  • I think this is a much better way to put holes in your tubs without the buildup or smell of burning plastic from a solder iron. Try a Unibit or step drill. The one I'm using in the video is an Irwin 10231 Unibit #1, 1/8"-1/2". About $16 on Amazon.

    This is a brilliant idea! I've been using the solder iron for all of mine and I hate how many holes I have to put even in a 12 or 15 quart tub with my reptichip. I'm about to head to lowes and pick this up!

    To anyone who may know, is it safe to drill into a gray plastic lid? It’s not a clear lid it’s gray. What is the best way to make holes in that?

    how many holes should I put for a 32qt. sterilize container for my 9 month get stripe cuz I don't wanna put her in the tank with my 2/3month old guy stripe..
