Whats the miss conception
Your videos have made my tile game 10 times what it was a year ago.
Can these clips be used on 12 by 24” ceramic (wavy style) tiles?
The amount of thin set on everything … is beyond crazy… gotta be better
I cannot work with gloves, and i always keep a bucket of clean water next to me to wash my hands and thr tile if it gets dirty. Dirty hands mens dirty work, ive seen it myself many times. The camers might not pick up everything but i bet you 100% that his tile is dirty with thinset which he needs to clean the next day.
I really want to see someone set tile on a glass pane with a tile leveling system and see how the thinset behaves from underneath when activating the clips, and then breaking it apart and checking to see if coverage was jeopardized at all
The clips just sort of help out. They're not a miracle worker if your tile setting sucks.

@@KingSobieski yea, but I’ve heard they help out by pulling the low tile up, which could jeopardize the thinset coverage and cause a weak bond. I just want to see someone test that theory by setting the tiles on a pane of glass so you can see how the thinset behaves

I have every leveling system ever created. Rarely need any of them.
How do you remove the things? Or do the snap off when you’re done with them??

What are your thoughts on 5 Dotting the back instead of troughing the wall?
I’m 23 been doing tile 5 years and I’ve never once troughed a shower wall. I take my margin and put 5 dots in a x pattern on the back of the tile and smoosh it against the wall.. it’s the way I learned
that's called spot bonding and is highly frowned upon. you don't want to get in the habit of doing that.
Spot dotting will hold the tile to the wall but gives support only where it's been mortared. Theres to much hollow area behind the tile! This leaves room for cracking if you would lean to hard in a spot! And this should NEVER be done on a floor. Hope this helps! Any tile that is over 1ft is considered , custom, and they have deflection, so these leveling clamps should be used. Removes the bows out of the tile.
This should NEVER be done. I knew a guy who would do this. I’d you do, at some point expect the dreaded call back.
Stop doing tile if you do that. Lol.
