Just finished your CtoC interview and you did such a great job!! ❤ Do you know when your part 2 will be aired?
By the way, Jenny, if you haven't seriously thought about this yet, your life story would make an incredible book/memoir!!! You have such a way with words and how you've woven them together to share your experience~ just know you'll have this girl over here who will buy it & love supporting you!! ❤❤❤
I grew up Christian (Baptist then Evangelical) but there are sooooooo many similarities with our stories!
    Girl, you rock!

Im glad you left and are doing well now. It takes alot of strength and bravery to leave an abusive marriage and start over again, especially with no financial resources. You are doing important work exposing all this.

I cannot imagine what you’ve went through and I’m so happy for you that you have a new beautiful life now🥰 I’m not Mormon, I’ve been married 23 years and have two children, now 23 and 19. I sometimes feel sorry for myself that I do all the shopping and meal planning around here but honestly it’s nothing compared to your story. If I don’t feel like cooking we get takeout. My husband does clean up and dishes, I did work a corporate job for over 20 years and put into a retirement account and will get a small pension but it’s something. Even if God forbid something happened to my husband or he up and left me I do have the means to financially take care of myself. I really hope that the younger generation of young women understand the message you are putting out there to not depend on a man. 💗🥰😘

Jerks/narcissist/extremists exist everywhere, Mormon, mainstream Christian, Atheist, and all ethnicities.
I have a crazy laundry list about my first husband who was agnostic and Hispanic. I don’t believe for half a second that all or even many of non-religious or Hispanics are the same.
I am a LDS (Mormon) woman who struggled to set healthy boundaries for myself.
My second husband is also LDS (Mormon) and is the most selfless and least demanding person I know.
    I am a 50 year old career woman/wife/mother. (Career woman - Engineer/Management for several Fortune 500 companies)
My career has had some rewarding aspects to it, but it pails in comparison to a solid, healthy marriage and being a mother.
Ladies, love yourself enough to put healthy boundaries in place.
I wish I could put boundaries on the federal government that is destroying our economy to the extent that most women don’t even have a choice to be a trad wife, if that’s their preference.

I think it’s easier to set healthy boundaries when you have your own income.
The LDS church certainly does encourage women to stay home and not work. I remember being told to go to college and get my education “just in case” my future husband died in young women’s. I remember being insulted at the time even at a young age, but not everyone reacts that way.

Thanks for your contribution. It is delightful to hear of your positive life experiences.
This UA-camr seems very self focused and ungrateful for the life she had. I'm certain she enjoyed many other perks of being a Trad wife, but is looking at the glass half empty.... Her heart seems very rebellious......

@@tamieaton8445 this comment is wild!!! The church commanded women to stay home and NOT work so you’re breaking the commandments. And it also teaches distinctive gender roles. Divorce and being treated poorly is always sad to hear about - but being bitter and cynical doesn't seem to be a great way of dealing with that.

@@frederikac.5153 With her chosen bitter and cynical mindset, I don't know if much of anything she could show could overcome her obviously stated bias and conclusions.
It's easy to start with conclusions and justify them afterwards - what is much harder is to look reasonably at all relevant details and come to a nuanced and fair conclusion.

    • @OntheOtherHandVideos
      @OntheOtherHandVideos 2 місяці тому

@@frederikac.5153 That's an unfalsifiable thesis, is it not? If I sound like a bot, the only way to know if I'm a bot or not **for sure** is to meet me in real life - which we obviously aren't going to do. Thus the only way to 'prove' I'm not a bot is to 'not sound like a bot'. And what does a bot sound like? Like me apparently.
And I'm glad you addressed my point of bias in the videos at hand and that bias' impact of the trustworthiness of the person speaking, rather than asking if I was a bot. XD
Because otherwise it would seem like you were 1) unable or 2) unwilling to address the point. Which might point to you either being 1) a bot yourself or 2) a bad faith actor.
