- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- Randy Khan welcomes us into his family's home to demonstrate how their popular Buss Up Shut/Paratha is made from start to finish. For years, Randy and his family have worked tirelessly to keep his parents' tradition alive.
Watch closely as we see the intricate process of kneading the dough, preparing the butter/ghee, cutting the loyas into their classic cone shape, rolling out and finally, cooking the roti with a final 'buss up' before securing it in an air-tight cooler to keep it hot!

Mouth watering watching this I wish long health and prosperity to this family
This is indeed a science and a legacy for them. Once on my way to Trinidad, I met a woman from India who expressed her love for the food made by the descendants of her people who came as indentured servants. She told me that there is a particular style of cooking from those people that no longer exists in India, hence the reason she loves and appreciates the food.
This guys a sweetheart! ❤ Amazing and thank you for sharing your family experience and craft with us. 🙏🏽

Please people when selling finished food products to the public please wear a head and beard covering and remove all jewelry including watches, chains, rings etc. These practices will prevent foodborne illnesses.
"Nead it to the right constituency". 🤦🏾♀️ ok randy
U herd it too😂😂😂
If there is anyone actually using animal fat AKA LARD in their roti, they should disclose that! And I don't doubt there are people who do that type of stuff in this country!
Muslims don't eat pork. A lot of Hindus do not eat beef and even pork, depending on the Hindu. Then there are other religions and sects within the country that also avoid certain animal products like lard.
I think when he says bitter he means margarine, you knows that's how we talk... Colgate, squeeze, cute etc
@@beyourself2444 I know. Im referring to him pointing out the people who use lard.
@@beyourself2444 I edited the comment to clarify.
Lard is made from fat separated from meat. Ergo, the rest of my comment. Muslims cannot eat Pork lard, Hindus, beef/pork lard or any lard if they're fasting.
Depends on the type of lard. If he referring to lard as cookeen. Then that is 100% vegetable oil
This guy is getting quite a workout by kneading that dough....no need to go to the gym.
it's unhealthy to eat that often
Worse yet those people who eating doubles everyday. My doctor says a roti is a meal for an entire day but you know West Indians we still will eat breakfast and dinner on top of that...
Use real butter, when making roti.
Awesome
