    To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

      "Dont let other define success for you..."
      How the hell do i do that, honestly? Status is tied to the opinions of other. Let me tell you something, status is key. I've been on the bottom and getting lower my whole life trying not to "let others define success for me"

    Articulating what you feel and what others feel is very hard to do. This man has the gifts of both. Emotions are tricky and he has the ability to identify and explain it in detail and thus frustration of not understanding yourself or the other person is replaced by composure.. And the foundation of it is standing for the truth.

  • @vallip4254
    @vallip4254 Рік тому +4

    Yes emotions, not often so my rage often takes me by surprise, esp when someone or thing is being hurt. .and my articulation is clear but peppered with swearing which does me no good, I loose due to my
    raging .
    Happens when I'm triggered, and many people don't listen, that's frustrating and provokes.
    As I say not often . And you are right I can be better. Thankyou

    *To all the dreamers out there, don't ever let the world's negativity disenchant you or your spirit. If you surround yourself with love and right people, ANYTHING is possible...*

      Unless you own the company... nobody can surround themselves with love and the right people when going to work.
      Sure you can switch companies, but usually that just changes the names of the problem people and in some cases it's a worse environment.

    We live in a ocean of existential troubles. Adaptation, managing oneself is the key. So true, anger is terribly stressful. Learning to detach, is staying your own guard of your mind, never let things mess with its composure for it is crucial and vital

    Good video. I thought this was about how to win debates and arguements regarding differences in opinion like politics or religion for example, but it turned out to be a video about other types of arguements that I have in my life that I was also searching a solution for.

    Sadly our lives are very more stressful then years back, people are more knowledgeable and educated and much more independent.These qualities can have a hangup too in our attitude and dealings with other people whether in the workforce or with friends and family to the extent that people have become over opinionated, or they're to busy getting their argument across many have narcassistic traits so that makes them bad listeners and rather selfish. Its all about ME... Lack of listening contributes to lack of communication and, therefore, the cause of many conflicts, stress and misjudgement. Having patience is a luxury it seems these days with many people and this is why many marriages/partnerships etc end up in divorce in homes or friction in the workplace. Everyone is in a hurry to have the last word. Anyway, great listening to you...invaluable info.

    I came out of character at work the other day. I’m the top sales person and I’m in the banking industry and I go above and beyond for each and every customer . I also help customers through account maintenance which sometimes includes family members fighting for deceased money and I had a customer treat me very poorly and I raised my voice and we argued back and forth. He said he was gone sue me yada Yada. I’m not scared of that I’m upset I lost temper. I usually leave that at home and when I go to work I’m jolly . I’ve gotten agitated in the past at my job but it has been at least a year since I gotten out of character. The job is stressful at times. But I’m just upset at myself

      @Pray4Mojo1 7 місяців тому +1

      If you're genuinely a jolly person at work then what happened doesn't matter. It does matter though if you have to put that mask on every day, just so you don't offend anyone or make them upset. What people don't realize is that you can't control your emotions. You can only control your actions on how you react to those emotions. Most things in life are out of our control, and letting go of that is freeing.

      Hmm. I get it. I get when the stakes are high that the mistakes are high. And maybe you dont have a good outlet for reflection or ideas regarding atonement. Or maybe some situations dont really allow for the level of authenticity that Mr. Jordan is suggesting here. I think Mr. Peterson has risen to a place in our culture which comes with a baked-in level of respect. And then theres the whole thing about gender too-the baked in clout of masculinity. Also, cancel culture has us all on eggshells. To me, your situation sounds like a lot of disproportionate pressure with you under that pressure. Maybe take a walk on the beach. I think what you might be looking for is "grace". Grace is the way through these situations. Mr. Peterson embodies grace much of the time. No one deserves what you got.

    Attempt 2 only see the very best character traits in others ~ luv that and their inner being which is connected to source ~=> knowing that most people are distorted versions ~+> because they are unconscious conditioned, affected by karma, cycling through karma etc ~+> and they take no constructive steps to improve themselves ~+> & they’re influenced by the manipulation/s of others (who have their own agenda) to affect one’s perception {of the targeted individual} so everybody then sees/perceives the targeted individual through a filtered lens that has nothing to do with TRUTH !

    Yes, that is what life is all about, right? Winning arguments and spreading your philosophy and belittling the beliefs of others. It’s not about helping other grow and to be their best selves. Your philosophy (which really is more philosophy than psychology) is very attractive to angry narcissists. Much more on a rational basis, with little said about empathy.

    & they get worse with other people
    &
    You have to think of the situation at hand & the consequence & you better think right now because your ass is on the line...
    Lane county sheriffs have me on the phone well I was on probation with failure to comply looking at life without possibility..
    A guy was kicking in my door & I had to explain what's going on then I said what my weapon was... I have to go & hung up... right as the door started to bust open
    I know I have no help coming
    &
    There response time was 2 hours latter..
    That's on a phone recording lane county sheriffs still have
