I think this is the same thing as when id came out with wolfenstein and doom. They were the first company ever to make a first person shooter.
Minecraft (or maybe other precursors) started the genre, but now many others will take the concept and build on it and do amazing things with it.
You can't copyright or patent an idea.
We couldn't have any of the amazing games we have now if people didn't build on other's ideas. That's part of how technology evolves and improves.

come on...seriously... the game isn't even completed yet and whats so bad about creating a similar game mechanic from minecraft. Personally speaking, don't compare games or even life for that matter because all you are doing is creating arguments . If trying to understand is too complicated to understand then let me ask you, do you like being compared? I hope the developer creates this game and I really hope people come into the game with a different mindset

Shut up about the rip off from minecraft! There have to be allowed to create similar games. What if COD had been the only FPS? There are more sandboxgames than minecraft out there. In fact, minecraft was actually a rip off from Infiniminer if you want to say it that way
