    Nothing to see here folks. Move along. Only thing i see here unsafe is the guy operating a camera and speeding up to 85MPH to get in front of a 80,000 pound truck and then slowing down. WTF were you thinking?

    Gotta say....the fact that the truck even got to 85 mph was a miracle!!! LOL! My Dad drove trucks for 30 years and alot of his trucks barely got over 65. WOWZA! lol! I'm not the only one thinking that right? lol.

    All I saw was two drivers speeding. It would have been really simple to subtract one. And, he couldn't have tailgated you had you not passed him, speeding faster than he was and holding a camera as well.

    there is several points of interests to point out one at the end how do we know the car is honking at him or you? and at the first time you said that he is going 85 if you look at the other traffic he is barly going faster than the other cars? and when you show your speed you are obviosly speeding up because the distance between you and him i hate to say it but in your vid to me you seem to be the aggressor

    I missed it, where are your police lights and sirens? Oh you're not a cop? Then why are you endangering multiple lives in a high speed pursuit?
    Is the trucker in the wrong? Yeah more than likely,
    Did your antagonizing help the situation? Fuck no. If you would have just let him go along his way he wouldn't have been doing 80+mph

    • @brandoncaldwell95

      There's other ways then just the police. A video like that posted will cause investigation. He could loose his job, even worse his license. Besides, what a cop going to do? Slap on the wrist with a couple tickets being around a total of $500....whoo what a lesson there.... Just to give proof video like this is more harmful, I fall owed a teams state parol doing 30 above, cutting people off, slamming on his brakes and turning his lights on just because he can. I fallowed him for 60miles, he even tried to provoke. Failing to provoke me, he just to sped up to speed match beside a car and stay there till the road became a single lane and try to out run me. I had small pieces of video, turned it in to Texas state troopers, the last I heard he was under investigation on unpaid leave for a month.

    Funny how everyone here is against the camera dude. Clearly, you dont see any of the bad shit happening, but like in most videos, it's what you dont see that counts. Granted, the cameraman should not have been riding with him at 80+ mph, but at the same time, neither should that dude carrying ALL those tree logs, thats WAY more unsafe than this dude filming. "Antagonizing" some of you say....well, that word is for children, because an adult wouldnt let some dude filming them cause more chaos on the road. Overall, from the evidence shown/told, the truck driver IMO is at fault here. How else can you prove that someone is doing wrong unless you physically have them on camera, and thats what this guy did. Harmless and effective.

  • @pepcjim1

    Here's another fact. Professional drivers are to be held to higher standards than the average drivers on the road and that means obeying ALL traffic laws. That's why the penalties for breaking traffic laws are more strict than the unprofessional. Sure time is money but that's no excuse for being unprofessional and unsafe. If that were me recording this video I would have submitted a copy of it to the trucking company and their insurance agency.

    Everyone who thinks tractor/trailer drivers have road rage is completely wrong. Its everyone else on the road. Tractor/trailers takes more time to pick-up speed and to stop. They need a lot room to make turns. People who record us truckers and say that us truckers has road rage are truely the ones with road rage.

  • @rhondaperez6101
    @rhondaperez6101 11 років тому

    There are way too many people that love to harass us truck drivers for no reason. The only one I saw with road rage was the damn jeep. My truck is governed at 65mph, so I cannot go faster than that, and when I am in areas that it is 75mph, and I am trying to go around another truck, it takes a few minutes, and then I have cars flashing their brights, riding MY bumper, honking their horns, and acting foolish because they had to slow down for a minute, heaven forbid

  • @Deiino1
    @Deiino1 11 років тому

    Same thing happened to me and my mom. My mom always approaches semi's with caution, and she was passing, but the driver pulled right into my mom's lane and almost ran us off the road, so my mom stayed behind. He tried to do this to several different people, one of which the car was centimeters away from crashing into the semi. So, I made a better choice by calling the cops, and not recording it, the cops! People are so stupid, if a 16 year old girl knows better, so should you.

    in my state, driving while using any hand held device, phone, cameras, computers, hand held games will get you arrested .... so the driver of the truck speeds up to 85mph so you feel that you have the right to break the law as well and speed at 80-85mph...I am amazed at how people all of a sudden have the RIGHT for the purpose of so called social justice all of a sudden have the right to break the law.....

    I don't condone the excessive following, but I do appreciate the detail recorded, honesty, etc. The logging driver was driving thoroughly to close... what if you had to stop, period... He'd push you through whatever it was you were stopping for. His load needs AT LEAST 3-6 car lengths to stop minimum. He was 1-2 max.
    I've seen very few truck drivers do this, I usually make room for them if they need to lane change soon, (I know my roads, I know the bottlenecks, and I know the semi's needs).

    Another law in Maryland going effective is merge over for road side emergencies. Granted I'm a truck driver I get mad and ya he going a bit heavy on the right foot but he was not tailgating. He just was not slowing down. Go back and look at your video he merged to the left Lane for a safety buffer for the car which was recorded on your video that was on the right shoulder. If he passes someone even at 55 mph and blows a right front steer tire he will most likely go into the right Lane and a car SITTING beside him usually Suffers minor damage. If your on the side of the road not moving it typically ends up in death. Please go back and look at the video and you will see the car on the shoulder of the road. I can't judge but if he supposedly cut you off in the bottle neck where the right Lane runs out that means he had to get over. Rules of the road. Labbe ends merge next rule when you and 15 others want to hog in and not let us truck drivers over when we are running out of road are we supposed to stop and wave you on because we might be slower. No not gonna happen. He took the truck more than likely to that speed to show you DO NOT CUT ME OFF YOU WILL REGRET IT. My truck runs 105 mph. I've had 1 guy cut me off and he kept doing it because I flashed my bright lights at him doing 55 in a 70 in the left Lane not passing the car in the right Lane..I can only say he probably won't do that again because I was not very nice. People grow up and act your age behind the wheel. Grabbing a cell phone up show him you are recording him just makes him more mad. Always a best suggestion get you a dash camera. A small investment and if you rear end someone like many truck drivers do BECAUSE WE GOT CUT OFF then you will have proof you were not tail gating. Another law from where I live in Georgia is when you pass someone and flip them the bird it is considered road rage. Be courteous and drive smart

  • @osos231
    @osos231 13 років тому

    Everyone here is attacking the camera man. True he may have been stupid as well. But you can't compare a truck with a load of logs to a car. If that truck loses control he can potentially kill hundreds of people on the road. The truck driver should've been more responsible and smarter than that. He deserves to have his license suspended. Should be mor responsible when carrying a load.

    Driving a truck is harder than many people appreciate. the sheer willpower and professionalism required to resist the sometimes overwhelming temptation to knock some arse off the road who really deserves it is rarely taken into account. If another road user clearly has issues aren't you better off keeping well away?

  • @JoelsVideoJunk

Perhaps the poster can explain why it's ok for him to break the law and endanger people's lives?

    Also to add..... I am an accident re-constructionist!!!!!!!!! I have seen lots of fatality accidents. More than I care to discuss. In the last 5 years the number of accidents related to people using electronic devices while driving has climbed through the roof. In YOUR video I see that you are paying far more attention to what the truck driver was doing and making sure you were getting the proper footage. All you had to do was slow down yourself and worry about YOU! (continue next comment)

  • @RMLeLoup
    @RMLeLoup 11 років тому

    additionally.. If I do see a semi tailgating me... Extremely close... I let go of the accelerator a bit, not alot, just enough to lose 5kph, every few mins, not excessive slow down, easy to adapt to for the semi, just to "say hey, wtf...". I am usually just gracing above the speed limit in my lane, and I still do this until they do slow down enough, then I regain speed to the limit/gracing it. If they repeat tailgate, I repeat this slow careful maneuver. Especially if no room in alternate lanes.

    CDLs are public records under US Law, so it's perfectly legal. If you don't want someone to be able to view your information, don't get a License which is classified as a Public Record. Same as divorce, bankruptcies, house sales and tax liens are public records, and anyone who wishes to, may publish that information, whether you want your info made available or not.
    As far as the company, if they don't want their information made public, don't advertise on the truck.

And if one of these guys ever wrecks in the future, you may potentially save your own life because you REMOVED YOURSELF FROM THE SITUATION instead of staying right there with them, patronizing them and giving them hell.

  • @hcso9285

    As a cop I see numerous violations by both parties. cameraman you posted photographic evidence that you yourself were speeding. while speeding and showing your speed I noticed that you were catching the truck and passing it which means you were going faster than the truck. That alone raises questions as to the actual speed of the truck. how fast were you going when the truck passed YOU? YOU sir were more unsafe than the truck in my opinion by using a cell while driving and speeding!

Okay so maybe the truck driver didn't act right we don't know. We have only the word of the poster. Why not just let him go? Why put everyone else's lives at risk. You have a cell phone. Do you understand that he is a professional and knows the road very well. That he is in control as much as you can be on the road. And when it comes down to it truckers are safer and more able to deal with what the road has to offer. You are the novice, uneducated driver who just doesn't understand what he is doing. Its very simple.

    the speed limit on that road is 65 and truckers are allowed to go that speed no 85 is too fast but just wanted to point that out

    Now tell the truth,you in the jeep and the lincoln didn't merge correctly while coming out of the pickle park.and when you said he was tailgating you,if you were paying attention he pulled into passing lane because of vehicle in the brakedown lane thats for the safety of everyone,its not all about you,princess with the rainbow sticker on your jeep !!!!!

  • @ciddydizzle
    @ciddydizzle 12 років тому

    his illegal action of tailgating came from the illegal action of "crusing" in the fast lane. its illegal to cruise in the passing/fast lane, not to mention filming while driving. just saying

    I think you both are being completely irresponsible. For one, why chase down a truck? If he was doing something illegal, notify the state highway patrol. You chasing him could have caused a wreck just as easily.

    Sadly the truck driver changed his number you should put an update of his new phone number up, if you can figure that out.

    The only thing that is "extreme" about this video is you filming while driving. I guess people like you think you're a super-hero when you have a camera in your hands and feel the need to record things on the road. Typical 4-wheeler. Leave the trucker alone!!!! He's working and probably has a deadline to meet.

  • @TheNineveh
    @TheNineveh 12 років тому

    You speeding and passing him is also illegal, not to mention a cell phone. That shows how little you care about others around you and a grave insecurity. Let jerks like that drive like morons adding fuel to the fire makes for a worse situation.

    I watched this vid twice and realized that the address is not the trucking companies address like I assumed! I googled it and its a residential farmland! I think this is the truck drivers real address and I believe that posting his information online on a popular public hub like youtube is illegal! And, based on the comments in the vid its also possibly slander! I think the vid should be removed for this!

    Why are you going 85? Why did you feel the need to be in front of him, then worry about what he's doing behind you all the time? You're safer to stay well enough away and fuck the logs.

    you complain that he is driving over 85mph in a 55mph zone,,,well SO ARE YOU, and you are driving with one hand on the wheel !!!, I think you have provoked the situation, truckers are constantly getting "cut-off" by other drivers, put yourself in his shoes for a second, truckers can not come to a quick stop if something was to go wrong, like someone trying to cut in front of them. Read most of the comments here, it is you that is behaving, and driving badly. You're lucky he didn't hit you.

    @18wheelsrollin77 agree, when im in the left lane doing 73 - 75 (not holding anyone back), it takes less than 5 minutes to get a mofo who tailgates me for the sole purpose of getting me to move over.

    Whats the point of this video? I mean, I've driven and have been passed by fully loaded trucks at over 90mph thru Kentucky. The drivers are fully aware of what they're doing. Also, I highly doubt he accelerated because he "saw u recording" when he wasnt anywhere near you to see u record him. Leave the man alone and let him drive.

    your the one who is going to cause an accident trying to pick a fight if you want to fight join the army so leave the truckers alone let them make a living

  • @Cre47

    There's only a small portion of the video where the speed is 55 mph, most is 65 mph. And in some places if you were caught by the police at 30 mph over the speed limit (like at the end), it is considered stunt driving and the vehicle is impounded completed with a $10 000 fine.

  • @ShieldMaiden452
    @ShieldMaiden452 13 років тому

    Why didn't you just call the police and give them a description, record him and stay away? If your going 85 in a 55, aren't you also causing to the dangerous conditions of the road and also instigating more problems? Wouldn't the smart the be to let him pass you and keep a distance of a big truck vs maybe getting killed yourself? Seriously if people want to document road rage, being part of the problem doesn't usually work out in your favor.

    as for the guy in the Lincoln, I believe he was honking at you. the truck is 2 lanes over from him and you passed by him holding a phone up video taping. at no point did i see his truck almost tip over nor run over a dog. only thing I seen him doing wrong was speeding. as for the the tailgatting...he wasnt even close to you and i noticed a pickup on right should with flashers on and he moved over behind you ( constantly in left lane) to give proper room. get a life and go back to drivers ed

    Why is it that when you were going 85 you didnt keep going 85 to get away from him? NO what you did was spped up to catch him then get in front of him and slow back down. What you did was wrong very wrong. Im a truck driver and I tell you we dont go looking for trouble. There is missing video i.e. what happened before to piss him off and then you not leaving him alone. Your a bully and should have your license pulled.
