- After searching for videos and sound clips on this Borla exhaust without much luck, I decided it might be helpful to others if I uploaded a video. I purchased this exhaust based on Borla's reputation and thankfully I was not disappointed. While it will never sound like a V8, I was surprised by the deep tone and even an occasional crackle and pop. I tried to include partial throttle take-offs, full throttle acceleration, down-shifts, and of course some revs. The installation was very simple and can be completed in just a couple hours. Enjoy!

Great sound from a 3.6 Pentastar! One of the best I've heard on UA-cam. Louder than I personally want on my GC but great to know the option is out there.
I have a 2021 GC V6 Laredo X. I've added the Borla exhaust and the K&N intake system. I've also added a performance chip from chip your car and also launch pad Electronic Throttle Control. Now I'm ready for the ignition coils. I'm waiting for the supercharger to be introduced later this year. All the mods I've installed have increased the feel of power and acceleration. I don't have any dyno numbers but I will do a before and after once I get the supercharger. People have asked me, is that a track hawk? No grand Cherokee sounds like a race car! I love passing people on the highway in 5th gear. The ground and air shakes as I zoom past them. Off the line up to 1/8th mile, I beat most Hemi's, but once their V8 kicks in they pass me and I just back off the throttle. Lot's of fun!

Recently got a 2020 Limited X for my lady. Really liking it…thought of getting an exhaust for it and intake looking for a deeper tone and this sounds pretty good.

Great video! Do you have any sort of lowering kit on the GC? Having a heck of a time finding one because they all seem to exclude the Limited X model, as Eibach even says for a 2020 model.
Thanks! Stock suspension setup. Not sure why the Limited X would be excluded. Borla didn't specifically market this exhaust for the X either but I called and talked with their tech department and determined it would work. Good Luck!

i contacted borla and they said they dont have one specific for the limited x.
I got the Limited X V8 and I deleted the mid muffler and put the same Borlas where the dual exhaust are. I had to reverse what I did due to the drone I would get when going 60-80mph. I am planning on doing what you did. You kept the stock dual exhaust and put the Borlas in the center correct? Are you getting any drone in the cabin? I appreciate your input.
The Borla System is a complete cat-back exhaust which replaces the mid-muffler and the rear resonators while preserving the factory Limited X exhaust tips. There is no drone at any speed/RPM.

Yes, this particular Borla system requires you to reuse the factory tips (Limited X & Summit models) thereby retaining a stock appearance while significantly improving the sound.

The Borla unit comes complete with everything you need to replace your factory exhaust. The part # in the video is for the Limited X or Summit models. If you have a different model Borla has three or four other options you can choose from in the S-Type line.

Borla makes five different versions of the S-Type exhaust system for the 2014 - 2021 JGC 3.6L V6. The differences are single outlet, dual outlet, and Altitude/Summit/Limited X which reuses the factory tips. The others are all round tips in either chrome or black chrome. Not sure, but my guess would be no.
What is it like on the inside? Any added drone?
No drone at all. The cabin sound at highway speeds (2,000 rpms) is barely noticeable. Where the exhaust comes alive is during harder acceleration and even that is not very loud inside. It gives the vehicle a sportier personality without being offensive. I'm really happy with it.

The Borla unit is a full replacement from the cats back which includes the mid muffler which is replaced by an X pipe. Very well made unit.
Sounds better have you done anything else to it? Via cold air intake or supercharge it?
I was waiting for the Ripp Supercharger kit for well over a year and ended up trading up to an SRT. The kit is finally out now and apparently makes 180+ HP over stock at the wheels!
Can you do this to a 2012 with the 3.6?
I got this exhaust installed on my 19 GC limited x, but i am unable to rev it past 3k rpm. Wondering if anyone else has this or know why it stops it, thanks
A lot of newer vehicles have a rev limiter when in park/neutral which prevents you from going over 3K.
