Best spearfishing video ever, showed it to my family and they loved it! I love how he talks about everything. Unlike all the other Australian spearfishing videos I've seen where they just play music and stuff. This is awesome stuff, keep it up!
80ft deep! Damn, I need some serious practice before I attempt that depth without my tank. Awesome videos, I'm definitely going to give spear fishing a shot after watching your videos. Awesome man!
thank you for introducing me to spearfishing. my family went on a 6 month sabbatical and spearfishing made the vacation all the more memorable. thank you!
Hi Edgun, First, thank you so much for doing all the work to put these great spearfishing videos together. I was born in Cuba close by the sea, and did spearfishing since the age of 12, from the first moment I knew that the sea was part of my life. All your videos bring back awesome memories. Thank you
Awesome fishing . Watching this is as close as I will ever get . I'm a prairie boy in Alberta,Canada and the ocean terrifies me but love watching these great videos
Imthatkorean your lungs are like a muscle, the more you work them out which involves in exercising, the more your lungs expand causing the volume capacity of oxygen to increase. This help to last longer in runs or swims, you build up endurance. Now to hold your breath longer it involves practice and control of holding your breath.
Ted these vids are the best!! I love the change in pace and love love see the different ways to cook up fish! I love my fish cooked up exactly the same way as you!
Righteous!! I used to dive crayfish and mollusks off the Cape coast in SA, havent done in almost 6 years now, since living in UK, these videos take me right back home!! Those are some beautiful fish, well done!
You should start a go fund me for your spear fishing trips. I'd be happy to contribute a little since I've been free loading off these videos for years.
Great video, Ted. New venue, new quarry and a great adventure to share. As usual, the videography, editing, side stories and narrative combine to make great entertainment. Great antidote for cabin fever. Best., Dan in Spokane
Ted, That's probably the ultimate getaway video, my hat's off to you, I did alot of freediving while overseas, (USMC) and this video just brought it all back, Thanks for the video keep-em coming....
Ted - I can honestly say you have some of the best hunting videos on UA-cam. This spearfishing video was superb, too. Loving the channel...keep up the good work!
man all i have to say is i started whatching your videos today and i have been watching them for a bout 2-3 hours love them soo much i am now subscribed please keep em coming :)
Awesome video, thank you so much for sharing! It's not the first time I heard good things about spearfishing today. They are my #1 choice for my next vacation.
Thank you for sharing your trip. I've been to the Caribbean many times and it's a great place. Very friendly people there. I've done some scuba & snorkeling there and it's so awesome on the tropical reefs. I'll be going back too!
Here it is March 21, 2017 and I'm re-watching this video, and it was just as good the second time around!! I wish you could do more of this type of video, but I'm happy getting anything from you!!! Thanks for sharing Ted; .........
good stuff man, love seeing spearo's from round the world targeting different fish but using the same techniques and lingo as we do down here in New Zealand, jealous of that beautiful tropical visibility !
I went to Isla Mujeres, Quinta Roo this summer. Pretty much the same area. I loved it. Beautiful waters, beautiful fish, excellent spear fishing. Great video!
Just bought a GoPro Hero2 and took it scuba diving in Grand Cayman. Used a Snake River Prototyping Red lense for focus and to put the color back in the salt water pic/videos...Used a 32" Long 1/2" plastic conduit with a tripod camera adapter hold it and stabilize to reach the reef fish. 12 Dives, hours of HD video and 1,600 11GB pics and only used 1/2 the 32 GB card! Scuba Dived Cozumel years ago..you could pet huge 6' Groupers under their chins. Good stories and videos, keep it up, thanks,NY
Ted, keep doing what you are doing. I thoroughly enjoy hunting and fishing, and your vids have helped my holdover tremendously. This spear fishing vid was amazing. Very well put together and interesting. You got a hell of a fan base here. I don't own an air gun, I would like to one day, but for now, I really enjoy your vids. Doing great bro. Keep up the awesome work.
Yes,yes, yes, Garlic and butter, Mmmmmmmmmmmm , Im so envious rite now. Keep up the good work, Looking forward to another cooking Video as I do with all your other Video's. Cheers
ive been in love with your airgun videos, and i dont have airguns but i sure do have spearguns and i think its awesome that you also hunt fish to. thanks so much for this video it was and is amazing!!!
Looks like a blast. I sail to the Dry Tortugas every year and we free dive there all day long. When we get to the Keys it's Lobster and spear fishing time. I have a cool video of a large nurse shark following me like a puppy around a wreck off Logger head Island.. Love all your Videos Ted. Keep them coming. I would love to get my hands on a EDgun.
Your videos are really cool man, just got introduced to the channel but i love the way you produce these, the random facts and adventures. really cool... unlike anything ive seen on youtube. keep it up!
Oh I am envious of that! We do a lot of that here in South Texas (will be posting some videos over the course of the summer). Love the video... lots of love to you Sconnies! (My wife is from Orfordville!). Keep posting the great vids!
God this video was so freacking cool. I've watched many other spearfishing videos and I have wanted to do this for some time now. I live in Ohio now but just moved here from Texas where I lived for 21 years. I can't wait to go back visiting and try my hand at this in the Gulf of Mexico by the offshore drilling rigs. Happy fish. Keep the awesome vids coming.
Great video, it is amazing how deep and long you can hold your breath. When we used to snorkel at Devils lake and went down 20-25 feet the pressure was intense. Can't imagine going down 80 feet.
Hey Ted. Been watching your channel for a while now, always good stuff in here with good ethics and practices at work. Hadn't expected you to be into free diving and am very impressed. More of a shotgunner myself but always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!
Great video! We vacation every year down in Mexico, and usually hit Cozumel every other year. Great place to vacation! I really enjoy your videos, especially the fishing one!
Your videos are probably my favorite to watch on UA-cam. They're funny, educational, exciting and just overall awesome :). Kudos for all the videos you've made so far and I'm looking forward to the videos to come! :D
Your video reminds me of my drift dive there. We traveled over from Playa Del Carmen to dive there. Current carried us along and we didn't even have to swim. That drop off you mentioned goes down a thousand feet or more. No recovering that glass bottom boat. Best dive I had ever been on. If you want to spear fish with scuba you should go to Jamaica.
After I made plans to go to Cozumel to scuba dive, I came across this video by chance (and been a fan of your channel since then obviously) I just came back from Cozumel and had an amazing time diving and spearfishing with Leo's crew. I can't wait to go back and bag me a big fish like the one you got :)
Superb video, man. It takes a special talent to get me to watch all the way through a 14 minute youtube video, but this was just damn entertaining and well made. Your channel is one of the most consistently excellent destinations on this site. Keep it up!
The Cozumel Cruise pier is a very good place to see giant barracuda! We drift dive from the drop off at the end of the pier and on a single tank drift all the way to town. On one of those dives I saw a 30 pound lobster in the Marine Park and have photos to boot. Much fun in San Miguel, great video.
I always come back to Ted's, such great videos without dumb jump cuts, clickbait titles/thumbnails. Just what we want! ❤
if u ever get the chance, post more spear fishing vids, they're awesome man.

note in the Bahamas you can't spearfish with a tank
thank you for introducing me to spearfishing. my family went on a 6 month sabbatical and spearfishing made the vacation all the more memorable. thank you!

So awesome of you to share such expiriences with us. Thank you for doing so!
God damn it dude. I don't even like sea food that much and your making me want to eat sea food now
Hi Edgun,
First, thank you so much for doing all the work to put these great spearfishing videos together. I was born in Cuba close by the sea, and did spearfishing since the age of 12, from the first moment I knew that the sea was part of my life. All your videos bring back awesome memories.
Thank you
how long can you hold your breath lol
logic!
Awesome fishing . Watching this is as close as I will ever get . I'm a prairie boy in Alberta,Canada and the ocean terrifies me but love watching these great videos
Ted do more spearfishing videos
I love these videos Ted. I re-watch your diving videos over and over again, your commentary makes it even better
at 3:47 did no one else notice the no nuts no glory saying on the boat
man you have the greatest experiences when it comes to the outdoors. so envious
Just a question, how in the hell do you hold your breath for that long and that deep? Is that just in the Spearfishing training?
There is a video of his spearfishing diving that says he does over 200 miles of cycling every week to build the stamina.
Roberto Garcia wait, but how would that increase his breath hold ? :/
Imthatkorean It requires energy, and energy requires oxygen, so he needs to breath a lot while cycling with how far he's going.
Imthatkorean practice makes perfect (: just a tip for everyone grouper can see the direction your eyes are looking
Imthatkorean your lungs are like a muscle, the more you work them out which involves in exercising, the more your lungs expand causing the volume capacity of oxygen to increase.
