Thanks for all the info man. Just picked up one of these cars and I’ve had my head buried in forms, pages and UA-cam videos the last three weeks learning all I can learn. Your channel is definitely helped. Thanks!
Thank you, straight to the answer. Ive been dealing with the code popping up everytime after my egr delete. I wonder if you could place a jumper wire in the old egr plug and trick the ecu that it is there? Or would still sense it somewhere else?
Quick question, First Wow think you for straight talk. Im in Canada and my truck is 2002 Esc EXT. question. If I do EGR delete on gas, do you think it;ll run ok? Like idle horse power? I just had a ordeal new plugs sensor's fuel pump coils. at the end of it the 19 year old EGR pipe broke, fn spent near 400 on new one but my mechanic forgot the darn gasket. ( can you believe its 4 days with for a gasket to arrive. I need to work so was wondering if my guy just fn blocked it how the truck would work. I know it will be in like Tuesday or Wednesday But I got work tonight ! lol just wondering was all.
I looked into the tuning and turning off the light. What you are doing is turning off that monitor. In New York State just like California the smog Inspection computer looks for the EGR and other monitors. If the inspection computer doesn’t find them or the data doesn’t meet the specs your car won’t pass and won’t be legal.
It depends on the car some do some don't. I have personally blanked around 20 cars and some are OK others need a small hole to allow a little gas to cerculate. You can not sit there and say YES blanking the egr puts on the eml conclusively because yours did.
Sweet videos man. I've learned quite a bit. I just recently bought a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 in liquid silver with only 18k miles on it. Stock motor too, nothing done to it at all. Interior is in immaculate condition..even the plastics under the hood still have that new plastic glossy look to them. Still had the stock Dunlop tires when I got it too! Hopefully she lasts me a while. It's too pristine which makes me not even want to drive it hard lol. Gonna get a rear motor mount on it though, the stock one really does suck.
Huh, my 2006 Hawkeye went undetected for years from an EGR delete. Put block plate and place the stock EGR valve back over so it looks stock lol. But you right, it absolutely is not legal in CA.
Thank you.. I got the same code too... Insufficient flow.... I am going to look up somewhere here where I live if anybody can tune the car out and delete the codes... Someone told me they don't come up but it came up right away..
? Can I just block off tube that leads to intake manifold and just leave original EGR valve alone, can gases still return to engine and will I still need to clear a code.....
Not anymore Cobb took out that function so people can still buy the Cobb AP in California, so no the EGR stuff they can’t take out anymore so It will stay on now
U can do egr delete without engine light.u keep egr valve in.just remove pipe.fit black off on intake.and fit blank plate on second section where u removed pipe.and boom no engine check light.and egr still work to keep engine light off🙂
It doesn't work for all the car, some car will still have check light on if the MAP sensor detected a super low vacuum condition inside the manifold without EGR opening and provide some so called air leak condition
EGR delete is a waste of time and money. There is no performance gain whatsoever. EGR only takes place at idle and at steady cruising speed when the throttle plate is at or near totally closed. EGR does not take place during acceleration.
Try it and you will see... It does pick up faster, runs a bit smoother too... :D - Also, it will help reduce Carbon deposit like +Henry Martinez said :D.
NOTE: You can NOT do this on a Auto Fuel Injected Vehicle... You will have Starting issues... I just found that out the Hard Way :((((.... But if you have the normal Carburetor Type Car / Trucks, it will work. I think this is why so many People are arguing about Deleting / Not Deleting!
Tried it, ran it on the dyno no difference. Most everything is fuel injected and if you live in New York State you won’t pass a smog test. Keep in mind disabling or removing an emissions part is against federal law. I agree with reducing the carbon issue especially with the ecoboost and direct injection engines.
+Bob Is The Builder - I agree 100% it makes no difference on Gas Savings, long pick up running time, or gaining horse power, etc..., like some People stated here on UA-cam .... I was referring to " Fast Pick Up / Response " when you step on the pedal, for a few seconds you can feel it since it's better burn from my point of view..., but that is about it... Just a few seconds... ://///////. NOTE: It will be fun for some People though for a few seconds, LOL.
Thanks for being straightforward. I hate when people delay the question they have in the title.
I appreciate that you answer the question immediately.
My pleasure! I appreciate you watching my video. Have a great night!
Wow straight to the point. You truly are a good person

Omg thank u this answers all my questions I have Ben looking for for 3 years now. Even shops couldn’t tell me. Your awesome!!

Haha! Answered my question with a video, good stuff, thanks Cameron!

Stupid short and sweet...answered my question. Plug in and deselect that code for OBDII...couldn't be easier. Thank you!
Remember to always register your vehicle in a state or region with no emissions testing. No smog checks here in Michigan, so that's good.
Good information. Thanks. I think I will put my EGR back in and resign myself to cleaning the carbon out of the intake every year or so.

Daniel Gonzalez what did it cost you

Does adding a blanking plate throws CEL ?
Not anymore Cobb took out that function so people can still buy the Cobb AP in California, so no the EGR stuff they can’t take out anymore so It will stay on now
EGR Off for SCT is $300, thats alot for a CEL. I will see hiw much this is.
On Our Honda 1990 CRX, once I delete the EGR it will throw the Engine Check Light On " Right Away " !!!
Can they be cleared with an e-tune?
Could just trick the ecu with a resister
What resister value do we need?
@@johnhamilton6205 Depends on the engine.
@@electric7487 the lower horsepower 6.0 I think it’s lq9?
That's full of crap you can't just take it and it will delete you have to actually install the different unit to show EGR is still running
Can u drive it with out a tune like to the shop to get it tuned?
EPA going after shops that tune. Need to do it yourself these days.
Your AP looks sick black. Did you plasti dip it?
im rafel question when im driving 65 or les my car have check engine light but gos more faster how cant i explain that
Hey man I wouldn't mess with tmic in arizona its wayy too hot down here I would just get a fmic summer here is killer.
blackstarbucks agreed
Imagine blowing head gaskets from blocking egr. That would suck
Hey nice vid!....I could buy a 2013 speed with tech pkg and 80000 kms for 14500$...is it a good deal? And how long do you think the turbo will last?
did you ever buy it?
For Gen1 owners out there the code will be just one, PCM P0403 .
What does it help or do if i unplug it
If you can read the schematics for your car, you may be able to find the interlocks for your EGR and shut it off yourself. Like meeeeee!
Please spend the money on a tune , I see so many goes go ZZB it's worth doing it now then just paying the 75 for the retune when your fully bolted
When you buy a get delete kit does it come with the software to fix the codes ?
No. You need an access port and a custom tune. Not to mention some tuners won't do it for you if they're very strict.
What code reader is that buddy?
It’s a Cobb access port
U can do egr delete without engine light.u keep egr valve in.just remove pipe.fit black off on intake.and fit blank plate on second section where u removed pipe.and boom no engine check light.and egr still work to keep engine light off🙂
Does this work on a Chevy Tahoe
It doesn't work for all the car, some car will still have check light on if the MAP sensor detected a super low vacuum condition inside the manifold without EGR opening and provide some so called air leak condition
Could someone to turn this code off without getting a tune or having an aftermarket ECU or access port?
No
I have an accessport running a Cobb off the shelf stage 3 tune. Am I able to get rid of the codes if I install a EGR delete kit?
Would anyone know if a DPF delete would cause it to come on to? I don’t really want to spend money on a tune rn
Hunter Schultz yup need a tune, but the dependability ,fuel mileage and power is more than worth it
egr causes smog. Also your info is incorrect, egr delete doesnt mean to unplug it. you have to block it not unplugit.
Do you have a pro tune on your mazdaspeed?
Just put a small hole on the egr plate less carbon cause it has small hole
how bad is the Exhaust fume smell after the EGR delete?
There's ways around it in Az I live in Tucson 😈 truck registered in Tucson I get away with it egr and dpf delete
I live in Tucson too bro how do you do it man I'm struggling right now because of this issue
you're the best.
This helped thx g !!
Did u just snitch on your self and others🤔
Go Yuma lmao, the only thing Yuma is good for….
Its not legal any were in the USA.......
Well not street legal, and some states don’t do inspections of any kind.
