- Haven't played blast beat for months so this is not as solid as my other videos but what the heck, it was fun. :D Please read description before asking what i've used in this video.
In this video i used:
-Pearl Vision VBX drums + Sonor force 3001 snare
-Pearl P-3002D demon drives w/ Axis E-kits
-Balbex 5A nylon sticks
-Shure SE315 in-ear
-Alesis DM5
-Snare mic
-Overhead mic
-Panasonic NV-GS11 dv-camera

Can you explain your hand motion on blast beats? I have watched a lot of tutorials about several techniques and I still don't get it :P Looks like you use only fingers, but how does it work? Are you using snare head rebound more than fingers? Or it depends only on fingers speed? (Sorry for that shitty english :D)
+Woobuz Snare rebound is one major thing when it comes to play fast. I usually use a combination between wrist and fingers. But faster tempos you need to use more fingers. Finger control and technique is easier to find in the beginning if you try to play as quiet as possible and examine what your fingers do and which position and movement feels comfortable.
