    Just did a motor swap on my 2012 ms3. Now it's time to top off all new fluids and fresh gas and hopefully go for my first start :)

      How was the coolant temps?

    You need to use the original style clamps. Those allow for the plastic to expand and contract without cracking over time. The clamps you used are meant for metal pipes.

    U should detail the engine bay ✨

      Haha I expected a comment about the engine bay. 😂 I should have mentioned it on this video which I did on my Instagram post saying that the engine bay is filthy which I neglected on purpose for a future detailing video idea. So stay tuned for that! 🙌🏽

    Is this coolant okay for the a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 ? I did research and it seemed okay. Just had a coolant flush and put this stuff in. Now my coolant runs about 5 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than before. It should be noted I did a couple other things as well such as vvt replacement and used a different oil. EGR cleaning and intake valve cleaning as well

      Yes this coolant works for your 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. The car in this video is my 2009 Mazdaspeed 3. I never had issues with the temperature. The coolant for the Mazdaspeed 3 is the dark green coolant like the factory FL22. Common alternatives are this PEAK Asian Green coolant or Valvoline Green Zerex. What mixture did you fill your cooling system with? 50/50? Also did you do the air bleeding process?

      @@jggarage1807 I filled it directly with the one from the link. The already diluted 50/50. I also used royal purple 5w30 which I heard good things about. Idk if that makes a difference. I noticed the coolant would fluctuate depending on if my car was hot or cold but I read up and saw this was supposed to be normal because of it traveling to the radiator. Also, I noticed that my coolant fluid is slightly above the "F" Line on the coolant reservoir. I tried looking for the letter "L" indicating where the minimum line is but couldn't see it. Maybe there's too much fluid? Although I do believe put the required amount being about 2 full bottles of the coolant. However I did not do the bleeding process myself as it was done by someone else as well with the VVT job(thought I might as well get the coolant flushed while he's as it). So perhaps that could be the case. Would it be okay to bleed it again just in case even though it might've already been bled before? Is there any other reasons why my car is suddenly running hotter after the work was done? I appreciate your time.

    Where do the lines run to? I can’t find a video anywhere and we’re rebuilding the motor…

    I have a question for the coolant hose on your reservor coolant ?

    You installed the incorrect clamps…..the original style clamps are designed to expand and contract with the heat of the engine. The style you used will not.

      The clamps you are talkinh about literally 3 days ago made my line that connecte to the oil cooler fell off and drained all my coolant. And they were brand new

    How much coolant should you put in

    • @jggarage1807
      @jggarage1807  2 роки тому

      The coolant capacity is 7.9 quarts or about 2 gallons and when you drain the coolant, you only drain about half which is around a gallon. So you'd need to put 1 gallon of coolant back in.
      In my case in the video, since I flushed with distilled water and had distilled water in the system, I added about a gallon of full coolant concentrate at the end.

      @@jggarage1807 do I fill the coolant above or below the f mark

    • @jggarage1807
      @jggarage1807  2 роки тому +1

      @@copynpaste_9979 when you fill after a drain, you'll need to add more than the F line because when you start the car and bleed the air out, it will suck more of the coolant. Once you finish bleeding, you can fill to the F line since the system is now full.

      That's much better than what I paid for. lol I did see it cheaper on both Amazon and Ebay but I didn't have the time to wait for it to be shipped. I had no choice but to get it locally and do the fix right away.
