Select Diagnose mode: Automatic or Manual is for how you want it to scan the vehicle, not type of transmission. I thought the same thing the first few times I plugged mine in but its to automatically scan all systems or manually select a specific unit.

So did you not purchase the mb II version 2. When I look at the recommended dates of service the mbII list no newer than 2014. While the md II V2 says it does up to 2017 vehicles. Is this accurate. I have done the same thing and have to clear an SRS code on a 2017 sprinter. I just want to be sure to purchase the right one. Can you confirm you don’t have the v2? Thanks.
I purchased the MB II, which is different than the MB v2.0. I have 2018 Sprinter and the MB II works fine, including clearing SRS codes. It will work for you too
I have 2005 E320 CDI (W211). I found the SRS light on after the car sat for a few month and a low battery. I have replaced the main and axillary batteries. Using a MaxiLink ML619 scanner I get codes 9058, 9080, and 9083. The SRS light is on the dash, a message displayed for the workshop, and the passenger airbag disable light is showing by the shifter. My scanner will not erase the codes. The 7.5 fuse in the engine compartment looks good. What should be my next steps to repair this myself? Thank you for assisting.
9058 N2/7 (Restraint systems control unit): coding is faulty.

I'm not familiar with the MaxLink scanner. If you need to clear the codes you should try the iCarSoft MB unit I used (links in video description). It has the ability to clear the SRS codes. If it doesn't work for some reason you can always return it to Amazon within the return period.

A quick google search leads to the following info which may be helpful:
For the 9080/9083, sounds like the Weight Sensing System (i.e. to know if a passenger is sitting in the seat) may need to be recalibrated. Check out this link: www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/384051-srs-reset-2006-w211-e350.html
For the 9058 N2/7 I'd be more concerned. It seems that the N2/7 may indicate the control unit is bad. Perhaps that was triggered when it lost power, but I think it's important to know for sure. This may be a code you cannot clear unless you take it to a shop. That would be unfortunate if this gets triggered when the battery dies. Maybe using the other scanner will reveal more info.
It's important when dealing with safety system codes to know for sure what's going on. If you're at all unsure, bite the bullet and take it to a shop. They'll be able to fix it, and you should at least come away knowing the root cause, whether it could happen again (and if so how you can fix it), and with peace of mind about safety.

I got the airbag360.com emulator in the mail yesterday. Plugged in the 4-pin mod which was made with the OEM connector and a star on it. Instant fix and no need for resetting the computer. No more messages on the display and no SRS light.
The tricks for installing:
1. Place the seat all the way back and as high as it will go
2. Vacuum all of the kid junk out
3. Disconnect the plastic black bracket holding the yellow connector
a. There is a round boss going into the metal supporting bracket hole and using a mirror and flashlight this is easy to see. Use a flat screw driver to pull the boss down
b. Slide bracket over. This should be easy with little resistance. If not check the boss in the hole with mirror
c. The black plastic bracket then pops down
4. Pull black plastic bracket forward with wires to see easier
5. Pull out yellow wire harness with two finger holders on the sides
6. With a very small flat screw driver (Eye glasses screw driver) push out the two side connector clips inside the large yellow harness for the small harness to push out the back.
This will require a good flashlight to see and your face under the seat with limited working room.
7. Click in emulator
8. Reinstall everything
9. Hide black box on side floor so it will not get crushed when moving the seat.
Package took 12 days to receive in Oregon USA from Dublin Ireland. I did NOT install the extra seat belt emulator since no other errors are currently showing.

hey boss man will this help clear a DEF that states "x amount of ignition starts left" that pops up on my dashboard...i have a 2017 mercedez benz sprinter diesel?
Yes it should. Some people report it may take a few starts after filling before the message clears.
How come the engine light stayed on after the reet
That is normal when the key is in ignition but only in accessory mode. It is a internal check that the light is working

From what I’ve read on Amazon reviews, you need the v3.0 and then contact their customer support to get a link to download the chassis 907 software update (2019 and newer). Good luck!

Just bought the CR Pro version, it's does even have the option for my 2017 Sprinter, and just plain doesn't work.
The older MBii that I used will work for 2017.
@@DadsVan odd isnt it, that the new cheapo chinese crap doesnt do all that it claims. I bought the icar, it looked and felt super cheap, what a waste of time.

I have a problem for the mercedes sprinter van 2023. I took the chair out and put it back in and a light comes on for the chair. Did you know how i could fix this, thank you.
The dealer or auto service center can clear it. There may be a newer model of carsoft that can but you’ll have to call manufacturer and see if newer firmware can be installed. In the future, always disconnect battery first before removing seat to avoid this problem

Sorry to hear about your experience! This is the only one I’ve had to deal with thus far. If you disconnect the power by gas pedal before removing seat this code will not occur.

I haven't tried it on the 2019+ Sprinter, but from what I've read in online forums I do not think it will work. According to the forums Autel has a couple models that do work. Look at the latest post in this thread: sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/83649/post-1013386
