- Coyote swap! You read it RIGHT! Not another LS swap :-)
Our buddy Tommy is so excited for his truck build and we are too! She's getting a Crown Vic front suspension which includes disc brakes which will complement the 8.8 rear end we're swapping in too! This is the first of a series of episodes on this build. Comment below and tell us your thoughts!

I love this woman...she likes Roadkill and she likes working on cars....and knows more than a lot of guys i know. Wish my wife liked to work with me on cars, but I am training my kids early...3 year old Samantha is already handing dad wrenches. And THANKS for keeping a Ford in a Ford!
Awesome Video! Thanks for all you do! 👍
I have a 55 F-100 that I have had forever. Hopefully watching this build will inspire me. 390 w/a Tri-Power setup and a C-6.
At sixteen, I purchased my grandfather’s ’56 F-100 work truck. Setting out to convert it into a daily driver was a challenge. Grandpa did some flat work after he retired and had used the bed of his truck as a cement mixer. I hammered out all the dents and about 100 lbs of concrete, painted it read, and detailed the rest of the exterior notchkees. The interior received bucket seats out of my brother’s old “67 GTO, carpeting, and black paint. I kept the old 283 and three on the tree. How I would like to have that old beauty again.
Emily has the cutest smile on UA-cam
Some women I know: I can't work on a car.
Me: Shows em a FSG video with Emily gettin it done.
Attitude changes, suddenly the learnin starts and the hands get dirty!
Keep up the good work folks!
Great show, guys ! I like the energy (that I no longer have). Always good content & the companionship in your shop. Just good folks, doing what they like. Enjoy your friends and family while you have them. Time with loved 1s is priceless. Peace & happiness to all.
Awesome....the Crown Vic is Ford's sleeper gift to budget hotrodding.
Buy an ex cop vic and have fun....a huge amount of the can be worked into your build ....old or new.
Front and rear suspensions...even the full frame. Ive seen guys transpant the entire dash into older Fords
So many dimensions in critical areas are close to what you need. The modular engine can be used as is or built to go.
Facts!
Pretty much yeah 👍🏻
After watching this video, our oldest daughter was motivated to do some work on our new used 1993 Subaru Sambar. She adjusted the shift linkage and carburetor, installed a radio and speakers and checked and filled all the fluids. Thank you for the informational, motivational and inspiring videos. Hopefully our two sons and younger daughter get into wrenching.
Daniel Fisch That’s TOO COOL!!! The sense of accomplishment is SO AWESOME when you wrench on something!
Flying Sparks Garage I agree 150%
It's fun to see people working on cruddy old vehicles in an oily old garage with whatever tools ya got. that's real hot rodding!
Mr OFFENHAUSER said a show car has a can of polish in the back and a ch**y in front.A hot rod has a toolbox in the back and a Ford up front. He said it to Vic Edelbrock.
I've always liked the 50s fords. I like the good ol' flathead myself!
Tommy’s truck is gonna be so badass. 💪🏻 Great editing too - love the quick pace of the action shots. Got more squeezed in to a shorter video. I like that. 👍🏻
This is always a struggle for me
Always glad to see Emily's smiling face on a new project. Really nice to see more fab work with Aaron's motor mounts. Keep these videos coming!
My Dad has a 56 also. I rebuilt the 6 cylinder in it when he bought it in '84. Cool, fun trucks. Good luck on this project. It looks awesome already. Be safe!
I had luck using a hole saw on drilling the holes for the CV IFS! Ed is full of knowledge and has done several of those swaps!
Hey, great to see y'all! ! Been missing you guys. Looks like a fun project. Looking forward to seeing more.
More awesomeness from you folks!! Keep it coming! Nice seeing that old truck being rebuilt. Hope we get to see it all finished. 💪
Way cool can't wait to see the next vid. Glad no one pinched a finger or hurt a knuckle dealing with rusted bolts not one curse word great 👍I get frustrated when trying to turn a rusted or stripped bolt.
Nice! I love old Ford's! Reminds me of an old truck my dad used to have. Also love that it's gonna be a Ford motor goin in for the swap. What a great ride this is gonna be! Can't wait to see the rest of the project!
Man, it would have made my life SO much easier if I had a lift to help test fit the crown vic front clip I put on my '67 F100! lol. Good stuff! This is my territory and it feels nice to see it brought to life on camera for others to see :)
Drilling lubricant might help when drilling thick metal. And usually. Slow and steady wins the race. 👌
👆This! 👆
Hi guys, man im glad to see a other ford build. That truck will be awsome. revved up yooper
rediscovered this channel just now!! Keen to get into old rusty metal. Attempted to rebuild my TD05 turbo finding out the rebuild kit doesnt fit a china copy of a TD05, RIP. 4g63t budget life wish me luck
Great episode. That is a really fun project and the editing is looking really tight.
Wow! Good to see a new vid,! I've missed you guys! Drive on! And drive HARD! =)
I still love those glasses.
It's getting fun seeing more and more Coyote swaps!
Another awesome day at the FSG with lots of high 5s and cupcakes...😎😀😁
Por fin un Ford ....!!!! Vamos!!!!
That's going to be a sweet truck, keep these videos coming. Emily in the shop daum, makes my day
Yes! Fresh vlog. Love this couple. Get it.
Hey guys cool project i myself built a 54 ford but i used everything off a 99 small dodge truck .had to shorten the frame and channel the body but the floor firewall and all is under it something real cool i leaned in doing this is the old ford truck had the vacuum wipers and after everything i had changed it looked like i was going to still be stuck with them until i got to looking at the old vacuum motor and the dodge intermittent motor and realized they bolted on exactly the same so i trail fit it and sure it bolted on where the vacuum motor under the dash the only thing i had to change was the the way the arms connected and then all i did was unbolt from the vacuum and i had to weld it to the dodge motor i've since have converted about a dozen different peoples trucks to this just thought i would share this to you all cheap hack for good wipers on a old ford peace
Coyote swaps are so underrated
That is an understatement
LS guys wear lady's UNDERwear.
Bah.Needs a 7L sohc.
@@duccanard9079 how about a 557 John Kassee Boss 9 Ford? 800 streetable horsepower/ 785 ft.-lbs.
Love the episode! Yall look like you are having fun!
Awesome truck!
Great video Emily thanks for sharing have a great day and stay safe out there
Looks like the perfect project to be dipped for rust removal before any other work is done
Love your videos guys. Looking forward to the next one. Take care!!
Such a pretty young lady out in the shop doing her thing. Good luck and God Bless😇
SPIFFY! Keep 'em coming! Have missed ya'll on YTube.

Tommy... Look at me... #HailState.
Heck yeah dude!!! Catch up sometime. #represent
Great video, I got a 72ford f100 and I’m slowly restoring it , I love tht truck 😀👍
don't know how I missed this. It must have been a glitch in the matrix or maybe I was working on my space laser. Belated thank you for your time.
Lol my dad is so juvenile! When you said take the boards off to access the REAR end’ he said oh okay now we’re getting somewhere. 😂😂❤️ he’s such a dog lol
But I love him.
Chloe Hennessy Oh geez 😝😝😝 So many things I say in the shop that I have to edit out because they just sound so wrong! Someone will always here something though!! Thanks for watchin’ y’all!
Really badass...I'm just tearing the frame down on the one I'm building...keep up the great work....oh yeah...wish I had a lift...I had to pull the body off the old fashioned way
I loved Garfield... And.... NOT ANOTHER LS SWAP. Thank f%%$#$#$$##$$k for that by the way!
Teamwork! And very cool on making family time priority.
I'm late to the party but watching on my lunch break!
Erick Barrandey Not very late, bud!!! Appreciate it ♥️👊🏼
I have a 56 f100 with an old school 396 m22 in it love it
Another good episode. Nice to see something different in the shop.
Editing jumped around the place a bit for my liking.
But then I know you guys weren't filming everything like you normally would.
#HailState Tommy
Looks like a fun build
Modern V8 power needs modern brakes and steering to not be scary. Hope we will be seeing more of this ! Great days to all !
Tip for the next 8.8 swap, the spring mounts on an Explorer rear diff are already on the bottom. No need for cutting and rewelding! Easy Peasy!
Thanks!it actually is an Explorer rear. Although they are on the bottom, they are just a bit wide to fit properly. But aside from that, we needed to adjust pinion angle
I have an old 62 ford truck i would love to drop a 5.0 coyote in.
How about a recipe for the Snickerdoodle cupcakes
Jerry Lopshire
Yes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
Tell Mom “Thank You!”❤️
Hail State!!!!
Aaron, great job on the mount fabrication.
I have 61 F10 that I will also be doing a CV style front clip ($200), mine came out of a Lincoln, outcast Kustoms makes a few things to make this swap pretty easy and straightforward. My truck will be extremely basic and a budget build but should be fun. drive-train out of a 88 mustang, explorer rear with 3;73 ($200), no limit four link, Ill upgrade the rotors and pads. ridetech coilovers, ill auto cross it and enjoy it. Really like the video.
Matthew Skaggs Sounds like it’ll be a SWEET build!!!
Awesome ! Dudette and Dudes 😎
Omg! Please tell me that Tommy is going to leave that patina?? Great to have y'all back again!!
Michael Cousins He does plan on leaving it! 😇👊🏼 THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Tommy is Cool! #HAILSTATE

Thank you for NOT putting a Chevy engine into a Ford. Praise the Lord!!!!!!! Keeping the Ford all Ford makes me very happy.
Amen,Brother!
Always though that was just SOO wrong on SOOO many levels!🤦♀️
Ya’ll flat out rocking it!👍🏻
I agree 100%, I am so tired of hacks (that is what they are to me) saying lets put a LS in. The LS is a good engine but damn it, it belongs in Chevy's, not Fords, Pontiac's, Buick's, and etc. If came with a Chevy engine like later Pontiac's then ok.
I agree. The LS thing is done to death.
Yes, i hate seeing any ford, with some other kind of engine. Fords need ford engines. Besides those coyotes rock!!
Hey!
Good to see you guys!
Hey Emily, there's this artist, David Uhl, does paintings of pretty womens and vintage machines (planes, trains, cars, trucks, and bikes), and he's going to be at one of those fly-ins, that you guys go to, (coming-up pretty quick) and I thought you guys ought to look him up, maybe do a project together.
you should get a knockout slug kit for larger holes hydraulic of rachet is fine probably
My God I'm in love
Thank God I was Jones for a Flying Sparks fix !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donald K. MacBaird Yay!!! Thanks for the patience!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nice.. back in the car repair videos.
Nice!!
Great video. Just watched a couple of your other videos and you have a new subscriber.
Finally, we've been waiting. Now get to it, you two...
Hello you hope all fine, entertaining Garage job as usual 👍😎
"Not another LS swap." Thank God.
Them"Put A ls in it" Me,' It's a D9 dozer,ya dick"
Cool build!! What happened with the straight axle suspension??
Emily and the guys have a bunch of work to do on that bed, looks like almost all the framing was rotted out, hope you all put it back close to original with the wood and all.
Nice work!
Nice work looks awesome 😀👌🏻🇨🇦
Subscribed.. 👍👍
Is the truck going to be a sleeper, restomod or just a daily driver
The Greasy Strangler YES! Haha! All of the above!
Did you say what vehicle your 5.0 and trans came out of?
Very stylish Truck it will be cool.
Where’d y’all get the coyote? Was it from Ford or from a wrecked Donor?
Brock Venture From a donor!
I would like to know more about Ed Richy and his kit for this swap. Any help would be appreciated.
I know it's pain to get the videos out but please alittle more often, other than that I like this build!
Larry Shaw I’ve been working so much I’m behind on editing!! We’ve got so much coming up! Thanks for the support and patience! 😊🙏🏼
Good video thanks for sharing
Any updates? I hope you show when done
Lookin good to me, not sure about the truck))
It's a FERDDD !!!
Dang atta girl
I was going to say hello stranger ! But it turns out I wasn’t getting notified of your viddies doh bloody U.K. internet
Badass!
The original crown Vic mounts won’t work on that motor?
Not easily in this case. The performance mounts seemed to work well for clearances so it made sense to use them and fab mounts to get the height and angle correct for this placement. I do think the crown Vic mounts could be made to work.
Sup! Haven't seen you guys in a while.
Emily...that belt you are wearing is so cool! Where did you buy it?
James Dodd In the checkout line at Summit!!! Lol! I have an orange belt buckle one that cane from H&M YEARS ago (like 12!) and a black Chevy buckle that came from Summit!
@@flyingsparksgarage I will be sure to check them out. Thanks!
Nice front end mod..
One paint can will last you forever, just don’t leave the lid off.
Please give a list of all parts you use in this swap.Keep up the good work!
Mark Searcy Ah, good request, we’ll add to the description!
Thank you for your quick response.
Really like the video... wish there was a chick to hang around with back in the day when I was working on cars and things...
Back then a girl wouldn't think about getting there hands a little dirty.. Keep the Sparks Flying.....
i should bring my 65 mustang done there and build with you guys
