My Great-Grandfather Robert Wright McEvoy fought in WW1 with the Royal Irish Rifles. After the war ended he went back to Belfast and then in 1921 he immigrated to Canada.
Weren't coloured people actually there WW1, building redoubts, trenches, Indian, Pakistani etc from commonwealth countries, they were not armed, as this was a white man's war, it was not PC for a person of colour to kill a white. These coloured youths do not appear to have the honour or mana their forebears had don't you think.
Remembrance Day is for everyone who lost their lives in conflict, Protestant, Catholic, Hindu, atheist, black and white. Colour and religion do not matter. We remember the dead with honour and dignity.
