@@scaramouchew It depends on what you want to do with it. I put some Helibars on the Gixxer, and that helped, but the comfort is still behind my old Triumph. The lack of bottom end is also a bit annoying. There's approximately nothing below 4000 rpm, then it picks up rapidly from 5 on. If you want to track or do really aggressive canyon carving, the Gixxer is better. If you want to do a mix of commuting, touring, and spirited street riding, the Street Triple is better.

Yea so I ignored you advice and got a 750 gixxer for my first bike lol. This thing rips hard. I’m not some 18 yr old kid and I have taken a couple of 600 out before.
Litrally just bought a blackbird. Fantastic bike not as brutal as a busa but some much easier to live and actually ride daily with with 98% of the performance
My first two bikes were softails and everyone told me that learning to ride a sport bike would suck. I bought a '18 gsxr 1000 for my third bike and was shocked at how easy the bike is to ride. It took way less time to get used to than my softails. I still ride the softail more but I love the gsxr, such a value for the price, pure death machine. The VVT system, quick shifter and auto blipper make the bike a blast to ride. I think Suzuki killed it with the new generation.
Hey Yam, Great list but I think you forgot the 2008 Suzuki GSX1300 B-King. Its not a GSXR but the hayabusa powered street-fighter is worth a mention IMO.
Thanks! I recently bought a Gixxer 1000. In red! No idea I was buying in to such a legend. There are still flowers left by the roadside round here where others have come to grief, with girlfriend on the back.
The newest model era of gsxr 1000’s has the HEAVIEST exhaust system. Just look at the can. Though what you can’t really see is how much the cat weighs. Is bananas. Just going with a full exhaust over the oem saves you around 70% between the 2. Shaving off over 17lbs is fantastic. But the stock header actually flows pretty well. Personally i would just go catless and one of the smallest lightest cans out there. Nearly the same weight savings and a shit ton less money spent.
Despite your two most recent videos, I realized I just can't overcome my inner bro and gonna get a gixxer 600 as my first bike anyways. At least now i know it's a bad decision though
Get the 2011 or later 750. It's only 7 lbs heavier than the 600 and 25 hp more (at least mine is). We're talking rwhp of 135 which puts the crank hp at about 155. It truly is the perfect combo of handling and power.
Watch any review of the bike when it’s compared to the other comparable bikes from the big 4. Every single comparison that I’ve seen has the Suzuki solidly in last place. It’s too heavy to corner well compared to the others and too underpowered to make up for the lack of cornering on the straights. If you love the bike, cool, I kind of like it too honestly. But to say it’ll lap the others in the 300 class is not realistic
In fact, Ari is actually featured in a video comparing these bikes, and he really did not seem to like the gsxr. To the point where the only good things he really mentions about it are that it doesn’t have the worst dash of the group, has adjustable levers, and that it’s cheap.
I had 2 of the yamaha r3 bikes ( one for me when I started and later on one for my wife when she started) for my beginner bike. I have ridden all of the 300cc beginner bikes and I've got to say the Yamaha R3 is by far my favorite. One of the only small displacement bikes I've been on that road comfortably on the highway with two people on it
That 250cc GSXR looks hawt. I want one. I don't need to die on a motorbike, I just need to get from Point A to Point B and could care less what anybody thinks. If they are out of favor, even better, maybe I can get one as a good deal used.
How about the GSX 150? Sure it's not a "big bike" but it is one of the best in it's class. I'm in SEA and have the "S" model because I wanted a more upright riding position. It gets 18.9 HP out of it's 147cc FI engine and is highly customizable. Water cooled, wet clutch and a 6 speed transmission. It's a winner in it's class. I used to ride a 1975 Yamaha RD350 and then the 650 special...that was good stuff.

Before you hate. Ari henning just put a Ducati v4s to shame with a 05 gsxr 1000...
Think it’s worth trading a 06 r6 for one?
Poppa Yams, I just bought a gixxer 750 for $800 bucks. when you made the comment about my same situation I smashed that subscribe button so I could gain more squid knowledge. this is My favorite Squid channel of all time. Please don't ever stop making content. I'm off to price out a new wife beater and flip flops for my new squid missile. Cheers! - Your #1 Squidlet
Yea so I ignored you advice and got a 750 gixxer for my first bike lol. This thing rips hard. I’m not some 18 yr old kid and I have taken a couple of 600 out before.
You still alive?
The 1100xx Blackbird intro MADE my day😂😂😂
Litrally just bought a blackbird.
I go back to this video frequently, its just too good🤣
Failed, you skipped over the SRAD which is like skipping over Rocky 3, makes you still a Newbie brah!
I had to console my 98 600 because of it.
Now that I own a Gsxr 1000r I like ur videos
When I had my Harley vrod I couldn’t take the hate…. Good video sir
Hey Yam, Great list but I think you forgot the 2008 Suzuki GSX1300 B-King. Its not a GSXR but the hayabusa powered street-fighter is worth a mention IMO.
Damn squid missile will make a man outta ya. Dont let anyone tell ya a gsxr600 aint a starter bike.
Brooo he said "the squid stone" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just sold my zx10rr , now on a gsxr1000r . Its a power house . One of the best 1000's ive owned .
someone's been watching a lot of RCR; 999999999999999
Two people can create the same joke independently
Yammie Noob I kinda recall the show reboot like two decades ago making this same joke. Poppa yam took me back to my childhood...
But you’re right
Go check out Brocks. They did some great stuff with the bike.
GsxR 750 is the sweet spot‼
GsxR 1000's R over kill on public roads❗ Great Video the ending hand me rolling 🤣
Despite your two most recent videos, I realized I just can't overcome my inner bro and gonna get a gixxer 600 as my first bike anyways. At least now i know it's a bad decision though
Did you?
Fr did u?
I only follow you for the classical music in the background
Get the 2011 or later 750. It's only 7 lbs heavier than the 600 and 25 hp more (at least mine is). We're talking rwhp of 135 which puts the crank hp at about 155. It truly is the perfect combo of handling and power.
All of the 750s are pretty mental man. its the Goldilocks size.
This is one of the funniest videos on youtube, I think we have watched and laughed at it about 50 times!!
I paid exactly $800 for my 05 750 with the fairings and 25k on the frame and I love it.
Dang you got a great deal!! I’ve seen those tuned and they are very impressive!
Proud to be a squid rider!!! I'll be a squid for life... lol...
I like your videos, don't mind me. Carry on...
Love this video, made me laugh out loud many, many times
Carbs belong on cruisers. No exceptions
Just like Ari embarrassed Duc owners pretty sure that modern 250 gsxr can lap a cbr or duke of 300cc
All holy Yams, this video is superb.
Me chilling out here that copped a gixxer 750 as my first bike and didn’t die yet
same 😂😂😂
let's go drop some 60-160 pulls
I have to say man no matter what people say about you your scripts are extraordinary on these videos. LOL real nice man
Sometimes I forget how most 80s and 90s sports bikes were so fugly.
Makes you appreciate the Ducati 916 even more.
I just bought a 600cc gixxer yesterday, Ill have it delivered to me this wednesday, cant wait!
no i want zx6r haha 💪🏼😂
I bought myself the 2019 gsxr 750 two years ago as a first bike. Was some getting used to but I love it.
The harley boys got mad, so you turned your aim to us suzuki owners ohhh boyyy.
I had 2 of the yamaha r3 bikes ( one for me when I started and later on one for my wife when she started) for my beginner bike. I have ridden all of the 300cc beginner bikes and I've got to say the Yamaha R3 is by far my favorite. One of the only small displacement bikes I've been on that road comfortably on the highway with two people on it
I have to say this was by far the best video to date! 👍
That 250cc GSXR looks hawt. I want one.
I don't need to die on a motorbike, I just need to get from Point A to Point B and could care less what anybody thinks.
If they are out of favor, even better, maybe I can get one as a good deal used.
The guy at 0:28 on the penny farthing rode that in the MS150 from Houston to Austin Last year -- he was FEARLESS on the downhills.
