so effing good.
They ask me if Ian Stewart is on piano. No, it's Chuck Leavell (Allman Brothers) who plays the piano here. Fancy Man Blues was recorded in 1989. Ian Stewart had passed away four years before that.
The harmonica from 2.41 is hot and sweet and voluptuous and perfect. Thank you, Karl, for this post.
Charlie, we'll Miss You
Miss You . . . . Charlie was the man for the job , he didn't even want to do it to start with , he was brilliant :)
Wit yah
Damn if it isn't. My bad Karl. I know this now. 👅👅👅💨💨💨💨

It's thank you Brian Jones . The real true leader of the Rolling Stones !
@@SuperAnimelover100 That's right. But for me, he' s also one(in the beginning TheOne) of the Rolling Stones.
@@SuperAnimelover100 But Mick has kept it Rolling 💯 percent. 👅👅👅👅💨💨💨
God given talent to be able to play like that. Out of this world!
Charlie is the man and this is the music
Well said price less
2 underrated cats on this track.
The Harmonica player.
The piano player.
The harmonica player is MICK - awesome job here...!! As for the piano, there's Chuck Leavell and he too is shining in this blues
Old Charlie used to say " Mick can blow a mean harp" and well Nicky Hopkins weeeel geee.
Everything was fantastic in this song, especially the 🎸 🎹 & harmonica..never knew Stones has marvellous blues number as good as Little Red 🐓..!! Credit to Ian Stewart on his beautiful 🎹 fancy handy work
No Ian Stewart on this one.He died in 1985 and this song was recorded 1989.
@@henrikjohansson5904Chuch Lavelle ?
Thanks for that. One of my favourite Stones songs , that I still cannot play . Cheers !!!
Rest In Peace Charle 💔🥁✌️❤️😢
This song is one of their best bluesy numbers. Ian Stewart plays great and I wish I knew if it was on one of their albums.
Yes he was special in the early albums they recorded
It is on the album called "Rarities 1971-2003 "
This isn't Ian playing piano,it's Chuck Leavell, former Allman Brothers member and plays on most of the Stones tours and many of their recordings.
@@reidsmith8739 Agreed
in my top 10 stones songs
Miss you Ian Stewart ✌️❤️
ONE OF THE BEST BLUES BAND !!
Oops !!!! The best of the best. 👅👅👅💨💨💨💨
I agree but i also liked peter greens Fleetwood Mac.
I can see the glint in your eye
Did get a chance to listen to the 2016 Blue & Lonesome album by the boys. It was the best Blues recordings the may have ever done, certainly as a full album.
You are missing some fantastic music by the Stones.
There’s the earth and sky and there’s The Rolling Stones. Keith Richards

Come here baby

STONES FOREVER!
Incredible, I ❤ this
Cool pictures
Brian Mick Keef Bill Charlie that's the stones 😎✌️
AND Ian Stewart on many of their early cuts.
@@kennyjeanful Ian recorded on almost every album up to 1986 (Dirty Work). Ian died in Dec of 1985. He also was a tour manager for them. And played on stage on tours up to 1981/82. He never played Minor key chords...but did the Major Chords.
He was more closely involved than many people realize. While he was not counted as a member, he was a consistent and important contributor.
Sorry Karl yes Ian Stewart and cheers to you sir😎
Oh, and that piano!
Well the good old stones love ❤ them old stones
Rolling Stones giving us what we already got/ had , and do'in an excellent job of do'in it ! Never heard this track, Why was this overlooked ???????????????????????? Just when I thought I heard it all. Thanks to whoever posted.
It's an outtake from the 1989 Steel Wheels session. That's probably why you hadn't heard it before.
@@MrErtunc Steel Wheels came out in 1989. They were on tour in 1981 after Emotional Rescue. Been a fan since 1967 I oughta know get yer facts right Karl baby lol
@@johngore7744 Thanks for pointing out the typo. I will correct it.
I hear ya! I just found this song. Fricken badass!!!🤘🏼🍻🍻
Hopkins ? I'd bet Nicky Hopkins is on keyboards here !
He & B Jones are making this song sound so good
So good
When they first came to the US in 65 (4:16) there's was nobody at the airport to greet them ... except the janitor and the lady at the restroom ... lol ...

R.S. BEST ROCK'N'ROLL BAND IS HISTORY. GREAT BLUES!
GREETINGS FROM BULGARIA 🇧🇬
You might say that Brian Jones broke his own heart but Keith said that there are some people who you know just aren't going to make it. Mick called it "sad.,"
I’ve been here since then so why have I never heard this before and is this what Brian jones wanted to play?I mean the reason he isn’t here any more.I like it
I.lake Blues Rolling Stones..👍🇮🇩
Hevey stuff
🥰🥰🥰😍😍
Akkoriban nagyon menő volt.
Living on blues power the stones getting their Ya Ya's out stones1111111111#
Proper stones
j'aime BR
I have always thought the Stones were an ersatz Blues band; even from the early Sixties when I first started going to the clubs and church halls and pub back rooms to listen to real bands. I don't think I ever paid to see the Stones.
It's OK we will start a go fund me or what ever it takes for all to enjoy the wgrarb...
say no more
Piano from Ian Stewart STANDOUT!!
That’s not Ian Stewart. Ian died in 1984
@@kevincarey3792 For my information then who was it, Kevin?
@@robinwilson6405 This was recorded in 1989 and it's Chuck Leavell on piano, who has played on many of their recordings and tours.Chuck a former member of the Allman Brothers.
guys who's playing guitar solo from 1:36... sounds like a bit of bb king, clapton , budddy guy or even jimmy vaughan to me :D ????????????? smashing sweet pure begginings !
Don't you get it? HE's the "fancy man"
Приятно уху.
who plays the guitar solo here?...fantastic!!
Keith and Ronnie share the guitar duties, Mick, the harmonica. The keyboard player's Chuck Leavell. Charlie plays the drums while Bill plays the bass.
@@MrErtunc Wow....The Solo is fantastic, I thought it was Eric C.
@@692MOM @692MOM Nope, this was part of the Steel Wheels sessions. Clapton did a Live Recording performance on the one of the final 1989 Steel Wheels concerts. He did Little Red Rooster - Live on stage with the Boys.
When the Stones want to they can write and record authentic Blues.
Here is the Clapton performance with the Stones on Little Red Rooster.
ua-cam.com/video/gl208H1qH3s/v-deo.html
To me it sounds very much like a (very good) Keith solo
@@MrErtunc MAYBE CLAPTON ?
@ 0:42 a young Jay Leno on piano 😩🤣
this ain't old....why the old picture
The pictures represent the band rather than one particular song.
Any body know what year this was recorded?
In 1989 during the Steel Wheels sessions. It was not included on the album. You can find more information here: rollingstonesdata.com/songs/fancy-man-blues/
Which album is this on ??
This is an out-take from the Steel Wheels sessions, which was recorded in 1989. It's on the Rarities 1971-2003 compilation album, released by Virgin Records internationally and by Starbucks in North America in 2005.
@@MrErtunc Many thanks
USED to be a great rhythm & blues band. Pop music now. I miss Brian Jones.
Nothing more blues than this song. Idiot
Pop music? WTF
Listen to this 2016 Stones album Blue & Lonesome.
ua-cam.com/video/Tm_FMzWVplU/v-deo.html . This isn't Pop music. This is real raw Blues. Cmon man!
I forgot Ron wood 😎✌️
And Ian Stewart
I didn't know mean that in a good way I just don't like him him and Rod Stewart 😎✌️
@@hollisbrown645 That's too bad, Ronnie is a Rolling Stone, in fact Ian Stewart wanted him to get the guitar gig over Mick Taylor at the time. Rod Stewart was a fantastic performer and lead singer with the Faces. They performed really fantastic Rock n Roll.
Also, Ronnie is almost universally regarded as fun, self effacing modest guy, and a terrific artist to boot. But, to each is own. Cheers
@@hollisbrown645 I think and feel about the same.Ronnie belongs to the Faces and Rod Steward.Same hair, same style. He is a nice funny guy but he could never replace real musicians like Mick Taylor and Brian Jones.
Does any one know if Ron Wood ever met Brian? I always felt Wood killed the Stones.
I would agree with you on that but I really like some girls and tattoos you
@@trash6219 Mick Taylor was an Eric Clapton caliber lead player, he elevated the Stone music , there greatest work was when he was with them, my humble opinion.
Yes for sure
Fuckin triple AAA
Stones "died" when Brian did...
Not true ✌️
@@misterkite5887 for me...He WAS the Stones :)
