😃💁🏽♀️All great tips Kyra. 1 other tip: purchase by your lifestyle & work life. I had to get real that I am in scrubs M-F, therefore I wasn't able to wear all the cute clothes & shoes I had. I did a major declutter. I kept 5-7 pieces of each category of clothing. I kept only rhe items I loved & felt comfortable in.
When I was a kid, I went into my neighbors home. They were minimalist way before it was even a thing. No one was even using the word. It left an impression on me. It was simple and basic, but it was clear, looked clean and peaceful. They were also happy and smiled a lot. I was always more impressed with homes like that. My parents were maximalist.
I’m happy I took my time decluttering. Did it over two years during covid but happy I did it slow. Now everything has a place and every few months I go through it again. My biggest problem in the past was buying bargains. Lots of lovely things but had them piled up. Had seven big boxes of baby clothes at one point. Would have to have found twenty babies to give them as gifts 😂
I agree about spending time with loved ones. My boyfriend passed away recently from oesphagul cancer and my Dad and best friend also passed from cancer. My Mum is also a cancer survivor I spend time with her as often as I can.
I really get what you are saying about spending time with loved ones, we just attended my uncles funeral on the weekend, he was 89 yrs old and my dad's last sibling. My parents are both in their 80's and we spend every long weekend and all of our summer vacation time visiting them ( they are 2hrs away too). So my family isn't getting great family vacation trips to Disney etc. but they are getting to spend time with my parents, their grandparents and I would take that over Mickey and Minnie any day.
This was a great video :) I would love to see a video summarising all the things you decluttered but regretted! So many influencers say they regret almost nothing, but after getting rid of 80 % of my wardrobe almost 2 years ago, there are some real regrets there
I dont like now the “influencer” word😂 its cringy, but you DO influence me to be better with my finances and focusing on what matters instead of material things! So thank youuu for being my “influencer”😅❤ love your videos since forever!!
If I had a bad or rough day at work in the job that I hate, I justify shopping as therapy haha. I tell myself that I deserve to spoil myself for putting up with annoying micromanagers 🤦🏻♀️💀 It’s kinda sad actually… lol but I’m getting better though. I was way worse before. Trying to get out of a toxic workplace is so difficult these days 😢 specially when the pension is amazing and the salary too 😶🌫️
The video started right away that’s just great
I always start my videos right away 😊 that way I’m not wasting any time 😅

I have a habit of sometimes buying clothes just because they are in style .

I actually got the little book 30 Days to Stop Being a Shopaholic by Harper Daniels off amz recently. It was a cute and helpful mindfulness guide.
I love your content and I would say content creator and educator. Keep being true to yourself :)
