I love it when Casper just starts to beatbox lmao. Not just, because it’s pretty cool, he can just do that, but also because it genuinely helps me to understand and really hear the drums in the songs!
Catheryn Parr is 100% my favorite of the queens, at least in the musical. Her song sums up so much of what the musical itself is about. Unfortunetly, it turned out Thomas wasn't a great guy. She married him after Henry died, and eventually they took Elizabeth (Anne Boleyn's daughter and eventual solo Queen of England) in. Apparently Thomas tried to strengthen his own claim to the throne by doing...unwholesome things with Elizabeth involving marriage (keep in mind, Elizabeth was a child at the time). Luckily, Elizabeth was taken out of the house soon after. But Catheryn Parr was really cool. During her time as Queen, she ensured the line of succession, making sure that if something happend to Edward (Jane Seymour's son) Mary and Elizabeth could take over. Obviously, this ended up being really important, as Edward passed away due to illness and thanks to Parr, Mary (Catherine of Aragon's daughter) took over. She ended up being deposed and Elizabeth took over after her. So, we have Catheryn Parr to thank for there not being a succession war and her to thank for the Golden Age that Elizabeth brought in.
The downside of Catheryn Parr was that she held Elizabeth down as her husband sexually assaulted her, laughing because she thought it was all a big joke as he cut the *child's* dress to pieces with his sword.

Catherine Parr also caught them embracing which is what made her send Elizabeth away, although it's not clear if she sent her away because Catherine was mad at Elizabeth or was trying to protect her. Elizabeth was 14 at the time this all happened.

Honestly, “I don’t need your love” would be much more enjoyable as a song if Thomas Seymour weren’t a total dickwad. The back half is significantly better specifically for that reason. Even the showrunners imagined Parr’s best story without him lmao.

To put that in perspective: Boston, Massachusetts is 246 miles from New York City! 😅 Which is a regular commute for some people. (Not meaning to be anything other than informative here, because I was very curious as to how long 90km actually was to my silly ‘Murica Measurements) (Edit: wrote the measurement for Newark to Boston on accident. Dang autocorrect went to a flight I had years ago instead of New York. Measurement is fixed now)

Katherine Parr might love Thomas Seymour but he really sucked. They did get married after Henry died, but Thomas then tried to pursue Katherine’s stepdaughter, Elizabeth. He was just using Katherine to socially advance. She loved him but he was using her just in a different way than Henry.
One note, all the musicians are women as well. I don't know about the audio mixer though. Since this is played live, any of the extra fill effects and mic leveling will be done with the audio techs as part of the live show. Broadway is a wild dance.

I know this has nothing to do with the video right now! but all I was thinking about while watching this was how you've become famous for epic the musical and now every musical you touch all you can think about is it!! and the wet Hades thing but I actually wanted to talk about that!!! Back in the ancient before ancient Greece I don't remember what it was called something with A "M" Both Hades and Poseidon were technically the same person as in the God prayer held dominion over both the water horses and water-based storms along with the underworld but he was mostly known for water so people think Hades was just a version of Poseidon that became popular later on and then they split! Along with the god pan and Hermes originally it was just the trickster half man half goat God but then their became two along with a bunch of other gods actually!😅 (it's a gigantic can of worms)
In a way, the animatic artists who have given Poseidon (or Polyphemus) Cthulu-like imagery are really putting their finger on the way that Poseidon really _is_ Wet Hades. We humans tend to view the deep sea and its associated imagery as every bit as chthonic as anything having to do with the underground, if not more so!
I guess when your country is one of the largest in the world and you have to drive from one place to another all the time because it is not designed for pedestrians, yes, an hour of driving is not that much.
The sickest thing of all about this marriage was that Catherine Parr was Catherine of Aragon's goddaughter - i.e. Henry's goddaughter, too. He married a woman who he had known since she was a baby. Six has a live all female band called The Ladies in Waiting, each is named character that the Queens interact with. You may remember Catherine of Aragon asking Maria to give her a beat. Maria is our drummer. Obviously that’s her character name, not her actual name, but either way the pronouns will be she/her.
So I checked the language of the musical that's supposed to be in Pilsen and it says they translated it :( I definitely would have gone to the show if it was in English (even though it's on the other side of the country) But maybe I'll give it a try anyway, maybe it won't be that bad
