These are the happiest tears I think I've EVER cried.
Absolutely loving the reaction this is getting. Never apologize for exposing the world to art, Jimmy. Thank you for giving the metal scene this spotlight.
This is hardcore, not metal
Im 45 , grew up listening to punk , hardcore and metal .
Never thought I would ever see a band this heavy perform live on a late show .
Definitly put a smile on my face 😊
"A band this heavy" is setting the heaviness bar pretty low...
I got goose bumps!!! HEll yeah!
You call this "heavy" idk man of that kind of weak screams I wouldn't call this heavy. I prefer I Prevail, Spiritbox, All That Remains, Memphis may fire, Amon amarth over this boring and overrated band.
@@TrinidadYañezZavala None of the bands you listed are heavy either lmao. Dark Watch, Scumfuck, Immortal Disfigurement, new Whitechapel, Dying Fetus, those bands are heavy. I do agree though that Knocked Loose is boring and sucks.
its been a good year for Metal/Punk acts in "mainstream" media this year.
Look earlier with Gojira at the Paris Olympics
Dear Jimmy Kimmel Live, please keep pushing this genre forward on your live shows. Rock, punk and metal music hasn’t been on the mainstream media like it has been before. Please boost it for all old and new fans. Thanks you.

@@Veany my point being this isn’t remotely the first time people have thrown down on kimmel

Yeah this was badass. Poppy impressed me w/her vocal style range. So good
Honestly shout out to the sounds folks on this. So many life tv performances sound like absolute garbage and this definitely shocked me with how good it sounded. What a time to be alive
A lot of non-pop performances get the vocals mixed way too high. This mix was great!
I don't understand a word either of them said 😂
@TheJester-ct5pi Sure, but making them relatively louder wasn't going to change that, just obscure the instrumentals. And harsh vocals are more about the texture, anyway.
Agreeeed! I was worried about it but they did fantastic!
Was worried it would be like the BBC Killing in the name mix. But it was great.
Sooooo like 90% of Americans had never experienced anything beyond Pop music until last night and they are shook
And some others were already traumatised from Gojira’s Olympics performance and went into abrupt shock 🙃
🤘
The 80’s metal bands and early 90’s grunge would beg to differ. Oh and the 2000’s nu-metal. People have amnesia.
metalcore music originated in the eastern US, we literally invented the genre

I'm 49 years old and have never heard of this band until now. I will be adding them to my playlist. Thank you for exposing me to some new music Jimmy!
I saw them as the main support act for Slipknot in Toronto, which was sold out. I can’t remember the last time I saw a venue, specifically arena, this packed for a main support act. It was crazy to see.
I'm 42 and I discovered them with the release of "a tear in the fabric of life" EP. It instantly restored my interest in heavy music and made me a fan of this band
I'm 52, and it sucks. I'm sure your "friends" are thrilled for you.
In my mid 40s. This probably won't end up on my playlist, but it does remind me of the good old days when just the thought of Marilyn Manson going on tour in your city would spark enough of a panic to make the local news and send city lawmakers scrambling to try to get him banned
i’m younger than you, here from moistcritikal just to see what the fuss was about, and this really isn’t anything egregious. i’m glad i listened to it at least once, even though it turned out it really wasn’t my to my tastes. it did seem VERY cathartic and fun though! and i liked it when they screamed “SUFFOCATE!” at the same time, it like, set off a lightbulb in my head.
I love this in all seriousness. This was great. Brand new fan here. ❤❤❤⭐️⭐️⭐️💯💯💯🏁🏁🏁

Inappropriate? My god have you seen most of the chart topping rap and pop songs? And alot of these artists have played on late night talk shows! Knocked lose crushed this performance!!
@@sk8screamerguitarI concur but I’m sure the same people would condemn “chart topping rap.” Not coming for you, just saying all forms of expression and art have been under fire since the dawn of time. We just have to keep pushing.
Well said my friend. I thought we where long over this "music shaming" stuff. I let my kids listen to what they want, even if its not my taste. Music is a form of expression, feeling and art. Something like that should never be hold back.
I was listening to this with my non-existent 4 year old and he started crying during the breakdown at 2:06. I can't believe Jimmy Kimmel would have a band with a reggaeton beat on his show! Reggaeton is well established to be the music of El Diabalo, Satan himself!
Amen
I don't know why, but this literally gives me both the goosebumps and a lump in my throat. I just love so much that this ferocity was shoved right down the throat of national television. Beautiful.
