One of the saddest movies I ve ever seen...The death of 'Ratso' Rizzo is so damn sad...But at least he's not alone, he died peacefully with a good friend at his side...Not many of us could say so...
9/2023........Such a great movie,.....I must revisit the music at least once or twice a year. So many iconic grubby NYC street scenes from the late 1960s.
I played this over and over on my tape player when I was twelve, 44 years ago. It was on a compilation tape didn't care for the other tracks so the constant rewind and play broke it eventually ...........happy days.
Fabulous version...thank you so much for loading it. I'm a guitar player and always find some new song to master and this version is excellent with the 2 guitars.... but it won't make it on the set list Friday... not ready....here's to a lifetime of music... I started playing in 64 after watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan...
4 people aren't driving around in Jon Voight's car ;-) Great song! Watched Midnight Cowboy a few months back just to see all the Seinfeld references and I loved it! Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight really were great together,
I'm a fan of the movie CRANK, but it's something bout this song and the guitars when it first starts that really gets me. The beginning is life inheriting and white boy was blowing.... G shit. ☆813☆
That last verse where he sings "everbody's talking at me" and holds it out like he does hits me deep within every time. One of the unique differences between this version and the radio version. The radio version also has a very profound effect on me as well.
I've actually been looking for this version cause I fell in love with his version of this song! i lindance to the Norah Jones version, but I like this version when I'm traveling.
On this day in 1969 {August 16th} "Everybody's Talking" {from the film "Midnight Cowboy"} by Nilsson entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #6... And on that very same day another one name artist with a song from a movie also entered the Top 100; "Jean" {from the film "The Prime of Miss Jean Brody"} by Oliver, it reached #2 {for 2 weeks}... R.I.P. Harry Edward Nilsson III {1941 - 1994} and William Oliver Swofford {1945 - 2000)...
I think that this song is, among other things, Ratso saying to Joe, let's get out of Dodge. It is no place for us. It's a lovely song; I remember walking to K-Mart singing it in the early 70s.

Oh yeah, still my all time favorite Castlevania game ever. Hasn't been beat yet by any of the preceding games in the series, although Order of Ecclesia (the new DS one) comes damn close due to its originality and playability with the "Metroidvania" formula.
Yeah, a great movie...But I've only ever watched it once. One of the most depressing films in cinema. And I haven't seen it in over thirty five years. And won't ever again.
@Mono280367 I had never heard his version until I read your comment. Listened to it for about 10 seconds and turned it off. He's not a bad singer, but that was not a good song for him to attempt.
Theme song from the movie “Midnight Cowboy” (Also released in 1971): starring John Voigt (Angelina Jolie’s father) and Dustin Hoffman. Still & ALWAYS a Great song for any traveller to swagger and sing along in their heart to during this the “Age Of COVID 😷2020” !!! REMEMBER: This TOO SHALL PASS AWAY!! This AMERICAN POP CLASSIC won THE COVETED ACADEMY AWARD in 1971 & was the only film to have (not only this distinction, but was the only film that was also rated “X”! (A distinction Which was considered TOTALLY pornographic and not suitable for general audiences in 1971)! This hit was just added to our endless member-generated collective on Facebook, and added to our classic rock playlist at the link below if you’d like to bust out of your current listening algorithm & listen to something FRESH : ua-cam.com/play/PLsJl7YnV1iDFTdX9SWJFqeivKK4ikOae0.html
1969... But I think it did go into revival in '71-'72 to play at smaller cinemas. (Smaller screens as they call them) It was showing at the Surf Theater just a few blocks from where I was living beginning in late 1971. Later I remember seeing the film listed in a 1969 Playboy magazine, in both stills from the film, and Playboy's annual music poll.
They just removed this version off Spotify. I'm so glad I was able to find it, thanks.
Me toooo I'm so happy it's so difficult to find this one..😢
Yea that’s such a disappointment
Yeah what the heck? It’s the best version!
Same! I tried so many other videos before I found this one.
Agreed!
This is the original and best version Everybod's Talkin !
Agreed
The guitar intro is fantastic. Almost cry when I heard it
The best version (according to me, of course)
And you'd be right.
This is the much superior version to the single version, love the banjo!
Always enjoyed this version more than the FM version. Thanks a lot for uploading it.

Fabulous version...thank you so much for loading it. What a brilliant song and film. I still enjoy listening to the song after all these years.
'Talking at me' implies that people are lecturing/adivsing him, rather than engaging him in a conversation I think.
4 people aren't driving around in Jon Voight's car ;-)
Great song! Watched Midnight Cowboy a few months back just to see all the Seinfeld references and I loved it! Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight really were great together,

LOVE this version! Thank you.

Nice movie and beautiful song also...
Great, great song.........Thanks
notice that in many of Dustin Hoffman's movies, he almost always have the last scene on a bus
Great version, it sounds as good as the another one, thanks for sharing
Thanks for this.
La plus belle amitié que j'ai pu voir au cinéma !
magnifique,je des frissons a chaque fois
I've actually been looking for this version cause I fell in love with his version of this song! i lindance to the Norah Jones version, but I like this version when I'm traveling.
Crank half-naked bike-scene :D
Totally agree! Love this version a bit better myself. Thank U alucard624
I'm glad to have helped you in ending your search. It really is a beautiful song, especially this version of it.
I think some of these great tracks from old movies should be used in recent made movies.
They do, for example this was used in Crank with Jason statham.
Borat jajaja
I'm brand, spankin' new in this here town and I was hopin' to get a look at the Statue of Liberty.
This movie was so dark, but I love it so much!!
3 versions of this were recorded,2 which bookended the Soundtrack of this movie..the one on 45 also was on his sophmore RCA Lp "Aerial Ballet",btw.

Very Nice 624 !!

I remember hearing this tune on that Growing Pains episode where Mike decides to move to New York to do a play.

This is a very strong song today, I mean it holds up well. I could see a Indy band cover this or Coldplay etc.

Where's that Joe Buck?!! Where's that Joe Buck?!! Where's that Joe Buck?!! Up your income, lady! Hi, cowboy, gotta cigarette?
Does Dustin Hoffman always find himself on a bus or a train at the end of every movie?
Haha, heck I get ya.
le jour de ma mise en boite SVP.
Seinfeld
Why is it saying everybody's talking at ME and not TO me?
He's making the point of being lectured at by those who think they know best, rather than being engaged in civilised, two-way debate.
check out the Band of Outsiders feat. Phil Gammage version on our channel.
Everybody is listening....
@SERGIO3457 ,
What? This is America Serge, you know...When in Rome.
I think I prefer it to the original Harry Nilsson's. It's somehow deeper.
Edgar MontyPython Its the intro part that really adds that different feel to it. It's the main reason I prefer this version versus the radio release.
