- Praksis is back and with a killer hybrid track! I absolutely love the way Security Breach is mixed with A Guardian's Past here. You also get to hear some instruments from Security Breach soloed!

Eramis's lines when Praksis turns up had me going like "Eramis, blink twice if you're being held hostage"
Pretty sure she is just dead inside and wants this all to end. I mean how would you act if you saw one of most trusted friends turned into a living corpse and used as both a fleshy USB and a living weapon with no feelings I'm betting you would feel like nothing and be pretty dead inside.
Think she’s really realised that regardless of her loyalty to the Witness , if her house steps out of line there’s no stopping the Witness just killing all of House Salvation and resurrecting them as Scorn, and making them arguably more loyalty and easier to control
@@walshy1760 The Witness specifically turned close friends of Eramis into Scorn to punish her for failing to gather Nezarec's relics last season. Considering Eramis wants out on the whole Darkness thing in general now because of Eido, this entire situation just got a whole lot more awful for her.
It would be even harder if a different one of Erami's friends showed up as the boss in this mission every week.
I mean Eramis meet Praksis in the Prison of Elders where at first he just bugged her. And in the events of Beyond Light, Praksis was also more useful to Eramis than a true friend.
Phylaks and Kridis, on the other hand, are real longtime friends to Eramis, they were on Riis together. They fought side by side at the Battle of Twilight Gap. And I think those two will be brought back by the witness sooner or later to punish Eramis. And that will hurt her.
Eramis blinks both sets of eyes once.
"Good enough for me." *Readies explosive charge*
We've always known Scorn were zombies, but seeing it happen to a previously named character still makes it feel more gruesome.
Funny. Tragedy hits harder, when its victims have names. If it was few dozen innocent people in some third world country dying in mine collapse, most of us wouldn't care. But when those people were someone we knew... it hurts more, because it was personal loss. I experienced it first hand. More than once. I wish I hadn't...

One of Bungies finest creations. Season 19 was phenomenal
Bungie’s gotten really good at mixing different themes from other songs into one. Like this song has so many themes from different songs it’s amazing
I like that there might also be a bit of symbolism in that just as these musics are coming together, so too are all the story beats of D2 and D1’s past as we approach the climax of the Light and Dark saga. Like here we hear snippets of D2 year 1, meanwhile in the Witch Queen scorn strike you can make out a bit of the Curse Of Osiris soundtrack at times.
From what I can hear, there's the action segment of Acceptance (Beyond Light), Rasputin's leitmotif from A God On Mars (Warmind), a little hint of that Pyramid noise that affected the music during Season of Arrivals, a segment from Keep of Voices (Forsaken), and the leitmotif from Beyond Light as heard in Second Thoughts (Beyond Light). Just by having the context of those tracks and the leitmotifs being used, you can piece together the complex relationship they have with each other in this track. Truly masterful work, mixing all of those together into Security Breach to make it a completely new track.
It really builds nostalgia, especially for guardians that have been playing for longer that "grew up" with these soundtracks. It reminds us of how far we've come
@@aqueenofmoths2929there is also replicate in the beginning and in small parts in the rest of the track
Stranger: I know that scorn! He was one of Eramis’s lieutenants. He died on Europa
Eramis: He name was Praksis, and you killed him. But… the witness has returned him to us. As will all eliksni slain by the machine spawn…
And she says this with a saddened tone of voice knowing this “gift” is her eternal punishment for failing the witnesses demands. She knows the gift it claims is nothing more than a way for the witness to gain easy foot soldiers that are obedient and expendable.
I love this season's sprinkling of leitmotifs in so many songs. The mix of Athanasia right as soon as I stepped out of the pod into the Seraph Station was amazing, I love the Warmind motifs added to Frigid Tomb in the HELM, and of course, this version of Security Breach has been stuck in my head for days.

Banger comment!
Your unknowns at 1:22 (maybe), 5:08, and 5:34 are “A Guardian’s Past” from Warmind. I think 0:52, 1:11, and 4:21 are as well. Specifically, the intro to the High Action section that was cut from the OST release.
Also, the theme from Red War is called “Rise.”
4:33 - 4:55 is the pinnacle point of this track. The way the opening notes from A God on Mars blend into Security Breach is absolutely sublime.
The call and response between the brass of the Warmind Theme and the brass of Security Breach at 2:44 had me quaking. Love love love the music in this game.
Same!
The music from this mission is such a banger. I love the soundtrack for deep stone crypt and this just elevates it.
I honestly thought I wouldn't care at all I was fighting the Technocrat again but I really felt awful for Eramis here. I like how you can tell he's Scorn, despite wearing only a metal arm-piece made by them, from the rotting flesh to the Dark Ether bubbling up to the skin layer of the surface of the skin, even to him no-longer being able to use his pyramid tech since its broken and his splinter was stolen, so his use of Stasis is through the crystals spreading through his body like the ravengers we see with it.really shows how good bungie's design team can be.
It honestly feels as if someone is puppeteering his corpse and its a really weird feeling. It's going to be really strange if we ended up fighting the entire Dark Council who have been Scorned, even though we're likely just going to fight this guy multiple weeks in a row. May need to fight a scorned Taniks lmao, although since he's basically an Exo at this point, I don't see being Scorned brining him back.
Taniks was already brought back from the dead with SIVA. Died, committed full Aksis, died again.
There is no "Taniks"
@@octogorb9853 “Taniks, The Conglomerate”
It is sad tbh. This was once a living being following orders from his kell who he trusted with his life. It cost him his life and he’s now nothing but a corpse being pupated by the witness and forcing Eramis to watch what happens when she fails the witness and its demands
The stench of decay fills the room...
Variks: PRAKSIS!!!!! The Defiled 😂
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of this 🤣
Scorn version of praksis looks sick especially with the growing stasis lob on his back and shoulder
I think its kind of creepy.
I find it disturbing. This is a once named character now as a zombie practically. Doing whatever the witness demands with 0 questions. Even felt bad for Eramis when we enter the room and she says “his name is praksis and you killed him” she sounded truly remorseful for allowing her obsession to kill her entire council. Now she gets to see those she called friends being dead but puppeteered into serving the witness
The ending notes at 6:00 will always and forever remind me of an "against all odds" victory.
Final day of the season, helped a very frail and ill-equipped new-light friend who'd barely just started in the last few days of Seraph to get the fully-maxed Revision Zero: All catalysts, all intrinsics. Final run on legendary, my mental health was straining at the seams; we had *minutes* until the pre-lightfall server shutdown, and I was teetering between almost dead and a hair from death trying to beat Praksis; 2-man, with me soloing all of it on arc hunter, and Praksis beefed up by being on legendary with 2 people. Finally landed the killing blow, didn't even stop to celebrate, just exclaimed for my friend to hurry to the terminal as fast as his legs could carry him.
Literal seconds. As soon as he ran up against the chests to get his loot, we didn't even have time to do a high five emote or anything; the servers shut down and we were kicked to the title screen. A stream of joyous tears were shed that night. We'd made it, even if by the skin of our teeth. A few missed shots; not even a wipe or a rez; would have been the difference between walking out of there with all 4 catalysts and the 4th intrinsic, or with absolutely none of it; forced to wait until Season 22 to get them.
Never give up, Guardians. Even that which is massively stack against you is far from impossible when you give it your all!
**PRAKSIS, THE DEFILED!**
Thirrrsts for your Liiight...
This is so freaking good. Two of my favorite tracks!
5:08 to the end is just * chef's kiss *
Security breach is one of the best soundtrack
This season really gave us the best bits of Beyond Light mixed with Warmind and the overall quality of The Witch Queen campaign.. A striking exotic mission with legendary modifier, excellent music as a best of mix. Further character development both with Rasputin and House Salvation.. And also freakin Praksis once again flying in on a shank like he used to! Poor bastard, turned into a zombie tho. I think his fight would have been cooler if he actually kept gliding on a shank around the battlefield and kept throwing stasis grenades at you as if he was Green Goblin, heh.
Bro I can only imagine how erimis feels right now. It's one thing to lose a solider in battle. It's another to lose a friend. N the witness brining him back as a zombie is pretty fucked up. N all cuz she failed to gather the relics b4 us. This is the witness punishing erimis for her failure. It sucks too cuz all she ever wanted was a good life for her ppl.
Cannot wait for S22 so we can replay Seraph Shield
Probably the best track of this year! Especially amazing when you are in there fighting Prakis.
Doing this on legend solo on my first try was very fun.
This soundtrack coming in during the boss fight was just VIBEES
This music is so cool. My favorite tracks from beyond light as well as the warmind theme. So cool.
I love this. Security breach, acceptance and maybe even the warmind theme is pretty underappreciated so I'm really glad they used this stitchwork of themes together in one song. I'm glad it's combat was somewhat matching the intensity on solo legendary difficulty.
this is perfectly mixed.
Really loving these hybrid tracks , a bit of everything working at once, kinda like this seasons story
Osiris consults Ana about his visions and needing Rasputin , leading to Clovis getting involved, as well as Mara Sov and the Exo Stranger , whilst the Witness commands Xivu Arath and Eramis, with some potential nods for the inclusion of Crow , Zavala , Caiatl and Mithrax’s joining the fold too
Such a good mission, the sneaking, dsc mechanics, the war crime... the beautiful skybox all leads up to the reveal that Eramis' own friends are being turned to zombies to further the Witness' goal... and she obviously depises it, with the least enthusiast line possible
4:23 through the end is amazing stuff holy moly, I also love at 5:57 the Guardian theme makes a brief yet very heroic moment toward the end :D
Eramis people… returning as scorn. Damn.
this is such a nice image of them
God on mars+security breach+acceptance. Nice.
I really like the details of seeing Praksis actually scornified
_Rather that totally Exo Taniks in DSC_
@@Azrael_Equinox he wasn’t an exo
@@Johesh I was being sarcastic, although I forgot to put the underscores to slant it, so I'll take the fall for that one
One thing I noticed about this Praksis is that if you use Stasis on him, he can be slowed but will not freeze.
Because he's not a major
I love how the "Warmind Theme" turns into a heroic version of it at 4:34 👀
Now I need to hide the body of Taniks
I hope Eramis comes to a redemption arc at some point. All she has to do is say that she wants out of the Witness’s grasp to us, and I’m positive that Eido would welcome her to House of Light, but whether it be her pride or just pure despair, she still can’t find any hope for herself and her people.
Bro taniks is gonna become a scorn 🤣💀
bro got rezzed and died again
was kinda hoping for Scorned Taniks ngl
It seems that this time Praksis has nothing left to say... Good. At least he finally shut up. Though I would prefer (original Praksis and Eramis as well) that he would stay dead. I wonder if there is anything left of his identity...
praksis is dead, this is just a puppet of the witness, a shell of the eliksni that once was
Scorn are just husks. Not genuine resurrections of who they were before. That’s why Fikrul was so upset we’d killed his friends in Forsaken. He could bring their bodies back, but not them
I liked the Haunted mixes this season but the differences in mix quality between those and this feel really stark to me
Love it!
It's amazing song.
Dang 1:30, 5:45 is the best
i'm so sorry eramis...

Okay, so I havent been playing the misson with music, but after getting all the drones, I turned it up to get the doggo. and the music was soooo good! do you happen to have it?
Is it the Athanasia (Seraph) track?
@@destiny_music_archive
No, it isnt. It's mostly a very background kind of track that has some chimes or bells or something, like a clock ticking in the background. Got a bit of a stealthy rushing feel to it.
I think it only plays, or at least a version of another song, during the doggo platforming.
It definitely doesnt have athanasia since that's my favourite music
Ah it might be Disquiet from the Beyond Light OST then.
@@destiny_music_archive that isnt it either. Disclaimer, I think the music still plays when youre going to kill the hive where the doggo room is located
The music is mostly ambient-like, there isnt like a general melody that you would recognise, especially not from the flagship melodies of Destiny or Beyond light. I'm probably using the wrong terms here.
I managed to record a short gameplay with only the music on, not sure how do I go about sharing it :(
@@HibiscusOrchid The person you are having a discussion with does know music from this game more than you. and its a version of disquiet
Lmao this is a remix of a remix.
this fight felt so unbalanced, ads spawn one second after you kill them and if a single coldsnap grenade finds you, it's over
Wdym its kinda hard on legend with 3 people but on solo legend or normal mode its ez
Eramis turning her own house into scorn is kind of fucked up.
It wasn't her choice
Not her doing, 'tis the Witness. She is helpless to resist because if she does, the Witness will kill and raise her without hesitation.
the witness or xivu is doing it as punishment for her failure in season of plunder
