You can’t compare a cheaper price tier if it includes ads! No one should watch ads in the middle of great television!
I have UA-cam TV and I use most of the streaming services but I need to sort them out and drop a couple so this was helpful.

amazon prime is pissing me off. but they got me hooked. i was very surprised to find out that peacock offers movies recently in movie theaters like The Holdovers. which i’m currently watching

it won't be long until the major Streaming Services will inevtiably be Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ and what the US has now with Max (these obvs include WB, Fox and Sky in Europe and also anything NBC/Comcast /Peacock ?).. so the main question is where will Paramount (formerly Viacom) end up?
I've been hearing rumors Paramount will shut down their streaming service...but I'm not sure how much weight those rumors actually carry.
@@TheorySmackI hope not, Paramount+ is one of my favorite streamers right now. I’ve been looking into those rumors and it sounds more like they’re going to be shutting down their other streaming apps like Showtime, they’ve already shut down the showtime app since it’s on paramount+.
They’re most likely going to be shutting down MTV, Nick and Nick Jr., Comedy Central, Showtime, and Paramount Network, while keeping Paramount+ as their main service.
None of this is confirmed, it’s just speculation.
Am cancelling netflix this year just gone down to standard netflix lol getting Disney ones I've got a better TV and don't need Amazon since I buy alot on UA-cam anyway

Yeah, so I talked about shudder in a ranking video I did.
That and things like crunchyroll don’t make these lists for me because they’re a bit too niche.

When do you find the time to watch all that TV? Then counting the wife and kids, how much TV can a family watch?
We watch a decent amount of television for sure.
I usually watch 2-3 hours when everyone is in bed

I rather pay more for not having ads but I try to have just one subscription at the time. I don't even know the current ads anymore and don't wanna go back to the old cable days filled with ads.

Severance on Apple TV + is one of the greatest tv shows I’ve ever watched. We need season 2

Personally I use mostly free services. But even in free services I think freevee/ prime has really stepped up their game. I'm a huge sci-fi buff and with Amazon buying MGM they have been able to really add some amazing sci Fi channels. Some examples are they have an outer limits channel, a Stargate channel MGM Sci fi channel, plus I also have some other Syfy channels like BBC sci-fi. And one that is a science fiction but it's still a nerdy channel it is only one of two free streaming services that has the dungeons and dragons adventures channel.
I didn't used to use this channel much at all but with how much prime and freevee have stepped up their game it's becoming one of my most used channels

@@TheorySmack Yes you should it is great. On top of what I mentioned it also is the exclusive home of certain TGIF shows: Step by step, perfect strangers, hanging with Mr. Cooper, and family matters. But it definitely has one big fault, it does not have a good channel guide if I want a channel guide I usually have to go to prime. But prime does have a guide for the Freevee channels

I’ve been on a cancelling war today I’ve cancelled prime video paramount plus starz bet plus amc plus these services I don’t use at all I decided to keep max Apple TV Netflix I don’t pay for and peacock……Hulu and Disney plus as a bundle for the kids I’m good know

Prime Video already has ads. Their new ad plan is increasing the ad load.

@@TheorySmack they do. It’s not a lot, but they are present at the start of many programs.

@@TheorySmack I think it’s for Prime products, but that’s enough for me. Considering I get commercial free Netflix. And commercial free Hulu, with the exception of outlying companies which demand advertisements for themselves.
That said, I’m not going to pay Amazon more to remove the upcoming ads just to return to the ads I already see on there. The only way I would consider paying Amazon more, in this instance, is if that payment eliminated all advertising. I don’t see them ever making that offer.
@@TheorySmack I think they are previews for other Amazon programs. But, when I get truly ad-free Netflix, self-promoting ads on Amazon feel like a cheat. And then, to truly give over to the full commercial experience really doesn’t feel right. That said, I will never pay Amazon more, in this case, to return to the ads I am already seeing from them. That hypothetical payment would have to eliminate all commercials, even from Amazon-owned FreeVee😃🤣😁 for me to choose it.

But you can get more money you don’t get more time you are surrendering your time for money so you rather surrender time plus money coz you still pay for the product but not get comfort lol

I have UA-cam Premium. I wish Google would offer a deal on UA-cam TV for UA-cam Premium subscribers.

@@TheorySmack UA-cam Premium is excellent, in a sort of stealthy way. I briefly lost service about two or three years ago and felt the quality drop.
That could also get more people to upgrade to UA-cam Premium.

they're going to end up bundling them all together and charging $100/mo and still not give you everything, still force you to watch ads, just like cable TV did in the past. You gotta see the trend. F them. F them all.

@@TheorySmack Well sure, that wouldn't be too crazy. But in reality they will probably try to aim for something more like the Cable TV model that we all went to streaming services to get away from. There might be affordable ad free options initially, to get everyone signed into contracts. But they always get you with that fine print... ads would creep in adding more and more ads over time, charging more and more to avoid them.
I rather have ads then pay more in todays economy
Plus with ads your shows are more likely to be renewed
After really milking youtube and podcasts I started thinking about getting a streaming subscription yesterday... after several minutes of browsing the content I remembered why I'm boycotting them all in the first place. I hate them all. And so I decided... instead of paying $15 a month for netflix, etc... I'd just buy 3-4 used DVD's every month and periodically checking the thrift stores. I'm starting to build quite a nice little collection and they will never be censored for "modern audiences". First one I bought was Tropic Thunder.
Dvds are cheap used because bluray amd 4k are out. With how low quality dvds are, it's a shame you are watching movies in that quality.
@@ben99ny69 well that's true. there is some good upscaling on modern TV's. But I do buy Blu-ray too. My friend has invited me to join his Plex server and so we will be combining our libraries.
He doesn’t address the content we care about! I don’t care about price- it’s all cheap to me (less than a dollar a day is damn cheap, people) I only care about what content each platform offers!
Cheap to you isn’t cheap for everyone
