I'd love another video when they have added in all the new stuff they learn rom the trailer. Even if it is just a 5 minute video update.
Also, thanks for crediting the sources. Too many youtubers 'forget' to link the source material. All those people probably spent many many hours making this.
The ankle bracelet would be an interesting way to implement an older region progression/restriction system. In older GTA's, they'd close the bridges to other regions until certain story progress, and if you found a way beyond that barrier it would be an instant high wanted level. The ankle bracelet could be literally that, a device to contextualize why you get an instant wanted level when leaving an area (such as Gelhorn), as that's literally the point of the bracelet. You would still have instant access to the whole map at the start, you would just be swarmed with cops when you try to break that barrier, as was done in older GTA's. An ankle bracelet being responsible for this instant wanted level would be an inspired choice.
That would be a killer way to implement that.
Going Las Venturas when you not even progressed to San Fiero yet back in GTA SA was nice.... even lower wanted level cheat didn't work for that
But Jason doesn't have that restriction.

I thought this same thing, sounds like a fun gameplay element.
Im hoping when it comes to Multiplayer itll be more similar to RDR2 with a limited amount of weapons you can carry on you, Proximity Chat, and Proximity Player Markers. No more talking to someone across the map or seeing someone on the other side of the map. Lets actually have to use our phones to call our friends who arent near by
I think you still should be able to see friends and crew members on the map.

One thing I loved about GTA maps is when the games were released you would get a poster of the entire map that's detailed. I'm excited to what they have for us
Did we ever get a gta 5 poster map? I remember the older ones did, I remember referring to the gta 4 poster map all the time, but don’t remember one for gta 5.

The “broken” bridge next to the other bridge is the GTA interpretation of Seven Mile Bridge on the Keys. The “broken” bridge is for pedestrian travel to a small island in the middle. Also lots of people fishing off of the bridge.
That would be the old 7 mile bridge, broken in 1960 by Hurricane Donna. It used to be the main bridge. I was saying all this in the Twitch chat when this was streamed.
However... apparently, it more closely resembles the old rail bridge, the Bahia Honda bridge. Maybe just before where they show in the trailer, to the left, is Marathon, and the 7 mile bridge just out of shot on the left. I personally think so.
@@TakeNoShift I could see that. I think there’s a good chance they combined aspects of both because it’s not like they’re going to put all of the Keys in the game. And I definitely don’t think they’re going to put a seven mile bridge into the game. (Prove me wrong, Rockstar)
@@jacktion1546 It's definitely not going to be 7 miles long lol, but I could see them putting both bridges in. They put in the Bahia bridge, adn the Old 7 Mile Bridge is pretty iconic, so that must be in too. I think they'll at least have Biscayne Key, Largo Key, Marathon, and Key West in the game. Definitely Marathon and Key west, as Marathon is where the 7 Mile Bridge starts of course. I remember reading something about a reference to Fred The Tree being in the leaks somewhere, and if that's the case the Old 7 Mile Bridge would be in the game, separate from the bridge we saw.
Based on the way the Bahia Honda bridge looks irl, compared to the angle we saw it in the trailer, I feel we may have been facing north-east in that shot, but then again Fat Albert (the little white blimp) is south-west of there, on Cudjoe Key. Maybe they took some liberties and just moved Fat Albert and left out Cudjoe entirely.
There’s a “concept” map that came out a while ago that lines up well with what’s been released. The biggest given away is the old bridge has 2 breaks in the trailer. In the “concept” the old bridge has 2 breaks. What’s been mapped so far with coordinates seems to be lining up well
Edit: it’s the map at 11:17. A lot seems to line up with that map

I think it would be cool for the game to start in a smaller town like Gellhorn, then work up to Vice City.
Paleto Bay felt pointless since you only went there later in the game
All of Blaine County apart from Sandy Shores was rather pointless. Paleto Bay had one heist out of necessity, but none of the characters had any connections to that town. Grapeseed was just an extension to Trevor Phillips country, with the only notable places being the O'Neil farm (features once during the game) and Grapeseed airstrip (made obsolete by Sandy Shores airfield).
If you are going to do multiple cities, going from small to big makes the whole game feel larger. Like GTA4 or RDR2. GTA5 threw you immediately into the heart of LS and gave you the whole map, overwhelming you in the process.
@@TrolledByGTA 5 was rockstars flex like yeaaa we did that BIG ASS MAP on Xbox 360 and ps3 and you can have it ALLLLL ---- GTA 6 will be bigger than that , and we still wont even get to see it until we play the story.

Yeah. Rockstar would definitely take full advantage of all the capabilities of PS5 and Xbox Series S as well. They had done the same with previous GTA games where they utilized the maximum capabilities of their respective console generations.@@DmonDhaBoss
@@dababyconvertable7588 Technically the GTA 4 map is pretty much the exact same size as GTA 5's city, but also Liberty City was also much more dense than Los Santos
I hope GTA 6 captures the essence of the original San Andreas in that you can travel between cities. I know they mentioned unlike the original Vice City game, the map will be a lot bigger.
GTA V was like, 20% city (los santos) 80% mountain and barren land. I hope GTA 6 is more city and less empty environment/swamp. Miami is beautiful and incredible, really hope they capture that affluent south beach life. skyscrapers, penthouses, mansions, super cars etc.
I'm going to miss the mountains tho

idk, I somehow felt like there wasn't enough proper wilderness. everything was somehow too close to some settlement or a road.
I hope they include Cuba and the Bahamas. Drug smuggling and money laundering would be an awesome addition to GTA.
I can see something like Cuba happening, based off of how much of Guarma was cut from Red Dead Redemption 2. It's not like they were lacking in assets
@@swagtachiuchiha1501Was just about to say, Guarma is in between Cuba and the US in rockstar lore, would probably be one of the closest islands to Florida, i would love to see that connection between the two games

I hope there's a in game version of Disney land and Universal Studios theme park in GTA6 tbh, not too big but the right size and have no major part in the story, just there, also an ingame version of Orlando too, but have to wait and see whenever the GTA6 map is officially out tbh
I had the same thought, but Orlando is a lot further north. It doesn’t seem likely based on what we’ve seen so far. Florida is big, Disney World and Miami are about 4 hours apart. They would need to have another large metropolitan area to the north of Vice City, which seems unlikely.
@@portermcsorleyI’m sorry but they have to have Orlando it’s to iconic to Florida same with Tampa bay with the bay area the skyway bridge and MacDill Air Force Base also the lake on all these maps are way to close to the north in relation to vice/ Miami
I think there will definitely be something up north above the lake the map so far seems way too empty up there and Rockstar heard the complaints about us not wanting 70% empty land in GTA6
@@portermcsorley well looking at the rdr2 map it doesn’t really follow the real geographic nature of the US regarding where cities are. Its a short ride from Annesburg to Saint Denis which is most likely Pittsburgh California and New Orleans. I'd expect it to be north of the lake and as we have Tampa with Port Galehorn that's basically next to Orlando. It also wouldn't make sense to not have a place worth going up north if it was just a lake and a forest why bother checking it out.

They speed away from two neighbouring pawn shops that has a Port Gelhorn sign in the trailer if you pause it. I'm hoping the two pawn shops my have a funny side mission of some kind because ones called "guns and pawn" whilst the other is called "pawn and guns" lol they're literally right next door to each other 😭😂

Finally a state that has the ocean to the East and West of it and it makes sense lol. Wouldn't it be cool if they went RDR2 route with the North of the map being land? But I doubt they'll do it though. I think the entire map is going to be surrounded by the ocean as usual, but who knows.

They could, the States in RDR2 contains Louisiana which is right next to FL

Is CopperHead or Ambrosia ever mentioned in the leaks or trailer? Ive seen Ambrosia mentioned in the mapping projects, but figured it was a placeholder name. What info do we have on these 2 places?
I think it makes sense that the Port Gelhorn track would be a Sebring look alike, It would be a nice surprise to also have the Homestead Speedway as an oval track. With so many hotring cars being added to GTA Online with callback liveries to real NASCAR liveries it would be really cool to have a proper oval track.
This is so cool to me as this is where I live, and I gotta say from the trailer it looks soooo much like South Florida. They absolutely nailed it.
That's a lot of space for water on the right side. Hoping there's gonna be another island or 2, like an accessible Cayo.
Cuba maybe? I really hope there are some Bermuda triangle Easter eggs.

Check out the IGN trailer breakdown it might help, they identify police forces from several different counties which could point to a lot more locations outside of the main city.

At the end of the trailer when Lucia and Jason rob a bank you will see that Lucia has no ankle bracelet on. So maybe that’s when they brake it off to rob the store and get into VC with the money. Or maybe that mission goes wrong and Lucia gets caught and Jason escapes. But that last scenario sounds unlikely. I know the police will be notified if you try to take these bracelets off, so they could use this opportunity to give the police a wrong location while they rob the store.
Anyway, I can’t wait to see more of this project.
My theory is that the robbery is a prologue like North Yankton in GTA V. Lucia is caught and goes to prison for a while. Jason escapes and the main plot involves these two characters reuniting once Lucia gets out and resolving some bad blood between them from how/why she was caught and he wasn't.

She clearly started off in Jail, so it's going to start with a flash back just like 5 but you will be in Vice City, you will fail this and that's why she is in jail, so you pick up with her making parole in Port Gelhorn causing you to have to start from the bottom again and you work your way back to Vice City, also the Ankle bracelet is going to be how they limit your moving instead of invisible walls, you go outside of your time and the police or alerted immediately and at some point she gets it off and that is when the map opens up. All just thoughts but it sounds right in my head.
I made this comment before he was finished, He said the same thing about the Ankle bracelet.

The map already looks much better than 5's. I really don't like how 5 has 1 condensed city area, then just 2 very small towns up north and then a bunch of mountains. And being "the state of leoinda" should have some more city areas besides just vice proper. And hopefully the more rural areas are more than just a bunch of mountains
don't worry, Florida is boring. There WON'T be any mountains. You will have city, Keys, swamp land, and like it.

This is a particularly good overview
Some pointers on the map speculations I want to comment on:
- If there's a theme park, then in theory an Orlando parody city should be there too.
- A mountain area means the location is already going into Georgia's mountain ranges, but I expect the Leonida state to encompass this area too, similar to how Las Venturas is, or was, to be part of the state of San Andreas.
- Otherwise the western overhang of Florida like Tallahassee and Pensacola will be warped to fit the GTA staple island idea, so that would mean more cities.
- Port Gellhorn should be based on Tampa, it would be such a cop out if it wasn't it
- Vice City's size could stretch out given that the Florida east coast metropolis extends to such a long distance, it could also encompass areas inspired by Fort Lauderdale and up to West Palm Beach.
- Los Santos scale is already impressive, if it's really as small it looks with the coordinates overlayed to the new map, perhaps we can expect this sizing for the cities that aren't Vice City in VI. 😮

The gtav map looks nothing like real life california, it's just a lot of notable areas smushed together into an island so i would expect the same from gta 6. This map seems pretty realistic so far but i highly doubt the top of the map will just hit an invisible wall, it will most likely go to another ocean. I expect that port gelhorn will be referencing either cape coral/fort myers or tampa/clearwater beach areas and i expect somewhere in the northeast will be cocoa beach/kennedy space center. Im just wondering if any other areas will be included like the orlando theme parks or destin. Gta V included a lot of refernces outside of Los Angeles in california but didnt go all the way to san fransisco for example, so gta 6 will probably do the same and have small references to things from other cities but not include any other major cities. The big questions is race tracks, florida has a lot of racetracks from daytona to homestead, to the new F1 track in miami
rdr2 map border was mountains but with florida that's unlikely

If they were to add an Orlando style theme park I believe they’d only add a single massive park instead of multiple. What I truly believe is that Tampa & Orlando are too far North and won’t be included in the launch map.

I grew up in the keys fishing Bahia Honda Bridge and I can't wait to see it represented in GTA6, such a throwback for me haha
the gta5 version of this topic was ridiculously accurate so love it
I feel like the game will mostly be 2 player but will feel like a one player experience since they are a couple and would most likely not be across town like gta 5 where the 3 protagonists have different lives while Lucia and Jason are a couple.
I’m just looking forward to the races.

Hey Broughy, just wanted to chime in, some names you see in some concept maps are actually extracted from the September 22 leak, from in-game events that are shown in debug menus and on some road signs that are also shown
Spotted multiple UFO events/easter eggs in the leaks too, so I'm very excited! Edit: some haunting stuff as well...
Gotcha. I'm guessing those aren't in the "more accurate" map since it's not known where those names will be, but at least the names themselves relate to something real.
ESE of Tampa ( port Gelhorn) is Bradenton Motorsports Park.
The GTA 6 map is set up perfectly for them to add to it in DLC form. They could add on to the keys, make an island like Cuba etc. Maybe a DLC that takes you north to a city based off of Tampa or Orlando. I doubt they will, but I can always hope.
i hope the map is big enough to inlude islands like cuba or the Bahamas. would make planes and boats actually useful for once.
My guess as to how the story will begin: a prologue that takes place in the past, possibly involving a robbery where Lucia is arrested. Then the story jumps forward to the point where Lucia is in prison. Lucia is released after a time with the anklet and can only move freely in the starting area, as explained in the video...
So if R* is going for accuracy, there's a jail by the lake. Dont ask me how I know.

Personally all I'm interested in seeing is how gfred translates over to the GTA 6 map 😁
as it's Florida, I really hope they do add some kind of military complex to launch rockets from. Cape Canaveral as the space force station and Kennedy Space Center. Such an opportunity. As it's set in the 2020s having several rocket launches per week and even RTLS landings would make such a great spectacle. Perhaps it happens outside the playable area, in the skybox (can you see satellites at night?). GTA Online had their spin on Elon Musk already - maybe they bring them back.
Having large barges that transport rockets would be really cool. Many opportunities for action packed missions and stories to tell etc.
All this mapping approximation is a lot of fun to witness, I never played Vice City, but my childhood had a Gameloft mobile game. Gangstar: Miami Vindication which well, was set in Miami. And that of course had those islands, hotels and even some everglades/swap area.
Imagine if you could break in and launch missiles lol
A Battlefield 2042 style event in online would be cool
Port Gellhorn should be based on North Port, FL. It’s just north of Ft Myers. I believe the scene we saw is fresh out the prison break as the prison should be south west of lake oceechobee
Hope they add a yacht safehouse where you can save/sleep anywhere and do some fishing
Rockstar has an opportunity to create a very interesting connection to RDR 2. Guarma is close to Cuba, but is likely close to Forida as well, would be an interesting addition to the game.

Honestly that's part of why I like to make these videos and try to document things thoroughly. It's fun to come back and see what was right and wrong.
One of my favourite things in gaming is exploring a gta map for the first time, without having seen it before, on my own when the game comes out. So, I'd like not to have it plastered on my sub feed every now and then, spoiling the future experience.

i live in South Florida so I'm really excited to see what the map will be would be crazy if my house was in the game lol
honestly being in florida, i feel like rockstar literally just made gta vi around south florida and not just vice. similar to what they did w 5 (all of socal/los angeles area). lake leonida as lake okeechobee, the long stretch of highway at the bottom resembling the i-75 that stretches to golden gate and naples and back to miami/broward county, even down to the keys and a little bit of broward county on the top left.
Can't wait for the Vicefreds starting!
PC will suffer an additional wait, but it's going to look so good on PC hardware... worth the wait.

While I'm hopeful Tampa would be included, that city to the northwest is Naples. With the way the roads look/converge, that's 75 and Alligator Alley that are running east-west.
Since both roads are south of Okeechobee, so that makes sense in my head.

@crookedjack3380 Based on what I've seen, it's more likely that 1 of the "major" cities is Ft. Myers. The 3rd city could be based off Orlando, but idk.
I'd love to see the whole Tampa Bay area in the game, though. I'm from St. Pete, and living in Tampa now.

I believe the prison to be in the south east of the map. Reason is that, from the trailer it looks like the sun us rising, and as you know the sun is rising from the east.
We see a body of water, that i believe the be the ocean.
And you can see the city north of the prison.
When Lucia is having a meeting with a counselor (and that usually takes place during the morning hours.)
you can see out the window and see the sun coming right as she looks outside the window confirming this theory.
i havent watched the whole video but i hope yall actually pay attention to the road shape. especially The Keys bridge. you'll notice it in the trailer. hopefully that'll change in the map project.
Cannot wait to learn to navigate this map better than I navigate my own town.
It would be wild if they included Guantanamo Bay
I think the game will start in Yorktown with Lucia committing a crime, getting arrested, and ending up in prison. Then there’ll be a cinematic fast forward/intro that ends with Lucia getting out of prison and dumped at Port Gellhorn with the ankle bracelet until Lucia meets Jason who’ll pop the ankle bracelet off and they’ll escape to Vice City (after committing some crimes in Port Gellhorn that act as a tutorial).
I do hope we get some version of Cuba way down at the edge of the map.
Above the lake, I hope there's a 3rd city up north like Tampa or Jacksonville
unfortunately Jacksonville is way to far north… tbh I only see it because Orlando being as north as you can go then Tampa Bay Area and Miami
The black and white one looks like a good fan concept might get quite close to the real one
It is interesting how when Lucia kicks open the doors to the store she doesn’t have an ankle monitor on. Maybe those theories about the trailer being better to watch in reverse is true.
If they extend it a little bit north of that lake there is room for a Sebring like track. Would like to see that.

The Port Gellhorn race track seen in this map is actually modeled after the Sebring track, layout is nearly identical

There are racetracks on that port Gelhorn/tampa east coast area also,, the “metropolitan airport would make sense being that’s the Orlando international airport and I’m excited because seeing a spot called Coco beach (Cocoa beach irl) is like 15minutes from my house 🤪.
They did a similar start for CJ with San Andreas. He started out in Baller Country and had to ride his bike back to his block.
You should look at the GTA 5 map leaks and compare it to what we got in the game.

without the leaks, there wouldnt be as much excitement as it is now.
trailers carry kind of a bad stigma due to the over usage of cinematic footages that have nothing to do with the game.
on the other hand, having some real gameplay footage, even if its just alpha development testing, gives a much better feel of what the game is gonna be about and thus adding to the hype.
and the fact that some poor soul had to debug door physics at this development stage already speaks volumes about quality control.
Does anyone think they'll build in options for map expansions with future Online DLCs? It would be nice to get new areas with each expansion that add to the game map, not like Cayo which is separate. Having more space might create problems with lobbies though, as 30 or 60 players could just get lost in it all and be too far away to interact. Maybe they could solve this by maintaining a set number of local players in the area you're in by seamlessly transferring them between instances.
Aside from the gellhorn racetrack being based on sebring, i think Homestead miami speedway will also be in the game. Its already confirmed from the leaks that there are multiple sporting arenas/stadiums, why not include multiple tracks?

I wish the cities would be denser than what the map suggests. Right now it just looks like a thin strip of buildings placed on a main road without wide sprawling suburbs that Florida is known for

And we still don’t know exactly how far the top part of the map stretches out. Looks like we’re finally getting another San Andreas styled map.
I wonder if the top of the map will look like that or will if they'll go with an island again. Having land there would be awkward as they'd have to implement some kind of artificial limitation so you couldn't just fly/walk/drive up to Liberty City.
The mappers know close to zero about the north of the map. It could extend a lot further.
I hope they could materialize at least 3 cities: Miami, Tampa, and Orlando, as well as make the northern part of the map essentially mixture of coastlines of Upstate Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana
Florida native here with some trivia and insightful thoughts for you. if there is going to be a military base then its gonna either be in the keys naval airstation key west in real world florida... Or north above the city on the east coast on another island Patrick Air force Base now Patrick Space Force base which if thats the case they could include cape and port canaveral nasa space centers. Its about 2 ish hours north of palm beach... What everyone thinks will be called North beach in vice city... would probably be a 2 minute drive out of town lol
Florida has one female only prison up near tampa florida. so LO prison for Lucia seems like a legit move, but a male prison would and could be a thing in that vast open area along the south since Florida is dotted with multiple large scale prisons in the country areas of the state. After that race ways. Palm beach Miami, International, Sebring just north of lake okeechobee and Daytona are all very large famous paved raceways and FIRM (Florida International Rally Motorsports) and Waldo race ways are both dirt, offroad and mudding tracks. Judging by the trailer they are gonna really focus on the car culture that is here in florida.
In florida we have 3 international airports within an hour of each other Palm beach (PBI) Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Miami (MIA). I highly doubt the game will do that but i do think there will be at least 4 airports spread across the map including one small one on whatever they are gonna call Key West florida in the game. Kinda like they did in San Andreas, every populated area gets its own airport.
One thing I dont see in the game map are the canals. It is possible to take a yacht from the west coast of florida to the east coast crossing the whole state via canals. I met one guy at the Miami boat show that told me how he went from Tampa to Lake Okechobee, and then out the St Lucie river before following the coast south to the boat show. I hope we see and get to do the same
As excited as I am for gta 6, I am also super annoyed. PC release? No. I only play on PC nowadays, so I know i'm going to have to actively avoid all my favorite channels (Like this one) until it comes to pc to try to avoid some spoilers. Its frustrating that Rockstar is still stuck in that console only release mindset and I hope that they seriously reconsider before release.
It's about money they're not gonna change their tune. They figure if people can afford to build a nice pc, they can afford to buy the game on console on release and buy it again on pc. I don't like it but that's what I'll be doing. He'll I don't even own a console but I'm gonna get a ps5 so I can play my old bf4 character and gta online character from forever ago. I consider myself reasonably tight with money, if I'm willing to, I bet millions of other are. And the sales stats don't lie. We're not getting a day 1 or ever day 100 pc release

They won't...and they haven't been doing that since gta 4. So either start avoiding all gta6 content and be frustrated for the next 2 years, or....hear me out...BUY A FREAKING CONSOLE! You have a good year to save up some money and buy a ps5. Heck, even pick it up at that time for 300 bucks.
@@RAKEuutje Honestly, it really isn't an issue of price, I am fortunate enough to be able to just buy a ps5 even now if I wanted. Consoles just do not really appeal to me, controllers are inefficient (Except for certain situations like racing/flying), console hardware is limited by the generation they release on, quick to become obsolete and if something breaks? Good luck fixing it, you will most likely just have to buy a new one. Not to sound like a PC elitist, but they just work better, are more modular, precise, repairable and can be upgraded as new innovations are made.
The cool thing about a delayed PC release, waiting for the crack to come out won't feel long, compared to the decade plus we've already waited.
THe broken bridge was used in the movie True Lies.
The broken bridge in the trailer is most likely the Bahia Honda rail bridge. To the left of the trailer shot is probably the 7 Mile Bridge and then Marathon.
The bridge you're thinking of, in the movie, is the OLD 7 Mile Bridge I believe. It was broken that way in 1960 by Hurricane Donna.
