeous places in trinidad, if we only find the time to appreciate it.
@@renatamarie5546 Try and find the time, disconnect from the city at times is very important to someones soul, slowing right down admire the things around you, look at it well, appreciation will grow inside you in a way you may have never known. You got to slow rite down at times.
