I love that the actor is obviously the one doing the fight, but it's acted so well that he looks like he is a passenger and unaware of what he's doing until it's been done. So good!
And that 1:13 robotic act he nailed it!!!
You dummy this was highly post-processed 🙄
I just realised that his hand moved his head out of the way, because his head is not controlled by AI
@@nishorjatheesan6646 woah! Nice catch!
Yeah, new venom looks great
Me: "I can't beat this boss! He's too hard!"
Older Brother: "Give me the controller."
up up down down left right left right B A start
Because the older brother isn't actually good at the game either.
Best one✊🏾
That's actually a pretty accurate summary of the movie tbh.
Pretty much.
Older Brother: Proceeds to do the genocide run.
Younger brother: Pulling on controller. "NO! stahp! Stop killing everyone!"
Older brother: Who's the adult here?
Imagine getting in a fight with someone and suddenly they start talking to themselves like this.
It’s also interesting from an acting perspective: he’s got to act the fight with his body while acting (from neck up) as though it’s all a surprise to him, like two different people.
I would run like hell if he stated talking to himself like that lol
woodchuckcider1 yea I’m so gonna die
Honestly that sounds like an edgy OC
Y’all are ignoring the whole Michael Jackson/demon possession move to get up lol that would freak me out more than the talking
The guy's acting as he smashes the glass over the guy's head is hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣
Yep. Very good acting on his part. I don't know how he makes it look so genuine.
"oh GOD!"
@@violatorut2003 They put him in a kind of straight jacket with arm-stiffeners to make his posture odd. It's really quite cool how they made this scene. They used a really cool camera gimbal as well, so it moved with the character when he was being controlled by the AI.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Logan Marshall-Green’s expressions while hitting him with the plates slayed me, dude is such a good actor.
lol its the exact reaction youd have if you were watching someone else just smashing plates over a dude's head 🤣
I loved that scene XD

Did you notice how when the main character was in control the camera was shaking and irrational, but when robo killer 3000 takes control the camera is smooth stable. I like that level of caring towards a movie.
This film has a lot of issues and tricks with camera. Great movie
You're right. I just rewatched to see that. Very cool.
I mean, you probably gotta be looking elsewhere to not notice that.
Elsewhere like not at the video.
The editing in this film is utterly amazing.
Centered around the stem
Notice how STEM has to use his hands to move Grey's head during the fight because STEM only has control over everything from the neck down. Such brilliant attention to detail.
Wtf u talking Bout
He got shot in the neck area which paralyzed him from the neck down and stem was design to help his neck injury and un-paralyze him and at this point in the movie he only has control of the neck down
eh, only stem was connected to his brain stem and cerebral cortex, he had control over his entire body which is why he could see out of the eyes of the human host. So it makes no sense to have control over the brain but not mobility of the skull.
how do u see dis wow
Also, when STEM gives back control to Grey after killing the guy, Grey's entire body from the neck down relaxes. Amazing details!
This guy looks looks more Tom Hardy than what Tom Hardy looks
Yup Tom Hardy and Aston Kutcher mix. Hahahah
Not really but this is a great comment. I know what you mean even if i dont agree.
Tom hardy looks like him
Yea thats why we call him "Not Tom Hardy Guy".
That’s funny cuz Venom and Upgrade are actually quite similar in a way
You didn't just kill him, he's a goddamn PEZ dispenser.

2:15 I like how his shoulders tell us fight mode is off.
That’s a really cool detail. Thanks for pointing that out!
This is ACTING. It's what Christopher Reeve did in the first Superman. He took off the glasses and straightened himself and suddenly he looked like this invincible superhero from another planet. Without any extensive makeup or CGI - just barely moving his body.
He hasn't even moved from his spot, and you could already tell when his body language switches between perfect/robotic and natural/emotional. TREMENDOUS physical acting!
This is possibly the most horrifically beautiful choreographed fight scene ever. It never loses its impact; no matter how many times I watch it, there's always some new minute detail to admire in the physical acting and that finishing move, even when knowing its coming, is such a jarring blow... the way it brings everything to such a sudden, visceral halt where your brain knows what it just saw, but you're still reacting to it, even after it's all over and the audience is left in that little pocket of silence. Hot. Damn. Wow.
The acting is actually amazing he honestly looks he has no control over his physical actions
Fun fact, he based his movement when Stem's in control off of Zenyatta from Overwatch, as that's his main.
I didn't care for this actor in Prometheus but now I realize it was because the writing was so bad in that film. This guy is super talented.
Lets put a smile on that face.

@@RikkiTikkiTavi290 A little fight in u. I like that.
This scene perfectly shows how a cyborg fight should look like, Also Logan Marshall Green shows incredible acting, by pulling off one performance with his face and another performance with his body
probably CGI'd two clips together. one of him acting his body, and another of his face independently, then stitched them together to make it seem like one shot.
@@theepowerful cgi is pretty easy, i wouldnt doubt it.
Psii Kix what would be the use in that
@@angryanakin in a cgi fight where an actor is portraying different facial expressions than his body is?
Well, for one, it would be easier on the actor.
Have a stunt double do the action scenes, then CGI the actors face making the facial expressions over the stunt doubles face. Bam, now you have this scene.
Its just easier than to sit there and do hundreds of retakes hoping the actor can both manage to "fight" (which is a task on its own) as well as have a complete different facial feature that also requires its own task.
@@Psiikix I doubt that.
this is how executions should look for every terminator movie
Exactly, not like throwing people away... rofl... I mean what's the point of AI if not this is - perfectly calculated movements without any unnecessary action. When Grey said "stop" Stem just took the knife and killed the guy in a moment.
I had this same idea when I saw the movie that whenever Stem took over control I could see the perfect movement patterns - this is how AI would think, keep the host body healthy and well maintained as long as possible... pure AI. :)
Have you seen the T-1000?😑
1:09-1:23 is still to this day some of the coolest cinematography I have seen in an action film

Brilliant filming technique. Whenever STEM is in control, the camera orients itself to him, as if to demonstrate, metaphorically, that STEM isn't just controlling Gray, it's in control of much more.
I think it's to give the feelings that he is along for the ride.imagine what it would be like to have your body move on its own it'll be kind of like sitting on a roller coaster your body being jerked around but you have any real no control over where it goes.
Yeah the way they used the camera work to tell the story when an action scene is happening is so impressive. The same in that apartment when he starts backflipping and the camera does the full 360 degree roll with him while it’s happening. I heard they did that by strapping an iPhone to the actor and stunt persons chest, and the gyroscope in the phone gave the same orientation for the camera to make it roll and turn when these action scenes were happening. Such an original idea and a great way to visually tell the story showing that Gray is just along for the ride while STEM moves his body for him in these fights.
Archie thanks but it’s not my original observation. I watched the Corridor Crew reaction video and they mentioned it, but it’s such a great idea and so original. It’s so clever and makes for great storytelling just through a visual medium, which you don’t find in a lot of movies.

Ah, I see what you did there.
When you have endgame gear in the beginning of the game as your character just finished getting whooped in the cutscene and the player takes over.
How often do you get to enjoy a fight scene more the second and third time you see it than the first? The subtleties like the camera shooting style, the acting, the epic methodical choreography. I could believe those moves were created by a machine striving for efficiency. Normally fight scenes are "shut your brain off and watch". Truly a gem.
