*Further Thoughts* Co-ordinates can actually be seen on a lot of the clips, giving clues to where certain things are. Port Gellhorn appears to be in the North West of the map, which would suggest that it's its own separate city/town away from Vice City itself (akin to what Paleto Bay is to Los Santos, albeit larger). Could be the game version of something like St. Petersburg which hosts Indycar races, although that might be too far away for them to fully incorporate. Perhaps more likely to be Sebring, since that's an iconic race track (they'll use an original design for the track of course, they aren't going to copy real life tracks - it's just to give us an idea of what they're basing the map on), and is located to the North West of Miami, beyond the large lake mentioned here. "Rockstar has always been good at interiors" Well except for car interiors, They are horrible. GTA 5 wasn't maybe originally meant to be played in first person, But I would love if they worked more on that side on the next GTA. From the leaks it does seem better so far.
True. The fact that the exact same interior design is present in something like 100 cars is quite depressing. I mean, how many cars are in GTA V now...500? I've played GTA V up until 2018 and I can recall seing not more than 5-6 different interior designs
It is a bit sad that a Chevy Aveo and Rolls Royce Phantom have the exact same interior. You'd think they would have at least made a high end interior for luxury cars to share, but looking at actual functionality I think it's safe to say first person mode was added very late into the enhanced edition's development as a selling point, what with the wonky animations, horrible FOV, ridiculous car seating position (sitting on the front edge of the seat with legs bent and knees in the dash), and strange control feel. I imagine GTA 6 will have a much more refined first person mode, what with it being there from the start and not added in later, and as such things like car interiors will be more tailored to being looked at from that perspective, and likely more interactive, like what broughy noted in the leaks and maybe things like animations for gear changes and handbrake pulls.
To the people that complained about the graphics, even as a pre-alpha, the GTA V trailer looks worse than the actual game in last last gen. Great video Broughy, can't wait to see you race in this new era of GTA

I imagine a lot of the cars are placeholders until they get new models. Like the cop car for example. We saw an example of this in the gta 5 trailer where we had a gta 4 helicopter in the background
Definitely all placeholders. I imagine the police car textures aren't final either, unless Port Gellhorn was ment to be based on North Port. Suggesting an overall southern Florida map as that city is on the opposite coast, far west of Miami / Vice City.
As far as the cars I hope we get newer versions of stuff. Seems like every generation gets a turismo and an infernus, so a new infernus would be an aventador, a new turismo wouod be an sf90 parody.
Cars are going to be reused, that’s a given. No point in investing time into an entire fleet of newly designed cars when a dev team has already designed them for the previous game. There will be some new cars, that’s for sure. I recall seeing a Honda Accord lookalike, also a car resembling a newer Dinka Blista (hatchback) in the leaks. But for the most part I believe it will be reused GTA 5 & 4 cars (iirc I saw a Maibatsu Vincent). Edit: it was a Bravado Feroci, not a Vincent.
I think I'm most hyped about the possible scale of the map. Some committed people on various forums have already more or less figured out the possible scale based purely on coordinates found in the leaked footage. Then if Rockstar is actually committed to the idea of an expanding map, I'm fairly excited about the future of the game. Also the details in some of the stuff seem promising. Like the vehicle interiors, the weapon loadout system from RDR2, and more. In some of the footage I seen a button prompt (press left for sirens, hold left for more options) for the police car where it seems to be nestling vehicle options. Perhaps the detailed interiors are controlled in there. In all, I can't wait to see more, but from official sources this time around.
There’s already evidence of them implementing the Miami marlins baseball stadium; so there is probably a good chance that hard rock stadium is also in it. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see a racing DLC coming after a few years which introduces a Miami GP type circuit . They’ve probably been developing this since 2018, before the race, so I doubt they’d incorporate it from the start. But I mean the track is still there IRL the rest of the year, so we can hope 😂
The vapid interceptor aka Ford Taurus interceptor will most likely stay around because Miami PD still uses them hopefully they'll keep the staniers and add the Ford explorer interceptor and new buffalo STX versions plus new grangers too.
Yeah I really hope we get to see more variety in police vehicles, I'm tired of being chased by 20 Interceptors and nothing else lol, on the bright side it seems like we might have a lot of variety in locations so that gives me some hope
I have the same opinion as you. I'm now feeling wrong for watching the footages which wasn't supposed to be out at this stage at all, and the devs are simply a victim of the hacking (just don't harass them guys) ...and yeah, I don't care about the "higher-ups" too. They've been mistreating and milking the whole fanbase for a decade (including cutting off RDR and giving a middle finger to the RDR fans, and decision to give the trilogy a horrible make-up by assigning it to a small mobile game company) so they deserve an ass whoppin'.
i mean if you choose to work for this company you are apart of the problem since you enable their business practices. so i dont feel sorry for the devs (likely paid top dollar) since they are apart of the problem we have with gta and its micro transactions also you think they care? this is their job, they come in and make top dollar for what they do. its not their game, they work for a multi million dollar company. I guarantee you, not a single dev cares the footage was leaked. what we saw is just what they do for 8hrs a day hahaha
I'm really looking forward to a more immersive gameplay like in RDR2, with quality over quantity, and down&gritty over bombastic. In this ever complicating world it's nice to have some down to earth and straightforward choices. So far it's looking R* is making the right choices. The hype train has started rolling, and it seems like you can climb on board.
It's most likely. Probably gonna have a continuation story as a result of Rubio being ruined. Maybe you work for him to rebuild his empire, and then take him out at the end to have his empire for yourself. Maybe another drug king took the island, maybe his bosses the cartel leaders. Who knows
GTA needs separate online server type/lobbies with a "skull/flag" system, let's call them Friendly Lobbies. -Attacking someone innocent flags you for one minute (empty skull icon by your name), while killing an innocent flags you (white skull) for 5-10 minutes -Everyone can kill you without repercussions once you're flagged -Acquiring a certain amount of unjustified kills (say 6 or 10) within 24 hrs ends up with you being "permanently" flagged (red skull) for 24 hours, which could lead to some interesting play too, maybe teaming up with other "criminals" for protection. Maybe some extra monetary penalty for dying in that state. -Even more unjust kills (20ish?) and you're not allowed to play in the Friendly Lobbies for a certain period of time (24-48 hrs) -If you're an innocent and you attack a flagged person that was just minding their business at the time, you will become flagged but only to that one skulled guy you've attacked. If they end up killing you after you've attacked them first, they acquire no penalty.
At the end of the day the game’s been in production for 4 years with the devs no longer being forced to crunch + a literal pandemic happened. If this is the Alpha then it’s in very good shape, no company hits like R* do, just look at the new Saints Row and CP2077. Games are so big nowadays it’s insane to compare them to IV let alone San Andreas and Vice City. I’d rather have a great GTA and RDR every 5-6 years than an Ubisoft tier game every 3-4. Rockstar are still the only gaming company who’ve never disappointed me (not counting the Definitive Edition).
for me the leak was alot of fun. looking through all the videos, hoping to catch some interesting details. Map size seems promising, going beyond the miami city limits, everglades and down to probably homestead. also small things like changing shoulder view from left to right and even take hand guns into left or right hand. So i am really excited what this game will end up looking and feel to play. cant wait to see more

Hypothesis: the adjustable steering wheel could be for a VR version of the game. In GTA V, it's pretty hard to see the dials when going in 1st person view in some cars, and having tried GTA V in VR I'm kinda hopeful by this sort of customization option.
In one of the leaked videos there is also a reference to a "Efekonefee" Swamp or something like that, which is an obvious reference to the Okefenokee Swamp in southern GA/northern FL. There are also references to the Fort Meyers area and Lake Okeechobee. So I think it will be mainly based in south FL with some places influenced by north FL or surrounding states, like they did with GTA San Andreas
Also Florida man. It looks Florida y indeed. But in terms of north Florida, it looks like the rest of America, super spread out and car dependant. Great for a car game. Terrible for society though :p
The scene with the fakename version of Waffle House clearly showed hills so I presume that the map extends into another state, presumably based on Georgia or Alabama.
I hope we get some variety of police cars at all times. It's usually the same 3 (1 in the city) Would be cool if police used more vehicles, even armored trucks and motorcycles.
And i hope the police to be more realistic, in gta 5 with one 🌟 they just shoot u, maybe 1 star u get a warning (like rdr2) or a ticket, 2 stars they try to arrest you but not to kill you, 3 stars more cops trying to kill u, 4 stars the swat comes, 5 stars the fbi comes with helicopters and armored vehicles and riot shields
Port sounds like Fort or Fort Lauderdale just north of Miami. Fort Lauderdale makes sense to be named “Port something” as it host one of the main ports for Miami’s many cruise ships. Fort Lauderdale is home to many high end shops and buildings like Trump tower. It’s like the Rodeo drive of Miami.
In some of the clips with the huge debug asset/event lists on screen there is mention of "Tourist Keys - 0" and counting up, so that makes me think the Keys WILL be in the game which makes me happy as a Key West native. There is also mention of "warehouse sex robot" so idk wtf THAT is lmao. I also see "Shanese" and "Vicki" specifically named on that list, so maybe those will be story characters whether for side missions or main missions or something else, no idea but they're there. These lists also show Backyard wrestling ring, DOG HUMP DOG (LMAO), Mugger - Keys Gas Station, Vehicle racing (Ocean Beach street, Hamlet off-road 1,2&3, Port Gellhorn raceway [presumably 1,2&3], Ambrosia Tarmac 1&2), Satanist House, Big cat mansion, Bird Cage clue, Sand art, Sand sphinx, burnt wreckage, broken bridge, sniped victim apartment, dancer mystery, Missing tourists (trophy room, submerged car victim, junkyard victim, cave victim, trailer victim. Seems like maybe a serial murderer mystery like we had in GTA O). These lists are scrolled through, and theres way too much more for me to type it all here, so if anyone else has the 90 clips and wants to investigate further it's the clip titled "Americas_1 2022-03-03 10-43-31". EDIT:Mummified old lady is notable, so I'll add that. Scarface crime scene (probably like the bloody bathroom we also saw in Vice City, dunno.) Dead bungee jumper There are many mentions of the Keys in this list, and I think the location shown while this menu is open is the Keys. The house and terrain reminds me of the Keys a lot. Actually looks a lot like the properties around my Papa's house. Definitely seems like the Keys are pretty much confirmed, unless they pull a Vice City and cut it out of the game. Singing road? Maybe one of those musical rumble strip roads? Far Right Militia? Spaceship house Everglades plane crash. WOW this event/asset menu really gives a LOT of info. That might just tell us right there that the everglades are in the game. Not 100% because they can always cut content, but the odds of that being in the game just went up seeing that IMO. Bonnie and Clyde mystery - Barn Find This list seems to contain 1368 total assets/events, and this is only early development. Seems like the world in this game is going to feel very alive and jam-packed with detail. GTA 4 and 5 were already very detailed and lively, but it seems they're really going the distance and then some with 6. One thing I hope to see is some sort of hunting system, like hunting Burmese Pythons, an invasive species, for example which are a real problem and hunting them can be quite lucrative as rewards are being paid out to hunters who find and kill them. I'd love to be able to go out and take the risk of hunting them in-game, loading them into an airboat or truck and turning them in for rewards in-game. That could be cool. Maybe gator hunting as well, gator tail is tasty. Fishing could be a side activity. This is stuff that's in RDR2 too, so it's definitely a possibility. I'd love to see REAL stealth being an option. GTA 5 had "stealth" segments, like in Ballad Of Rocco, but I'd rather see the game give you stealthy and loud approaches to missions that just intuitively work without having to script it and have it feel artificial. The Picador looking car that you see is actually a Vapid branded car, so it's probably based on the Ford Ranchero. There's a clip that shows off the vehicle physics a bit better than most from what I remember. You can see how the suspension behaves and reacts to braking and acceleration. The Futo and the SUV in front of it show that off to a degree. The clip is "Americas 2022-07-14 13-42-00" if you have those 90 clips.
Would be incredible but for consoles button mapping could be an issue for some people. For me, I'm fine with losing the cinematic camera and headlights buttons, if it means we are getting upshifts and downshifts buttons.
Could have cars actually come with different gearboxes in the game instead of a menu option, but there's prob a huge amount of ppl that would hate that.

Or maybe having flightpaths you can use with your plane or helicopter and then have a short loadingscreen and then you are near another island and just land at an airfield or a helipad...
if they decide to port the other cities as DLC for online that would be massive, and the islands like Bahamas, Cuba and Puerto Rico could be like Cayo Perico heists, being able to own properties in all of them would improve gameplay when changing cities instead of a giant map it seems like they're going with relatively smaller areas car physics, gotta say I really enjoyed GTAV's handling, it's very intuitive and fun, I hope they don't change that too much, I really liked it (Homecoming it's even better lol)
This is the only video I've watched on the subject of GTA-leaks, being so disillusioned with Rockstar that other than seeing a screenshot, I just haven't bothered engaging. I don't trust the company to create something of value anymore, and expect the missions to be very much a "go here, shoot some dudes, go home" experience, with little in the way of innovative problem solving such as was seen in the earlier games until we got to the dumbed-down GTA-V. And given the very broken performance of the Online mode with problems remaining from launch, I'm not sure I will buy the game until I've heard reviews which explicitly state that such things as peer2peer server issues and multiple hackers in every lobby have been fixed.
Broughy I love your detective work I do. The real life lake you saw is lake Okeechobee. And the one thing I'm looking forward to most of all is fishing.
Last year, some guy was spewing "info" during a game session on gta. He said "Franklin is coming back for online during a hiest" this was 1 week before the trailer dropped. He then started saying things like "GTA 6 is gonna have a female protagonist" and a bunch of other shit Anyway, the point is, a lot of the stuff he said is coming true and one thing he mentioned was that the GTA 6 map will be at least 3 times the size of GTA V's map. He also said expanded and enhanced would have VR capability so it might not be true
Something as an idea would be bringing something like Alaska as a DLC with oil pumping industry for VI online as content for grinding and just the high north for offroading races and trails...
I think the map will be sort of similar to GTA5. There will be main city and then giant empty rest of the map, made in checkbox style: Windmills - check, desert - check, giant mountain - check, etc.
The very first Grand Theft Auto game had 3 locations; Liberty City, Vice City and San Fierro. The 3D Universe recreated these across GTA3, GTA:VC and GTA:SA. Now in the HD universe we've got everything apart from San Fierro and Vice City. I'd love to see the whole HD Universe linked up, and then the GTA world is sort of complete (Until they start the cycle again with GTA:VR Liberty City on the PS6).
They should add carcer city from manhunt as a city they can travel to. It has been referenced multiple times In the gta universe and its apart of the universe so why not
The Everglades sounds pretty exciting. It's still difficult to beat the San Andreas map with the 3 cities & so many towns. One factor that might be increased is the wind. Imagine having to drive in a hurricane. Disappointingly for Broughy, there's unlikely to be any snow.

the implementation of movable car parts and components is sick. to be able to move your seat forward for other players and using shift nobs, etc thats crazy
That's pretty far north from Miami, up in Central Florida just east of Orlando. At that point they may as well add Orlando too. I doubt we'll see Daytona personally.

think of distances in gta as scaled by a root function compared to real life, which degree root i don"t know but isn"t relevant for getting the concept. compared to the people, houses (at least exteriors) are smaller than in real life, there are fewer houses per block, fewer blocks for a city, and so on. for that it doesn"t matter that Daytona is a long drive to the north, scaled in game it"d still be something you can reasonably drive to
@@Shuv455 Islands are easier to reasonably move around. I mean, I won't be complaining if they do add Daytona and Orlando, I personally just think the odds of that happening aren't all that high.
Hopefully GTA 6 will take the final MMO form they’ve been progressing towards, knowing they’ll have a business model for the game 10-15 years after it’s released maybe the DLCs can take more substantial forms like reintroducing all the old gta maps in some form.

The games mood should be like GTA 4 dark, mysterious and spine tingling. I really miss that feeling from games these days. They should definitely remake GTA 4 and should add its car mechanics and physics to GTA 6. GTA 5 was too cartoonish and not serious enough. I loved Trevor's character but overall I wasn't connected to the story like GTA 4, San Andreas, even liberty city stories had a dark gloomy feeling to it that captivated me. I miss that dark gritty GTA games. Nico Bellic had a real sad story and I felt connected to him. Gta 5 was just all over the place but I didn't connect with the protagonist or story at all. It's as if they made it for 12 year Olds only.
I think port gellhorn might be a reference to port canaveral which is north of Miami and closer to Daytona. Maybe we’ll see a version of Daytona speedway in the game? Would have to be scaled down obviously but would be pretty cool to see
Having a location so close to home, I live in central florida, is going to be so interesting and to see how closely they can get to the culture of Florida and how accurate they actually get the land is going to be really cool for me and I assume anyone else in Florida. I played vice city when I was younger (like 6 years old, I’m 18 now) and I could recognize only some of the locations but now that I’m older and have seen more and know more it’s gonna be sereal to see city’s I’ve been in and live in be playable in gta
I hope it’s like (The Crew) game but where you were able to literally drive from city to city and I loved it so much only because it felt real. In game time and in present.
Don’t get your hopes up about the Gellhorn Race Track just yet, remember that R* called the dirt horse racing track beside the casino the Vinewood Race Track in V.
Dude the formula 1 track in miami doesn’t take up any roads in the city, it goes through the parking lot of the miami dolphins stadium lol. First thing I thought about with port gellhorn was the miami port, which would just be a part of vice city. I’m thinking the north beach part woukd judt be north miami beach.
The main character/s car is a 72-73 Ranchero, very obviously resembles one. Not sure who it belongs to though, but seems more likely that it belongs to the male character.
We have to see what happens with the weapons, but limiting the mass of weapons that you can carry would make pistols, well pistols. Their size is the only benefit they have and this has besides drive bys no use in GTA 5. When you consider that the ap pistol isn't really your standard pistol it even gets worse.
They should make gta 6 more traumatic. Like Red dead or GTA 4. More story based with dark theme. GTA 5 was too cartoonish and arcade made for 12 year Olds.
The cars I spotted: A Vapid pickup based on the Ford Ranchero Futo Baller Sabre Turbo Rebel Novak Police Cruiser Feroci from GTA IV And some new unnamed cars. One is probably a Chevy Spark and another is a bigger sedan. Maybe Honda or a BMW. The main takeaway from this is there will be new cars (obviously), returning OG cars from GTA V and for my greatest pleasure, IV (here's hoping for the Uranus and Sentinel). Also they will include numerous DLC cars from GTA Online so I'm glad they won't go to waste
I'm more interested in GTA 6 online and the ultimate question. "Will we all be set back to zero?" I have worked hard to amass my fortune, sometimes wasting money on garbage vehicles and equipment. But eventually I am who I am from my hard work (and the occasional money glitch). I wouldn't do it again. This will be the difference between buying GTA 6 or not for me.
To all GTA creators: Take-Two is striking some videos down that AREN'T EVEN SHOWING GTA 6 GAMEPLAY I do not recommend uploading vids that include any information about GTA 6
It'd be cool if we could just hop on a plane and fly back to Los Santos, where we'd be able to access everything we can/have right now, even if it meant having to have GTA V installed too.
Multiple charachter models, Better more realistic gun noises, actual gore like red dead, High damage guns for the most part...(Gta ar's and mgs are the best guns by far I would like to see all gun types have uses), more car customization as in different tyre types such as stretched...., No flying bikes or deluxos, Wildlife in online, MP3 player as you're walking around in both story and online, deeper detail in the ocean, All helicopters should have Chaff and flares, Drug dealing on small and large scales( I wanna be able to drive around dodge police checkpoints and sell small amounts of drugs) ,The ability to put people in the boot of a car.
13:44 in the footage you can see that npcs and the playable characters are different heights so if it can be changed that is what I reckon its for, probably automatically done though
One person said it's not gonna feel like vice city without the 80s and I said as much I would love the 80s themed I can also see why they're not doing that. 1. they already had that in the og vice city 2. It's supposed to fit modern day. But I say that to say I would still think it would be cool to have it so you can have an 80s type hairstyle when you go to the barber and also have a thrift store that you can go to get some of 80s vice city clothing and accessories for the players that love that era. Also hope it has a good fighting combat style just like in rdr2 or even better to make it more interesting. I saw they added back yard wrestling so I wonder If it'll only be a mission for story mode or it's gonna be an actual activity for players to wrestle each other or even boxing would be fun since they had in the gym in Vc. I'm assuming each city is gonna have different clothing/hairstyles for the pedestrians that walk/drive around
A small thing I noticed in one of the videos was a notification that said "New WhatsUp! message recieved." This is probably the in-universe version of WhatsApp, which is pretty neat. Would also be cool to see if it's owned by LifeInvader.

"Rockstar has always been good at interiors" Well except for car interiors, They are horrible. GTA 5 wasn't maybe originally meant to be played in first person, But I would love if they worked more on that side on the next GTA. From the leaks it does seem better so far.
True. The fact that the exact same interior design is present in something like 100 cars is quite depressing. I mean, how many cars are in GTA V now...500? I've played GTA V up until 2018 and I can recall seing not more than 5-6 different interior designs
It's a good thing that some of the cars in the leaks had incredible interiors(the ones that were better developed, that is).

It is a bit sad that a Chevy Aveo and Rolls Royce Phantom have the exact same interior. You'd think they would have at least made a high end interior for luxury cars to share, but looking at actual functionality I think it's safe to say first person mode was added very late into the enhanced edition's development as a selling point, what with the wonky animations, horrible FOV, ridiculous car seating position (sitting on the front edge of the seat with legs bent and knees in the dash), and strange control feel.
I imagine GTA 6 will have a much more refined first person mode, what with it being there from the start and not added in later, and as such things like car interiors will be more tailored to being looked at from that perspective, and likely more interactive, like what broughy noted in the leaks and maybe things like animations for gear changes and handbrake pulls.
Which is why the new interior leaks made me cream my pants, this is a complete 180 they are now BeamNG quality
To the people that complained about the graphics, even as a pre-alpha, the GTA V trailer looks worse than the actual game in last last gen.

I imagine a lot of the cars are placeholders until they get new models. Like the cop car for example. We saw an example of this in the gta 5 trailer where we had a gta 4 helicopter in the background

Definitely all placeholders. I imagine the police car textures aren't final either, unless Port Gellhorn was ment to be based on North Port. Suggesting an overall southern Florida map as that city is on the opposite coast, far west of Miami / Vice City.

Definitely agree with the vehicle handling aspect. GTA IV cars felt like boats, GTA V cars feel like RC cars, a middle ground would be ideal.

As far as the cars I hope we get newer versions of stuff. Seems like every generation gets a turismo and an infernus, so a new infernus would be an aventador, a new turismo wouod be an sf90 parody.

Cars are going to be reused, that’s a given. No point in investing time into an entire fleet of newly designed cars when a dev team has already designed them for the previous game. There will be some new cars, that’s for sure. I recall seeing a Honda Accord lookalike, also a car resembling a newer Dinka Blista (hatchback) in the leaks. But for the most part I believe it will be reused GTA 5 & 4 cars (iirc I saw a Maibatsu Vincent).

I think I'm most hyped about the possible scale of the map. Some committed people on various forums have already more or less figured out the possible scale based purely on coordinates found in the leaked footage. Then if Rockstar is actually committed to the idea of an expanding map, I'm fairly excited about the future of the game.
Also the details in some of the stuff seem promising. Like the vehicle interiors, the weapon loadout system from RDR2, and more. In some of the footage I seen a button prompt (press left for sirens, hold left for more options) for the police car where it seems to be nestling vehicle options. Perhaps the detailed interiors are controlled in there.
In all, I can't wait to see more, but from official sources this time around.
There’s already evidence of them implementing the Miami marlins baseball stadium; so there is probably a good chance that hard rock stadium is also in it. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see a racing DLC coming after a few years which introduces a Miami GP type circuit . They’ve probably been developing this since 2018, before the race, so I doubt they’d incorporate it from the start. But I mean the track is still there IRL the rest of the year, so we can hope 😂
The vapid interceptor aka Ford Taurus interceptor will most likely stay around because Miami PD still uses them hopefully they'll keep the staniers and add the Ford explorer interceptor and new buffalo STX versions plus new grangers too.
Yeah I really hope we get to see more variety in police vehicles, I'm tired of being chased by 20 Interceptors and nothing else lol, on the bright side it seems like we might have a lot of variety in locations so that gives me some hope
Yeah. There's multiple Miami police departments like Miami Dade police, Miami beach police, and Miami PD. That's just in Miami alone.
I have the same opinion as you. I'm now feeling wrong for watching the footages which wasn't supposed to be out at this stage at all, and the devs are simply a victim of the hacking (just don't harass them guys)
...and yeah, I don't care about the "higher-ups" too. They've been mistreating and milking the whole fanbase for a decade (including cutting off RDR and giving a middle finger to the RDR fans, and decision to give the trilogy a horrible make-up by assigning it to a small mobile game company) so they deserve an ass whoppin'.
i mean if you choose to work for this company you are apart of the problem since you enable their business practices. so i dont feel sorry for the devs (likely paid top dollar) since they are apart of the problem we have with gta and its micro transactions

On the weapons, they definitely sounded better. The pistol was the most notable improvement.
I'm really looking forward to a more immersive gameplay like in RDR2, with quality over quantity, and down&gritty over bombastic. In this ever complicating world it's nice to have some down to earth and straightforward choices. So far it's looking R* is making the right choices. The hype train has started rolling, and it seems like you can climb on board.

GTA needs separate online server type/lobbies with a "skull/flag" system, let's call them Friendly Lobbies.
-Attacking someone innocent flags you for one minute (empty skull icon by your name), while killing an innocent flags you (white skull) for 5-10 minutes
-Everyone can kill you without repercussions once you're flagged
-Acquiring a certain amount of unjustified kills (say 6 or 10) within 24 hrs ends up with you being "permanently" flagged (red skull) for 24 hours, which could lead to some interesting play too, maybe teaming up with other "criminals" for protection.
Maybe some extra monetary penalty for dying in that state.
-Even more unjust kills (20ish?) and you're not allowed to play in the Friendly Lobbies for a certain period of time (24-48 hrs)
-If you're an innocent and you attack a flagged person that was just minding their business at the time, you will become flagged but only to that one skulled guy you've attacked. If they end up killing you after you've attacked them first, they acquire no penalty.
At the end of the day the game’s been in production for 4 years with the devs no longer being forced to crunch + a literal pandemic happened. If this is the Alpha then it’s in very good shape, no company hits like R* do, just look at the new Saints Row and CP2077.
Games are so big nowadays it’s insane to compare them to IV let alone San Andreas and Vice City. I’d rather have a great GTA and RDR every 5-6 years than an Ubisoft tier game every 3-4. Rockstar are still the only gaming company who’ve never disappointed me (not counting the Definitive Edition).

for me the leak was alot of fun. looking through all the videos, hoping to catch some interesting details. Map size seems promising, going beyond the miami city limits, everglades and down to probably homestead. also small things like changing shoulder view from left to right and even take hand guns into left or right hand. So i am really excited what this game will end up looking and feel to play. cant wait to see more

Hypothesis: the adjustable steering wheel could be for a VR version of the game. In GTA V, it's pretty hard to see the dials when going in 1st person view in some cars, and having tried GTA V in VR I'm kinda hopeful by this sort of customization option.

Being a local Florida man, a lot of the city design shown from the leaked content looked more like rural, upstate Florida.
In one of the leaked videos there is also a reference to a "Efekonefee" Swamp or something like that, which is an obvious reference to the Okefenokee Swamp in southern GA/northern FL. There are also references to the Fort Meyers area and Lake Okeechobee. So I think it will be mainly based in south FL with some places influenced by north FL or surrounding states, like they did with GTA San Andreas

The scene with the fakename version of Waffle House clearly showed hills so I presume that the map extends into another state, presumably based on Georgia or Alabama.

Port sounds like Fort or Fort Lauderdale just north of Miami. Fort Lauderdale makes sense to be named “Port something” as it host one of the main ports for Miami’s many cruise ships.
Fort Lauderdale is home to many high end shops and buildings like Trump tower. It’s like the Rodeo drive of Miami.
In some of the clips with the huge debug asset/event lists on screen there is mention of "Tourist Keys - 0" and counting up, so that makes me think the Keys WILL be in the game which makes me happy as a Key West native. There is also mention of "warehouse sex robot" so idk wtf THAT is lmao. I also see "Shanese" and "Vicki" specifically named on that list, so maybe those will be story characters whether for side missions or main missions or something else, no idea but they're there.
These lists also show Backyard wrestling ring, DOG HUMP DOG (LMAO), Mugger - Keys Gas Station, Vehicle racing (Ocean Beach street, Hamlet off-road 1,2&3, Port Gellhorn raceway [presumably 1,2&3], Ambrosia Tarmac 1&2), Satanist House, Big cat mansion, Bird Cage clue, Sand art, Sand sphinx, burnt wreckage, broken bridge, sniped victim apartment, dancer mystery, Missing tourists (trophy room, submerged car victim, junkyard victim, cave victim, trailer victim. Seems like maybe a serial murderer mystery like we had in GTA O).
These lists are scrolled through, and theres way too much more for me to type it all here, so if anyone else has the 90 clips and wants to investigate further it's the clip titled "Americas_1 2022-03-03 10-43-31".

There are many mentions of the Keys in this list, and I think the location shown while this menu is open is the Keys. The house and terrain reminds me of the Keys a lot. Actually looks a lot like the properties around my Papa's house. Definitely seems like the Keys are pretty much confirmed, unless they pull a Vice City and cut it out of the game.

Everglades plane crash. WOW this event/asset menu really gives a LOT of info. That might just tell us right there that the everglades are in the game. Not 100% because they can always cut content, but the odds of that being in the game just went up seeing that IMO.
Bonnie and Clyde mystery - Barn Find
This list seems to contain 1368 total assets/events, and this is only early development. Seems like the world in this game is going to feel very alive and jam-packed with detail. GTA 4 and 5 were already very detailed and lively, but it seems they're really going the distance and then some with 6.
One thing I hope to see is some sort of hunting system, like hunting Burmese Pythons, an invasive species, for example which are a real problem and hunting them can be quite lucrative as rewards are being paid out to hunters who find and kill them. I'd love to be able to go out and take the risk of hunting them in-game, loading them into an airboat or truck and turning them in for rewards in-game. That could be cool. Maybe gator hunting as well, gator tail is tasty. Fishing could be a side activity. This is stuff that's in RDR2 too, so it's definitely a possibility.
I'd love to see REAL stealth being an option. GTA 5 had "stealth" segments, like in Ballad Of Rocco, but I'd rather see the game give you stealthy and loud approaches to missions that just intuitively work without having to script it and have it feel artificial.
The Picador looking car that you see is actually a Vapid branded car, so it's probably based on the Ford Ranchero.
There's a clip that shows off the vehicle physics a bit better than most from what I remember. You can see how the suspension behaves and reacts to braking and acceleration. The Futo and the SUV in front of it show that off to a degree. The clip is "Americas 2022-07-14 13-42-00" if you have those 90 clips.
I know it is still an arcade, but how likely you guys see the possibility of shifting gears in cars to make racing a little bit more real?
Would be incredible but for consoles button mapping could be an issue for some people.
For me, I'm fine with losing the cinematic camera and headlights buttons, if it means we are getting upshifts and downshifts buttons.
If modders can do it in gta v (with first person shift animations to boot) Rockstar has zero excuse

if they decide to port the other cities as DLC for online that would be massive, and the islands like Bahamas, Cuba and Puerto Rico could be like Cayo Perico heists, being able to own properties in all of them would improve gameplay when changing cities
instead of a giant map it seems like they're going with relatively smaller areas
car physics, gotta say I really enjoyed GTAV's handling, it's very intuitive and fun, I hope they don't change that too much, I really liked it (Homecoming it's even better lol)
They need to give us a Brazil/ Rio de Janeiro map. Imagine the FAVELAS/slums on the mountain valley with the big statue on the mountains .
This is the only video I've watched on the subject of GTA-leaks, being so disillusioned with Rockstar that other than seeing a screenshot, I just haven't bothered engaging.
I don't trust the company to create something of value anymore, and expect the missions to be very much a "go here, shoot some dudes, go home" experience, with little in the way of innovative problem solving such as was seen in the earlier games until we got to the dumbed-down GTA-V.
And given the very broken performance of the Online mode with problems remaining from launch, I'm not sure I will buy the game until I've heard reviews which explicitly state that such things as peer2peer server issues and multiple hackers in every lobby have been fixed.
Broughy I love your detective work I do. The real life lake you saw is lake Okeechobee. And the one thing I'm looking forward to most of all is fishing.
Last year, some guy was spewing "info" during a game session on gta. He said "Franklin is coming back for online during a hiest" this was 1 week before the trailer dropped. He then started saying things like "GTA 6 is gonna have a female protagonist" and a bunch of other shit
Anyway, the point is, a lot of the stuff he said is coming true and one thing he mentioned was that the GTA 6 map will be at least 3 times the size of GTA V's map.
He also said expanded and enhanced would have VR capability so it might not be true
It might still get VR support though for PSVR 2. Maybe they are just waiting to announce it until Sony has had their showcase. 🤷🏼
Something as an idea would be bringing something like Alaska as a DLC with oil pumping industry for VI online as content for grinding and just the high north for offroading races and trails...
Miami has had F1 racing through downtown. I can see an event for that regularly.
Another name for the Everglades is 'The River of Grass'.
I think the map will be sort of similar to GTA5. There will be main city and then giant empty rest of the map, made in checkbox style: Windmills - check, desert - check, giant mountain - check, etc.
The very first Grand Theft Auto game had 3 locations; Liberty City, Vice City and San Fierro. The 3D Universe recreated these across GTA3, GTA:VC and GTA:SA. Now in the HD universe we've got everything apart from San Fierro and Vice City. I'd love to see the whole HD Universe linked up, and then the GTA world is sort of complete (Until they start the cycle again with GTA:VR Liberty City on the PS6).
Homestead-miami road course is the pain in iRacing but not bad in Forza Motorsport.
Also maybe a F1 track of miami GP in miami too

They should add carcer city from manhunt as a city they can travel to. It has been referenced multiple times In the gta universe and its apart of the universe so why not

The Everglades sounds pretty exciting. It's still difficult to beat the San Andreas map with the 3 cities & so many towns. One factor that might be increased is the wind. Imagine having to drive in a hurricane. Disappointingly for Broughy, there's unlikely to be any snow.
I mean, RDR Online also gets snow during the Christmas period. This might be a Rockstar thing to do. I like snow, it shakes things up a bit

think of distances in gta as scaled by a root function compared to real life, which degree root i don"t know but isn"t relevant for getting the concept.
compared to the people, houses (at least exteriors) are smaller than in real life, there are fewer houses per block, fewer blocks for a city, and so on.
for that it doesn"t matter that Daytona is a long drive to the north, scaled in game it"d still be something you can reasonably drive to

The games mood should be like GTA 4 dark, mysterious and spine tingling. I really miss that feeling from games these days. They should definitely remake GTA 4 and should add its car mechanics and physics to GTA 6. GTA 5 was too cartoonish and not serious enough. I loved Trevor's character but overall I wasn't connected to the story like GTA 4, San Andreas, even liberty city stories had a dark gloomy feeling to it that captivated me. I miss that dark gritty GTA games. Nico Bellic had a real sad story and I felt connected to him. Gta 5 was just all over the place but I didn't connect with the protagonist or story at all. It's as if they made it for 12 year Olds only.
Me in my 20s want a deep story with it. Not a unrealistic arcade enjoy have fun kind of game. a real serious game is what I want.
I just found time to watch this but it's a great breakdown video! I'm excited for the new game, curious to see how it turns out to be when it's ready.
I think port gellhorn might be a reference to port canaveral which is north of Miami and closer to Daytona. Maybe we’ll see a version of Daytona speedway in the game? Would have to be scaled down obviously but would be pretty cool to see

Having a location so close to home, I live in central florida, is going to be so interesting and to see how closely they can get to the culture of Florida and how accurate they actually get the land is going to be really cool for me and I assume anyone else in Florida. I played vice city when I was younger (like 6 years old, I’m 18 now) and I could recognize only some of the locations but now that I’m older and have seen more and know more it’s gonna be sereal to see city’s I’ve been in and live in be playable in gta

I hope it’s like (The Crew) game but where you were able to literally drive from city to city and I loved it so much only because it felt real. In game time and in present.
I do feel for the devs, but at the same time, I think they should be proud of how far they've come since the previous games.

Dude the formula 1 track in miami doesn’t take up any roads in the city, it goes through the parking lot of the miami dolphins stadium lol. First thing I thought about with port gellhorn was the miami port, which would just be a part of vice city. I’m thinking the north beach part woukd judt be north miami beach.
The main character/s car is a 72-73 Ranchero, very obviously resembles one. Not sure who it belongs to though, but seems more likely that it belongs to the male character.
We have to see what happens with the weapons, but limiting the mass of weapons that you can carry would make pistols, well pistols. Their size is the only benefit they have and this has besides drive bys no use in GTA 5. When you consider that the ap pistol isn't really your standard pistol it even gets worse.

And some new unnamed cars. One is probably a Chevy Spark and another is a bigger sedan. Maybe Honda or a BMW.
The main takeaway from this is there will be new cars (obviously), returning OG cars from GTA V and for my greatest pleasure, IV (here's hoping for the Uranus and Sentinel). Also they will include numerous DLC cars from GTA Online so I'm glad they won't go to waste

I'm more interested in GTA 6 online and the ultimate question. "Will we all be set back to zero?" I have worked hard to amass my fortune, sometimes wasting money on garbage vehicles and equipment. But eventually I am who I am from my hard work (and the occasional money glitch). I wouldn't do it again. This will be the difference between buying GTA 6 or not for me.

Multiple charachter models, Better more realistic gun noises, actual gore like red dead, High damage guns for the most part...(Gta ar's and mgs are the best guns by far I would like to see all gun types have uses), more car customization as in different tyre types such as stretched...., No flying bikes or deluxos, Wildlife in online, MP3 player as you're walking around in both story and online, deeper detail in the ocean, All helicopters should have Chaff and flares, Drug dealing on small and large scales( I wanna be able to drive around dodge police checkpoints and sell small amounts of drugs) ,The ability to put people in the boot of a car.
13:44 in the footage you can see that npcs and the playable characters are different heights so if it can be changed that is what I reckon its for, probably automatically done though
I know this that characters were taller and had different builds and everything else too I think we will be able to pick our height
One person said it's not gonna feel like vice city without the 80s and I said as much I would love the 80s themed I can also see why they're not doing that.
1. they already had that in the og vice city 2. It's supposed to fit modern day.
But I say that to say I would still think it would be cool to have it so you can have an 80s type hairstyle when you go to the barber and also have a thrift store that you can go to get some of 80s vice city clothing and accessories for the players that love that era.
Also hope it has a good fighting combat style just like in rdr2 or even better to make it more interesting. I saw they added back yard wrestling so I wonder If it'll only be a mission for story mode or it's gonna be an actual activity for players to wrestle each other or even boxing would be fun since they had in the gym in Vc. I'm assuming each city is gonna have different clothing/hairstyles for the pedestrians that walk/drive around
