Antique Fair Haul
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 лип 2017
- I met up with a lovely friend of mine to go antiquing all day last Saturday! I thought I'd show you all what I found at the morning antiques fair since I snagged some super great hats. The rest of the day was super fun but everything was out of my price range, hopefully I'll be able to go out antiquing again soon!
Also yes, the sound was giving me trouble again, now I know never to film while the air conditioner is on! My apologies!

Thanks for watching!
That black velvet hat is stunning! It's the LBD of vintage hats. I'm wild about the straw hat one as well, and straw hats in general - that's (another) mutual love that we share. Awesome finds one and all, sweet gal.
Thank you Jessica! I have a similar velvet hat that I made ages ago, but I still couldn't resist picking up a vintage example of the style! Oops ;)
Hermes used to stamp 'b' on their bags way back. I am binge watching you at the moment and enjoying your hauls.
Thank you Jennifer!
Those hats! Oh my! So Beautiful
Great video! I am not sure what use it is to comment on an older video but I would immensely enjoy seeing the how exactly the hat elastic and pins work.
Thank you! I talk about how I wear hats/use hat pins in this more recent video here ua-cam.com/video/Rr_hmAn9KXY/v-deo.html
Love 30's clothes, movies, dancing, music..
That black velvet hat. Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.
Straw hat = Bette Davis 😊
Some days I wanna be more Audrey, others more Bette, and getting to choose on a whim is the most fun part!
@@TheClosetHistorian exactly! And Bette in Now Voyager. The best clothes, if you ever never watched it ☺️
Totally, there is a printed suit she wears in that film that slayed me when the scene started ;)
Love the hats. Especially the black velvet one!
You’re so lucky you can sketch and sew. A true Artiste! Love the dresser.
Thank you!
This popped up today first time seeing you like Egypt! And 1920s ohh I’d be excited about that! Really we should meet and makes plans to go.
New subscriber here. I heard about you from the channel SueMe. I love the hats you found. I wear hats every time I go out but mine all. I keep looking at vintage hats but I haven't seen any that spoke to me. Yours spoke to me. Tfs.
Good advice and good haul! I love the hats and think they were a steal!
Thank you!
the black hat is so cool!
Thank you it is one of my favorites now! Can't go wrong with black velvet in my book :)
Ok so when I watch older videos from people I feel like a stalker so don’t mind me creeping about lol. I want to start thrifting and things so I’m watching your haul videos so I know how to spot the good stuff. I am so thankful that you give tips and tricks thank you for that x
Thank you for creeping about! I try to give tips in hauls so I am glad you are finding them helpful!
TheClosetHistorian very helpful thank you I am hoping to improve my knowledge and then go thrifting etc next year
Miss Adventure I'm doing the same haha 😉
I'm new and binge stalking too lol 😅
oh boy, I’m here 2 years later just getting into vintage.
Love your straw hats ....great finds
Thank you!
New subscriber and obsessively binge-watching ☺️🙋💜
Thank you Kim!
I admit I think hats look nice on other people but they confuse me to wear personally. I am in the process of sanding down my mom’s old dresser-it has icky paint on it and I want to restrain it as a gift for her. Thank you for sharing
Egypt! Have you seen the vintage Nile tour that the Vintage Egyptologist, her husband, and a specialty tour company we're offering? I think that they're going to offer it again in May 2019.
The hats are amazing!! I have some serious hat envy!
That tour/old steamers on the Nile do look amazing! I'd love to visit someday!
I put my hats on i.(large) soft toys. ii. Perched on the edge of very large physics textbooks, iii. On top of an unused lamp ... u get the idea. Storage is everywhere 😂
Both hats are so lovely and elegant. Speaking of dressers, I love the dark one behind you. Is it antique?
Thank you Nancy! The dresser behind me here is actually a vanity table and was a sad stained ivory color with a faux finish when I bought it off craigslist years ago. I think its probably from the 1970's Victorian revival-ish era as it isn't super well built, but glossy black paint can do wonders!
Can you show us how to make belts?
It's random, but there was something vaguely familiar to me about your face and now I got it! Your features remind me a lot of Aubrey Plaza, lol. You both have quite similar eyes, nose-to-mouth ratio, face shape, etc.
Thank you!
