Muffler Delete For 6.2 L GMC Sierra

This is a short video showing a simple muffler delete on a 2018 6.2l Sierra Denali. There is also a Corsa exhaust tip that was added. So far, this is a great, inexpensive mod to get more sound and have NO drone. It cost $75 to do the work and $160 for the Corsa exhaust tip.

Have exact truck but black. Looking to do this but don't want to run into a warranty issue. Did you talk to GM about potential warranty issues?

Nickolas Anderson as far as warranty, I’m sure this voids the exhaust warranty, but it doesn’t impact many of the other things. Anytime you modify your vehicle, you just gotta roll the dice and be prepared to suffer any consequences that may come.

How loud is it in the cab?

Quiet. It’s really the best setup for cheap. Sounds good and loud on the outside and quiet while driving on the highway.

@@jonathanbutler7853 I do a lot of highway driving and calls, so didn’t want to have to scream just to talk or anything. Purchasing a Range AFM soon before the install. Not sure if you have AFM turned off or not, but if you don’t, do you have any issues with it changing to V4? Thank you kindly for the reply, you’re input is very helpful. Can’t wait for mine to sound like this one! Same paint too!

As long as you just cut the muffler, you will be fine. Not sure if you take anything else out. Run it with AFM and no issues.

Just an FYI, the truck has around 50k miles on it and just about all of those have been with this exhaust setup. Wouldn’t change a thing!

@@jonathanbutler7853 Good to know! Did you notice any low end torque disappear? These things are hella snappy off the line and was curious if this had an effect on that.
