@@Patriot-pq1ku I have heard about that. But with all my Glocks I put fiber optic sights on them as soon as I get them. I did not shoot my 43X with the stock sights. I shot it a week ago (50 rds ) and it was pleasantly right on the money. If the rear can be adjusted ( can't if there is a screw, I cant remember ) Then you can give it a couple of taps, or have a smith adjust it. Do not give up on the gun, it's a great EDC. Or, contact Glock if you can get a buddy to verify that it is shooting left. Good luck.
Do a LOT of research. This is more of a carry pistol. I’m assuming you aren’t going to be carrying right away because not to many people own no guns and go straight to carrying. Just do a lot of research.
I've been a NRA Pistol Instructor for years and never liked Glocks. Never recommended them, first choice for a 9mm concealed carry for me was a S&W Shield....until I shot the 43x. I own one now and partner it with my Performance Center Shield in my carry rotation. I understand completely how your choice of a handgun is completely subjective and the gun must "feel right" in a person's hand, but I honestly think that you can't go wrong with a Shield or a 43x. Both are great guns, good shooters, and extremely reliable. I lean a bit more towards the 43x now only because you get 10 + 1 rather than 8 +1. Shoot safe!
Toshashoots I totally get that. I have many guns and my 2 favorites now are the G43X and the P365XL. The P365 was too short. The G43 was too. The G48 made me want to look for a milled slide for a reflex sight... but the G43X felt great in my hands. So did the P365XL. So I bought both. I still love my G19 and my 1911s but my daily carry is one of these two now. I also like my M&P 2.0 but it’s like the G19, a tad large, but I still carry it every now and then too.
I bought the Glock 43X yesterday. It was a toss up over the Sig 365. But with so many people complaining about the firing pins, and capacity, it turned out to be a no-brainer. The one thing I like the most is the full grip. If I bought the 365 I would need the extended clip to feel comfortable. Why go there when I can get this with a larger capacity and a full grip.

Phillip C. - yup, same here. My G19 is so old it actually has US as part of the serial number from when they first stared importing them into the states. And, she ain’t going anywhere. Just got her a new friend G19x, because I’m a big guy and I have big hands.
I don’t know why almost everybody has forgotten the good old Glock 26. To me the g26 will always be the best concealed Glock which is also compatible with all the other bigger Glock magazines. To me there is no contest
Loved shooting the Glock 43x. Love the reliability and ease of ownership. Honestly just felt the Sig P365 offered more with capacity a size depending on the mags. I didn’t feel comfortable shooting standard Glock triggers and sights. Sig just gets me that 10+1 out of the box. Will definitely look at a 17 or 19x for a range gun!
I have a 19 and a 43 too and love them.. however, the 48 is my next purchase.. I have shot it and the 48 is such a wonderfully controllable all the way to 25 yards AND the 43 slide will mount on that 48 frame to give you that option too.. I am a Glock shooter all the way, never had a gun feel this good at first rangetime..
I also have a 19 and a 43. Love the 19 and thought I loved the 43....until I held the 43x. It’s exactly what I want. It’s placed right between the two. Skinny and concealable like the 43, yet the grip fits my hand better like the 19. Can’t wait to put rounds through it.
I have a G43X and I love it. I really like the texture of the slide. My only issue with it, it slightly harder to conceal due to the length of the grip. Its a great firearm!
i just picked one up today and i gotta say it definitely replaced my g19 for carrying during summer season however when i’m rocking a hoodie in the winter i’ll continue to carry my 19. i don’t believe any other gun can phase out the 19.
I just bought a Glock 43X. I own several firearms and lots of Glocks. I bought the 43X, with my wife and daughter in mind. They could train with it and carry it but due to the firearms thinner profile, it would be easier for them to shoot, and have better ergonomics. Everyone ended up really loving the gun. Even I did too. Now I need to buy 2 more so my wife and daughter can have one, as well as myself. All of my Glocks have been bought new and are blue labels that have come with either Glock factory night sights or the Ameriglo factory night sights. The department that I work for uses Glock 22’s, with factory night sights so that is what I have always bought. But a few months back I had my local shop order me a Gen 5 Glock 45 MOS, and a Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS. The shop owner misunderstood the sights that I wanted and ordered the Glock with the Ameriglo’s. I actually like them better but, still like the Glock factory night sights too. With the 43X, the only dislike with it that I have is that it only came with 2 magazines and not 3, like almost every other Glock that there is. I ended up having to buy a third factory mag and don’t know why Glock chose to do what they did but, I absolutely love the 43X, for its ability to conceal really well. With the shorter barrel, I will run +P ammo. On all of my other handguns, I have them loaded with Hornady Critical Duty rounds. But, I only like to run standard pressure on barrels that are 4” in length or more. Since this one is under that, I’m going to run the +P Hornady Critical Duty rounds to compensate for the slight losses in round speeds and pressures.
RyanMiller3039 I don’t trust the sig because of its reliability issues I have heard about. I recently traded in my shield for the 43x and it’s much better.
Crusiferous I have both and the G2C's slide is noticably thicker and heavier and about the same length but has a barrel in that slide that is over a 1/4 of an inch shorter.
Pay for the "namebrand" my experience with taurus pt111 G2...still own it n carry it...12 plus 1....no malfunctions ever....2,000 rounds plus.... $200 brand new....4yrs ago.Idaho gun shows rule!
I'm right there with u on that Matt. Got my 43x a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It is so light and the perfect size, it's easy to forget you are carrying it. Shoots great, wears great, and hey...its one of the most reliable brands in the world. At $450 it was an excellent investment for me. No doubt, if I ever find myself in a really bad situation, it will solve the problem.
I just got the 43X. I like it. It shoots great. Feels great. Carries great. But it's the only Glock I've ever shot that gave me slide bite. Next time I shoot it, I'll see if I can adjust my grip in such a way as to prevent that from happening, yet still feel like a natural grip.
Thanks for the video! I shot my 43 alongside the 43x. I did like the grip of the 43x and did shoot it a bit better than my 43. I do like the flexibility of the 43. With an extended mag I can get almost to the capacity of the 43x but can go down to a small mag if needed. I shot the 48 better than the other two... Cheers!
I rented the 43x at the range, it shot very nice. Needs a decent trigger and sights to make it great. Sig P365 got all that already and conceals much better. Both sell for $499 @ Academy Sports.
Paul Surratt p365 is a great gun until the firing pin starts dragging on your primers and develops all kinds of problems after 500-1000 rounds . Glocks always be more reliable and in an emergency i won’t use anything other than a glock...
just bought mine today, on sale for $449! my wife's edc is the 43 but it felt a bit too small for me so I went ahead with the 43X. I have not fired it yet but I am looking forward to it.
The major update was the capacity... That was the only major update. And the 365 was the only challenger on that front. So I'm pretty sure it was in response to that. Too bad they still couldn't mach the capacity per size of the 365 though. I wish there were more competition for that gun.
Well, if Glock were trying to compete with the 365 I think they would've made the handle smaller. Also, I didn't care for the 365 and Sig had problems with them early on. If I had to pick between the 2 I'd go Glock or even the Shield.
@@garyjustgary5059 I have the shield 1.0 and 2.0 and the P365. After breaking the P365 in its a great shooter. The Glock 43 is far to snappy and heavier recoil than the Sig and the M&P. Theres no way you can honestly say the Glock 43 shoots easier. If you are saying that , then 1 of 2 things . You haven’t shot the P365 or M&P Shield or your straight FOS .
Your info is true! I have one, " top dog"! In concealed carry. I also have a 43 and a sig 365. This 43x gives me a full purchase grip. I have large hands and this gun fits like a glove!
Picked one up just yesterday, no range time yet but it will be replacing my 709slim as an EDC. So comfortable IWB with a crossbreed. Grip is excellent! Can’t wait to see how she shoots.
been thinking about a 43x or 48 for my first cc. I have a g19 gen5 that I bought as my first pistol, but really had home defense in mind. I know people successfully carry that weapon, but the g48 is basically the same profile as the 19, just slimmer. I'm leaning towards that.

I just saw one at my local ffl for $494.99. Now I don't necessarily think that's a bad price but I did just put 500 rds through my Taurus G2C with no malfunctions and that gun was half the price of the G43X and has 12 rnd mags. I know it's Taurus so it's crap...well so far not in my experience. So despite the cost I do like the 43X and it fits well in my hand. I would like to own one because Glock, why else. It can't always be about price and I'm not opposed to spending a few more dollars for maybe a bit better quality.
Thank you- I’ve been leaning towards a P365 over a G43; mostly because P365 carries 10, but G43 would likely last my lifetime (cf. Glock 17 running 350,000+ round count). So now I need to try yet another gun (oh twist my arm!) at the range for a test drive... so 10 rounds that lasts a lifetime G43X may make for a game changer. Ultimately I want the most bang that even my wife won’t notice.
The Glock 43 is the perfect CCW and Every day carry. Inove it.Ive been carrying a S&W M&P Shield for 3 years until now.I have no complaints about my Shield.Ibjustcwanted to change.The G43x cost twice as much a my Shield 9mm. I like the Glock 48 to shoot at the range. I can still shoot my Ruger SR1911 more accurately.Good video
The biggest thing I don't like is the magazine is propriety, you can’t interchange with other Glock 9mm mags. I think a 43 with mag extension would do the say job and have mag interchangeability. Thanks for you video.

The Glock 19 will still have a niche with women who want a full size home defense or range gun that may find the 17 too big. I agree with all of your points on the 43x about filling a void where Glock’s lineup obviously had some gaps in it. The 19 is Glock’s #1 selling pistol and for good reason. It will still have its place in the lineup for my reasoning above and others who don’t want a full-size gun but like the capacity of the 19. It still covers a lot of middle ground.
There is no doubt in my mind that this was Glock’s answer to the Sig 365. I believe that if the Sig had not been so uncomfortable in the hand and the first batch ended up being a mechanical train wreck, sig would have destroyed The Glock 43 market. That being said, the sig is rediculously uncomfortable and is a stovepipe/Ejector snap/general pistol malfunction waiting to happen. So I won’t own one. I bought the 43x and really couldn’t be happier.
I have the all black glock 43x and I put rubber texture talon grips on mine I know it’s really awesome especially with shield arms s15 mags and shield arms 20round mags
Yeah when I had a P365 I had to mod a hogue grip and slap it on the frame. I personally couldn’t get my support hand palm on the frame due to the slim frame.
awesome vid man and I think the 43x will have it's place and as a Glock guy I can't wait to get my hands on one but I don't think I would trade it over my G 19. I love how my 19 shoots and all and I still get more mag capacity. Now I may change my mind when I actually shoot a 43x but still.
Good video, as for the 43x Longer grip=printing, hence why I’ll stick to my 43, capacity doesn’t mean much if you train, if in fact it’s that much of a priority you can always get mag extenders .....
I carry many different firearms, I just picked up a g27 and to me that works well as it accepts different barrels such as 9mm and sig 357 as well as other glock mags so there are possibilities lol
I thins gun competes more against the G26. Both 10 rounders but this will be more comfortable, well it is more comfortable to me. And I don’t have to rely on a mag extension for my pinky. I still have my G19, but not my G26 anymore.
So my issue with the g43 was the first thing I done was add a mag extension +3 but only kept 7 in mag the 43x better fill in grip best thing glock had done have owned a 365 it now lives in back of safe x got it beat
LOL, the G19 isn't going anywhere, that's for sure. I just shot the G43X and the Sig P365 a couple days ago, liked both of them very much, but the G43X felt much better in my hand. The Sig's grip was too small for me. Granted the Sig sights, trigger, capacity and size are fantastic, unmatched, crazy insane how they did it, but the G43X will be easier to get out of your holster and easier to shoot in a stressful situation. Unless you are a police officer, where 10+1 rounds might not be enough (especially if you need deep cover than go with the P365), 11 rounds should be more than enough fire power for anyone in a self defense situation, unless of course you live in a war zone, which in that case you should probably move. The G43X will be an excellent EDC for CCW. I plan on getting one this week and will trade off between that and my G19. Be safe.
It’s a perfectly working self defense weapon, and you’re worried about the slide color? What are you doing? Pulling your gun out to take insta pictures like a basic white girl?
You really want to add a game changer take the G43X and throw in the S15- 15rd mags from shieldarms and carry the S15 mag with 5rd extension for 15+1 in the gun and a 20rd backup mag now you're talking.
If you add magguts (a $33 mag accessory) to a shield 8 round magazine to bump it up to 10rds, you have very comparable set up on a shield... which can be acquired for under $150-200 less than this new Glock. I would be interested to see how truly concealable this new offering would be for those carry strong side with a tuckable holster set up. It's really difficult to label any concealed option the best these days because there are tons of reliable options at great price points that can accommodate various body types. It all boils down to what trade off you are willing to make...
Make sure and get tritium combat sights, and yes even with big hands very manageable. This model is much like a Sig PPK or some such Euro Police gun. Uh, well its a Glock. Positivity here, life saving....

The 43X will never phase out the 19. I would not want to lose 5 rounds for a shorter slide and thinner grip. The length of the grip is what makes it concealable or not.
chandler hull - I would also not want to lose the ability to use 17,19,24,or 33 round magazines as a spare. That is something that the G26, and the G19 have the advantage over the 43,43x, & 48.
Get a 48.. your 43 slide fits on that frame perfectly and you have two different slide and barrel lengths on one receiver .. and you still have the option of your deep cover 43 receiver, dont sell it unless its a money issue.. I have 7000 rounds through my 43 as we train in a league for CCW ( now for 3 years) and it never fails me.. that 43 is so reliable and familiar that I will not get rid of it, but I do want the option of the 10 round magazine and slightly larger grip size for both slides..
Better sights? Like the ones that are almost immediately replaced on nearly every gun bought? Also, both GLOCK and S&W offer their guns with factory night sights. I never understood the complaint about plastic sights since I replace or buy my guns with night sights already installed. If it's a carry gun, it should have night sights.
So Contraversal opinion: Springfield had this size segment covered over 10 years ago, but it was based off a 1911, with the EMP3'. It's a compact 3' barrel with the gun skimmed down for 9mm specifically, had a full three finger grip, and used the wide of a 45 mag to get a psuedo stack of 9 rounds in the gun. I saw the 43x and was super excited until I realized I basically had this gun already with a different look and feel. This isn't a revolutionary idea. Glock jusy finally figured out that this size of gun is actually great for concealed carry.
i don't get the hype on this one, concealment problems usually are grip length related, so if your cool with the longer grip get a glock 19 and have the advantage of a longer barrel.
And then the Shield Plus came out and demolished it lol. Shoots flatter, better trigger, if you run the 13 round extended mag it’s the same length but you get 3 more rounds in the gun itself, and accepts OEM 15 round mags too so 16 rounds without an aftermarket malfunction inducing mag. I think the Shield Plus is a million times better. Just as thin but higher OEM capacity and better to shoot. To me the Glock 43x is kinda pointless for most people.. if you’re gonna have the same exact length grip as the Glock 19, you might as well just carry the Glock 19 lol. You get double stack 15+1 capacity, it’s barely thicker and accepts the larger Glock mags too. The thickness isn’t what causes printing really when it comes to concealed carry, it’s the length of the grip, so being that it’s the same length as the 19, I don’t see a real reason to carry the G43x and sacrifice better velocity, easier control, and higher capacity. The Glock 43x is mainly good for those of really small stature or even the ladies out there that want a smaller gun on them with their tighter clothing attire.
For all you sig P365 lovers it doesn’t even compare to a Glock 43X because the sig doesn’t work So stop saying Glock is trying to come up with an answer to compete with the sig p365. sig is still playing catch-up with the sig p365 and the Sig 320 is playing catch-up with the Glock 19 Sig needs to fix their striker fire guns And get them to function properly and safely. Hahaha, Imagine that, the gun w/ a longer, wider handle feels better, and is more controllable. Most people handled the forty-three BEFORE they bought it. I'll be replacing my Sig p three-sixty-five with the forty-three X. Soon.
Good review. Just one thing. Glock didn't make the X to compete with the Sig pthree-sixty-five. Although it probably will. Anybody that knows anything about Glock knows that they go there own way. Forty-three X is a MUCH better pistol than the Sig anyway.
Can I just say this.. It feels like Glock is trying to answer the Sig p365, but isn't really doing anything new. 10 rounds but in a much bigger package. Don't get me wrong..I thought the late to the market 6 round 43 was a complete joke. Yeah Glock lovers flocked to it, but to the rest of us was and still is laughable. All that being said..I think this a viable option for some. It's thin, which to me is the single best option in cc. I grab my shield everyday because it's comfortable. I would definitely consider this gun... No it's not the best of everything, but to me this a serious carry pistol.. The 43 just never was!

This gun is awesome for sure, but Phase out the 19? I have both the 19 and the 43X. They both have there place. I think the 19 is a far more versatile gun than either the 43x or the 17? You can somewhat conceal the 19, (not as well as a 43x) or you can put a 33 round mag in it for serious business (just the same as a 17 that would be difficult to conceal). You can even add a longer barrel to match the barrel lengths of the longer 17. I’d rather head into combat with a 19 instead of a 43 for sure. Wouldn’t you? The 43x is an awesome conceal gun with more capacity than the 43 and more reliability than the 365. I bought a Sig 365 and even the “fixed” 365 had issues returning to battery as well as striker slide. It was very disappointing because the 365 had a lot of potential. As you said Glock rarely has reliability issues. To me they are like an AK-47 of pistols. Not pretty but they get the job done? Nice video but you lost me with the phase out the 19 thing? Further, it is my opinion the 48 is essentially a California 19? Just my thoughts. Good video.

My new EDC. Added a 3.5 lb connector and wow, what a great shooter. Plus, I’m using the shield 15 round magazines. You can’t beat it.

I already have a 43 and a 19. I don't think I will be adding the 43x or the 48. I did recently buy another Glock. Got a 29. Love it.
This is the setup I am possible going to go for, I have the 19, but I want a carry gun I can conceal well, I may go for the 43.

I also have a 19 and a 43. Love the 19 and thought I loved the 43....until I held the 43x. It’s exactly what I want. It’s placed right between the two. Skinny and concealable like the 43, yet the grip fits my hand better like the 19. Can’t wait to put rounds through it.
I have a G43X and I love it. I really like the texture of the slide. My only issue with it, it slightly harder to conceal due to the length of the grip. Its a great firearm!
i just picked one up today and i gotta say it definitely replaced my g19 for carrying during summer season however when i’m rocking a hoodie in the winter i’ll continue to carry my 19. i don’t believe any other gun can phase out the 19.
You can now get 15 round mags from s15 shield arms for the 43x . So now you have the same round count.

I just bought a Glock 43X. I own several firearms and lots of Glocks. I bought the 43X, with my wife and daughter in mind. They could train with it and carry it but due to the firearms thinner profile, it would be easier for them to shoot, and have better ergonomics. Everyone ended up really loving the gun. Even I did too. Now I need to buy 2 more so my wife and daughter can have one, as well as myself. All of my Glocks have been bought new and are blue labels that have come with either Glock factory night sights or the Ameriglo factory night sights. The department that I work for uses Glock 22’s, with factory night sights so that is what I have always bought. But a few months back I had my local shop order me a Gen 5 Glock 45 MOS, and a Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS. The shop owner misunderstood the sights that I wanted and ordered the Glock with the Ameriglo’s. I actually like them better but, still like the Glock factory night sights too. With the 43X, the only dislike with it that I have is that it only came with 2 magazines and not 3, like almost every other Glock that there is. I ended up having to buy a third factory mag and don’t know why Glock chose to do what they did but, I absolutely love the 43X, for its ability to conceal really well. With the shorter barrel, I will run +P ammo. On all of my other handguns, I have them loaded with Hornady Critical Duty rounds. But, I only like to run standard pressure on barrels that are 4” in length or more. Since this one is under that, I’m going to run the +P Hornady Critical Duty rounds to compensate for the slight losses in round speeds and pressures.
Just got my 43X. So light weight and thin. Also, a great shooter. It’s going to be my summer gun! Great review and I think you are on to something!!!

Crusiferous I have both and the G2C's slide is noticably thicker and heavier and about the same length but has a barrel in that slide that is over a 1/4 of an inch shorter.
Shield arms also makes a mag that holds 15 rounds without increasing mag length.

I'm right there with u on that Matt. Got my 43x a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It is so light and the perfect size, it's easy to forget you are carrying it. Shoots great, wears great, and hey...its one of the most reliable brands in the world. At $450 it was an excellent investment for me. No doubt, if I ever find myself in a really bad situation, it will solve the problem.

This was my first gun purchase ever. Love it.
I just got the 43X. I like it. It shoots great. Feels great. Carries great. But it's the only Glock I've ever shot that gave me slide bite. Next time I shoot it, I'll see if I can adjust my grip in such a way as to prevent that from happening, yet still feel like a natural grip.
Thanks for the video! I shot my 43 alongside the 43x. I did like the grip of the 43x and did shoot it a bit better than my 43. I do like the flexibility of the 43. With an extended mag I can get almost to the capacity of the 43x but can go down to a small mag if needed. I shot the 48 better than the other two... Cheers!
U can get 20 with shield mags for the 43x the 43 can’t get no where near it lol cause it’s a single stack
I rented the 43x at the range, it shot very nice. Needs a decent trigger and sights to make it great. Sig P365 got all that already and conceals much better. Both sell for $499 @ Academy Sports.
Paul Surratt p365 is a great gun until the firing pin starts dragging on your primers and develops all kinds of problems after 500-1000 rounds . Glocks always be more reliable and in an emergency i won’t use anything other than a glock...
just bought mine today, on sale for $449! my wife's edc is the 43 but it felt a bit too small for me so I went ahead with the 43X. I have not fired it yet but I am looking forward to it.
I just picked one up and love it, can't wait to have slide milled for the new Holosun 507K red dot when there available.

The major update was the capacity... That was the only major update. And the 365 was the only challenger on that front. So I'm pretty sure it was in response to that. Too bad they still couldn't mach the capacity per size of the 365 though. I wish there were more competition for that gun.
Well, if Glock were trying to compete with the 365 I think they would've made the handle smaller. Also, I didn't care for the 365 and Sig had problems with them early on. If I had to pick between the 2 I'd go Glock or even the Shield.
@@garyjustgary5059 I have the shield 1.0 and 2.0 and the P365. After breaking the P365 in its a great shooter. The Glock 43 is far to snappy and heavier recoil than the Sig and the M&P. Theres no way you can honestly say the Glock 43 shoots easier. If you are saying that , then 1 of 2 things . You haven’t shot the P365 or M&P Shield or your straight FOS .

Picked one up just yesterday, no range time yet but it will be replacing my 709slim as an EDC. So comfortable IWB with a crossbreed. Grip is excellent! Can’t wait to see how she shoots.
I have 200 rounds through the 43x and 200 through the 48. Either one would be a great choice, but for me the 48 is the perfect carry piece.
been thinking about a 43x or 48 for my first cc. I have a g19 gen5 that I bought as my first pistol, but really had home defense in mind. I know people successfully carry that weapon, but the g48 is basically the same profile as the 19, just slimmer. I'm leaning towards that.

yup that's the way to do it...grab the taran tactical +1 +2 and +3 mags and you have concealment options for almost any dress code.

I just saw one at my local ffl for $494.99. Now I don't necessarily think that's a bad price but I did just put 500 rds through my Taurus G2C with no malfunctions and that gun was half the price of the G43X and has 12 rnd mags. I know it's Taurus so it's crap...well so far not in my experience. So despite the cost I do like the 43X and it fits well in my hand. I would like to own one because Glock, why else. It can't always be about price and I'm not opposed to spending a few more dollars for maybe a bit better quality.

Thank you- I’ve been leaning towards a P365 over a G43; mostly because P365 carries 10, but G43 would likely last my lifetime (cf. Glock 17 running 350,000+ round count). So now I need to try yet another gun (oh twist my arm!) at the range for a test drive... so 10 rounds that lasts a lifetime G43X may make for a game changer.
Ultimately I want the most bang that even my wife won’t notice.
The Glock 43 is the perfect CCW and Every day carry.

The biggest thing I don't like is the magazine is propriety, you can’t interchange with other Glock 9mm mags. I think a 43 with mag extension would do the say job and have mag interchangeability. Thanks for you video.

The Glock 19 will still have a niche with women who want a full size home defense or range gun that may find the 17 too big. I agree with all of your points on the 43x about filling a void where Glock’s lineup obviously had some gaps in it. The 19 is Glock’s #1 selling pistol and for good reason. It will still have its place in the lineup for my reasoning above and others who don’t want a full-size gun but like the capacity of the 19. It still covers a lot of middle ground.
There is no doubt in my mind that this was Glock’s answer to the Sig 365. I believe that if the Sig had not been so uncomfortable in the hand and the first batch ended up being a mechanical train wreck, sig would have destroyed The Glock 43 market. That being said, the sig is rediculously uncomfortable and is a stovepipe/Ejector snap/general pistol malfunction waiting to happen. So I won’t own one. I bought the 43x and really couldn’t be happier.

Yeah when I had a P365 I had to mod a hogue grip and slap it on the frame. I personally couldn’t get my support hand palm on the frame due to the slim frame.
awesome vid man and I think the 43x will have it's place and as a Glock guy I can't wait to get my hands on one but I don't think I would trade it over my G 19. I love how my 19 shoots and all and I still get more mag capacity. Now I may change my mind when I actually shoot a 43x but still.
Good video, as for the 43x Longer grip=printing, hence why I’ll stick to my 43, capacity doesn’t mean much if you train, if in fact it’s that much of a priority you can always get mag extenders .....

I carry many different firearms, I just picked up a g27 and to me that works well as it accepts different barrels such as 9mm and sig 357 as well as other glock mags so there are possibilities lol
I thins gun competes more against the G26. Both 10 rounders but this will be more comfortable, well it is more comfortable to me. And I don’t have to rely on a mag extension for my pinky. I still have my G19, but not my G26 anymore.
So my issue with the g43 was the first thing I done was add a mag extension +3 but only kept 7 in mag the 43x better fill in grip best thing glock had done have owned a 365 it now lives in back of safe x got it beat

Mine came from the factory with Ameriglo night sights. Glock offers them with three sight options, plastic, Glock night sights, Ameriglo night sights.
G43 is also Snappy as Hell. M&P Shield way better.

LOL, the G19 isn't going anywhere, that's for sure. I just shot the G43X and the Sig P365 a couple days ago, liked both of them very much, but the G43X felt much better in my hand. The Sig's grip was too small for me. Granted the Sig sights, trigger, capacity and size are fantastic, unmatched, crazy insane how they did it, but the G43X will be easier to get out of your holster and easier to shoot in a stressful situation. Unless you are a police officer, where 10+1 rounds might not be enough (especially if you need deep cover than go with the P365), 11 rounds should be more than enough fire power for anyone in a self defense situation, unless of course you live in a war zone, which in that case you should probably move. The G43X will be an excellent EDC for CCW. I plan on getting one this week and will trade off between that and my G19. Be safe.
Really hope they come out with an all-black version. Not digging the silver slide.

If you add magguts (a $33 mag accessory) to a shield 8 round magazine to bump it up to 10rds, you have very comparable set up on a shield... which can be acquired for under $150-200 less than this new Glock. I would be interested to see how truly concealable this new offering would be for those carry strong side with a tuckable holster set up. It's really difficult to label any concealed option the best these days because there are tons of reliable options at great price points that can accommodate various body types. It all boils down to what trade off you are willing to make...

Make sure and get tritium combat sights, and yes even with big hands very manageable. This model is much like a Sig PPK or some such Euro Police gun. Uh, well its a Glock. Positivity here, life saving....
I like it but the whole "innovation" thing is nonsense you can get a kahr same size for like 330-350. Also on the sig p365 , kel-tec has the p11 lighter just as many rounds been out for 10 years and cost half as !much lol people are silly

The 43X will never phase out the 19. I would not want to lose 5 rounds for a shorter slide and thinner grip. The length of the grip is what makes it concealable or not.
chandler hull - I would also not want to lose the ability to use 17,19,24,or 33 round magazines as a spare. That is something that the G26, and the G19 have the advantage over the 43,43x, & 48.

I have the 43...if the 43X comes out all black I could consider selling my 43 to purchase the 43X.
Just get a 43X frame and then you can swap the slides and essentially have two guns.
Don't sell keep and acquire more.
Get a 48.. your 43 slide fits on that frame perfectly and you have two different slide and barrel lengths on one receiver .. and you still have the option of your deep cover 43 receiver, dont sell it unless its a money issue.. I have 7000 rounds through my 43 as we train in a league for CCW ( now for 3 years) and it never fails me.. that 43 is so reliable and familiar that I will not get rid of it, but I do want the option of the 10 round magazine and slightly larger grip size for both slides..

Better sights? Like the ones that are almost immediately replaced on nearly every gun bought? Also, both GLOCK and S&W offer their guns with factory night sights. I never understood the complaint about plastic sights since I replace or buy my guns with night sights already installed. If it's a carry gun, it should have night sights.
So Contraversal opinion: Springfield had this size segment covered over 10 years ago, but it was based off a 1911, with the EMP3'. It's a compact 3' barrel with the gun skimmed down for 9mm specifically, had a full three finger grip, and used the wide of a 45 mag to get a psuedo stack of 9 rounds in the gun. I saw the 43x and was super excited until I realized I basically had this gun already with a different look and feel. This isn't a revolutionary idea. Glock jusy finally figured out that this size of gun is actually great for concealed carry.
i don't get the hype on this one, concealment problems usually are grip length related, so if your cool with the longer grip get a glock 19 and have the advantage of a longer barrel.
And then the Shield Plus came out and demolished it lol. Shoots flatter, better trigger, if you run the 13 round extended mag it’s the same length but you get 3 more rounds in the gun itself, and accepts OEM 15 round mags too so 16 rounds without an aftermarket malfunction inducing mag. I think the Shield Plus is a million times better. Just as thin but higher OEM capacity and better to shoot. To me the Glock 43x is kinda pointless for most people.. if you’re gonna have the same exact length grip as the Glock 19, you might as well just carry the Glock 19 lol. You get double stack 15+1 capacity, it’s barely thicker and accepts the larger Glock mags too. The thickness isn’t what causes printing really when it comes to concealed carry, it’s the length of the grip, so being that it’s the same length as the 19, I don’t see a real reason to carry the G43x and sacrifice better velocity, easier control, and higher capacity. The Glock 43x is mainly good for those of really small stature or even the ladies out there that want a smaller gun on them with their tighter clothing attire.
I like it aswell as the 19x.
For all you sig P365 lovers it doesn’t even compare to a Glock 43X because the sig doesn’t work So stop saying Glock is trying to come up with an answer to compete with the sig p365. sig is still playing catch-up with the sig p365 and the Sig 320 is playing catch-up with the Glock 19 Sig needs to fix their striker fire guns And get them to function properly and safely. Hahaha, Imagine that, the gun w/ a longer, wider handle feels better, and is more controllable. Most people handled the forty-three BEFORE they bought it. I'll be replacing my Sig p three-sixty-five with the forty-three X. Soon.
Good review. Just one thing. Glock didn't make the X to compete with the Sig pthree-sixty-five. Although it probably will. Anybody that knows anything about Glock knows that they go there own way. Forty-three X is a MUCH better pistol than the Sig anyway.
Can I just say this.. It feels like Glock is trying to answer the Sig p365, but isn't really doing anything new. 10 rounds but in a much bigger package.
Don't get me wrong..I thought the late to the market 6 round 43 was a complete joke. Yeah Glock lovers flocked to it, but to the rest of us was and still is laughable.
All that being said..I think this a viable option for some. It's thin, which to me is the single best option in cc. I grab my shield everyday because it's comfortable. I would definitely consider this gun... No it's not the best of everything, but to me this a serious carry pistol.. The 43 just never was!

This gun is awesome for sure, but Phase out the 19? I have both the 19 and the 43X. They both have there place. I think the 19 is a far more versatile gun than either the 43x or the 17? You can somewhat conceal the 19, (not as well as a 43x) or you can put a 33 round mag in it for serious business (just the same as a 17 that would be difficult to conceal). You can even add a longer barrel to match the barrel lengths of the longer 17. I’d rather head into combat with a 19 instead of a 43 for sure. Wouldn’t you? The 43x is an awesome conceal gun with more capacity than the 43 and more reliability than the 365. I bought a Sig 365 and even the “fixed” 365 had issues returning to battery as well as striker slide. It was very disappointing because the 365 had a lot of potential. As you said Glock rarely has reliability issues. To me they are like an AK-47 of pistols. Not pretty but they get the job done? Nice video but you lost me with the phase out the 19 thing? Further, it is my opinion the 48 is essentially a California 19? Just my thoughts. Good video.
