I just realized, that part about techno's warning to tommy, when he was talking about dying like a hero, he wasn't talking about dying in combat. He was talking about dying like Theseus, disgraced by his people, which he almost did several times. This whole time I thought that line was a threat, not a warning.
Tommy almost commited suicide in exile, and if he did, he would've died without anyone on his side, while people would care, they wouldn't care as much as when he died in prison where he was already making up for his behaviour from before and dream wasn't framing him for destruction of property.
Uhm... I always interpreted it as a threat just because immediately afterwards he spawned withers, so I'm sticking with that for my AU, but this may well be true

The eyes of the lore were everywhere, it looped from the beginning to the end. Hamilton references, loops of final nights, Ranboo's theme looping back to Niki and how they both end up as anarchists - SO many things that loop in circles, so many references, so many memories, so much nostalgia.

i. holy shit. words can’t express how i feel right now. there are genuinely no words in the English language to accurately portray how much awe i am in, how simultaneously happy and sad i am, how.... i don’t even know. this is amazing. hearing it all together like this, with the dialogue and the art... it’s a story. it’s a story of love and life and death and tragedy and betrayal and greed and selflessness and- im going to listen to this on repeat for quite a while.
I’m so excited for all the songs to become on an album because there are fantastic songs that contribute a story that was being told in the past 12 months. And I think I heard puppet on a string which is amazing. I’m so excited
Okay. I know I'm a bit late but THIS IS UNDERRATED AS HECK. I assumed by the title this was a compilation of all the songs you made so far, but you basically made a whole ass musical. Also the references through out the songs, and the way the whole thing ended the same way it began was absolutely brilliant.
I cannot believe I missed the release, but better late than never. You story telling, the way the music is composed, it's stunning. Addicting, almost. Keep it up, I can't wait to see your career and skills grow! (quick edit: I definitely cried during Theseus)
The premiere just finished, it was POGCHAMP, I really like the wilbur theme "blow it up, burn it down" song, it was soooo powerful and you hit those high notes like it was nothing. Of course the other songs are also very powerful!!! I sang all the way, it was sooo gooodddd!!! You deserve to have more subs tbh. You are getting better as the days go by, and I think that you will have a great future precious. You always satisfy our ears and make us cry.❤️

Coming back after... everything, this is so nostalgic. Especially Erets monologue in the beginning. I miss the time where all these fanbases were untied in creating an awesome story with awesome characters, sad endings and new beginnings. Where the music creators foudn their place creating an ost for the animations that were made for the creators. For the fanfic writers who found a place here as well. None of us arguing over dumb things, just... being here, being happy, crying together, laughing together, all of it. I miss the DSMP. It'll never be the same as it was during the l'manberg beginning through the manberg vs pogtopia era, even Tommy's exile, but it'll be something. It was better before there was a "he's the villain, im not" complex, where no one was in the wrong entirely, but still. It'll never be the same without Alex either.... I just... wanna go back....
I saw someone commenting that the songs mirror each other, so I wanted to point out some other similarities that I found: - the chorus of puppet on a string and friend i used to know are the same - lament of the right hand man and our final night start with the same line and a similar melody - in lament of the right hand man at 12:50 the piano chords remind me of the beginning of letter to a dead friend - blow it up, burn it down plays during the other side of history at 39:54 - the notes of the piano at the beginning of theseus and of the final night sound similar, but idk if that means anything - that one is the most obvious, but the melody of the line "in the final night" in death hole plays during in the final night and our final night but it may be hidden the other one as well - i really dont know if im reading to much into this, but the first notes of the final night sound like the first ones i death hole Anyways, i love all the songs and your voice is amazing!
My sleeve is gonna be really wet after this, should've brought tissues... Edit after watching: okay my sleeves are soaked. I love this, all of the sayings between some of the songs (I mean like the tubbo going "surely not" and stuff after he found the tower and then the song after & stuff...No idea how to explain this ;-;)!
I love how it ends with a song that is incredibly similar to "Puppet On A String". "Friend I Used To Know" gives closure but not so much that you can't continue after it. The songs are so beautifully written. I love the talking between some songs, it makes it flow really nicely. I feel like each character of this arc got there own chance to be a part of a song.
I know "Lonely" is Karl's song, but Im crying, how perfectly the song fits to me.🥺 But I love this whole album, Im listening it at least 3 times a day❤

Lemme say, these dsmp albums and songs in general are FANTASTIC background music for writing! I started writing expecting it to be short but it became a very emotional thing and I love it
I haven’t heard all of your songs, but I can’t stress enough how talented you are. Thank you for being one of the first musicians who made me want to do DSMP fanart and get even more into the fandom. I seriously love your music and voice! :) 💛
Some things I noticed! -the vocals are redone on some, if not all of these (I definitely heard the difference in Puppet on a String, Letter to a Dead Friend and All for the Clothes of the Emperor). -the backing track for Friend I Used to Know directly follows the one for Puppet on a String, and the same goes for Blow it up, Burn it Down and The Other Side of History I believe! -Nothing to Lose shares a few lines and similar melody with The Final Night ("They welcomed me into their home, and treated me like I was their own", for example). -I just want to give some appreciation for the absolute feels that I get listening to Our Final Night, Blow it up, Burn it Down, and Lonely. They're all so well done and do things to my emotions. -I'm sure I missed a bunch of connections between songs, because they all feel linked. There are little echoes of similarities to other songs in this album in almost every song, but they're all unique. That's an achievement in itself. -Theseus is the only song centering around Techno. Others mention him, but this is his only spotlight. Just thought it was interesting, might be completely unintentional. -Death Hole was so damn popular that three more songs were written with titles based on a line in it. (In the Final Night, The Final Night, and Our Final Night). -One of the most memorable lines throughout is from Empty: "History itself will not repeat, but will it rhyme?" That line is still chill-worthy, and really sets up every conflict in the server. And I think that's it? I'll add to this when I find sometging new. Those were just thoughts I'd gathered, having listened to this several times now.

I just listened to the whole album and the one thing I can say after this is.. wow. The idea to put some things members of the dsmp said was so cool, and you could easily show what the song will be about! ALL of the songs were Awesome!! I could hear and feel the emotions in them and they were perfectly presenting what was currently happening, and what the author wanted to say with these songs! Great Work!! 💖

I just wanted you know that I love this. I know it won't mean a lot from some random voice online but, you guys did a great job. I listened to this album like 3 times(not counting the times I skipped around to listen to certain songs) before I shoved an ear bud into my little brothers ear to show him.(and the 5 times I've listened to it since).
I really like all of your works and I just wanted the spotify album, because it'd be really cool to be able to listen to these songs anywhere, but... What you've actually done here is incredible! Can I just say, and I don't know that this was intentional as much as it was just inevitable, but Karl's song comes so out of left field. Like, it doesn't fit with the rest of the narrative, no matter where you put it in the album it would seem out of place, cause it doesn't have a specific connection to the other events happening. Karl's lore is very much its own thing (for now, obviously they've been talking about it tying in, but you know what I mean). And it just compliments the song so well? The whole thing about "any space reserved for me?" and feeling lonely and all. I feel like it makes it hit harder, with how much that drives home his being kinda on the outside of everything, doing his own thing and yet not wanting to be alone. Just a little thing I appreciate shfjfjjg
I like how you thought of the song, to be honest. When Sapnap’s theme wasn’t planned yet, I was planning to have Lonely as a bonus track. It can also be put at the end of the album (Sapnap’s theme before Lonely), but the concept of the album would be ruined. The song was based on him being left out on the Meeting (between In The Final Night and Theseus, timeline-wise), but since the In Between existed, I found it better to put it in the most recent (aka the last).

I listen to this often and first heard it a while ago. Each song is godteir! I finally had the effort to say that something I noticed a bit ago and love is that in Karl's song, you can catch the tune that plays when he's in the Other Side several times. Good touch and goes perfectly! Love Wilbur and Ghostbur's song too!

I love this album. I found it shortly after I got into watching a bunch of the streams and hearing the song Lonely, which is amazing. I'm a big fan of the songs like Lonely and All Hail The King along with Friend I Used To Know. It's also cool that some of these songs can be applied to real life emotions. You gave me inspiration to go through all 1000+ streams from the entire group, which was worth it. And I constantly listen to this amazing album when I work on drawings!

I’m so excited for all the songs to become on an album because there are fantastic songs that contribute a story that was being told in the past 12 months. And I think I heard puppet on a string which is amazing. I’m so excited
Okay. I know I'm a bit late but THIS IS UNDERRATED AS HECK. I assumed by the title this was a compilation of all the songs you made so far, but you basically made a whole ass musical. Also the references through out the songs, and the way the whole thing ended the same way it began was absolutely brilliant.
I cannot believe I missed the release, but better late than never.
You story telling, the way the music is composed, it's stunning. Addicting, almost. Keep it up, I can't wait to see your career and skills grow!

The premiere just finished, it was POGCHAMP, I really like the wilbur theme "blow it up, burn it down" song, it was soooo powerful and you hit those high notes like it was nothing. Of course the other songs are also very powerful!!! I sang all the way, it was sooo gooodddd!!! You deserve to have more subs tbh. You are getting better as the days go by, and I think that you will have a great future precious. You always satisfy our ears and make us cry.❤️

Coming back after... everything, this is so nostalgic. Especially Erets monologue in the beginning. I miss the time where all these fanbases were untied in creating an awesome story with awesome characters, sad endings and new beginnings. Where the music creators foudn their place creating an ost for the animations that were made for the creators. For the fanfic writers who found a place here as well. None of us arguing over dumb things, just... being here, being happy, crying together, laughing together, all of it. I miss the DSMP. It'll never be the same as it was during the l'manberg beginning through the manberg vs pogtopia era, even Tommy's exile, but it'll be something. It was better before there was a "he's the villain, im not" complex, where no one was in the wrong entirely, but still. It'll never be the same without Alex either....

I saw someone commenting that the songs mirror each other, so I wanted to point out some other similarities that I found:
- the chorus of puppet on a string and friend i used to know are the same
- lament of the right hand man and our final night start with the same line and a similar melody
- in lament of the right hand man at 12:50 the piano chords remind me of the beginning of letter to a dead friend
- blow it up, burn it down plays during the other side of history at 39:54
- the notes of the piano at the beginning of theseus and of the final night sound similar, but idk if that means anything
- that one is the most obvious, but the melody of the line "in the final night" in death hole plays during in the final night and our final night but it may be hidden the other one as well
- i really dont know if im reading to much into this, but the first notes of the final night sound like the first ones i death hole
Anyways, i love all the songs and your voice is amazing!

Edit after watching: okay my sleeves are soaked. I love this, all of the sayings between some of the songs (I mean like the tubbo going "surely not" and stuff after he found the tower and then the song after & stuff...No idea how to explain this ;-;)!
I love how it ends with a song that is incredibly similar to "Puppet On A String". "Friend I Used To Know" gives closure but not so much that you can't continue after it.
The songs are so beautifully written. I love the talking between some songs, it makes it flow really nicely. I feel like each character of this arc got there own chance to be a part of a song.
This will be great album, can't wait for it

Lemme say, these dsmp albums and songs in general are FANTASTIC background music for writing! I started writing expecting it to be short but it became a very emotional thing and I love it
I am in my feels after techno.. all I needed was this album to cheer me up

I haven’t heard all of your songs, but I can’t stress enough how talented you are. Thank you for being one of the first musicians who made me want to do DSMP fanart and get even more into the fandom. I seriously love your music and voice! :) 💛
Some things I noticed!
-the vocals are redone on some, if not all of these (I definitely heard the difference in Puppet on a String, Letter to a Dead Friend and All for the Clothes of the Emperor).
-the backing track for Friend I Used to Know directly follows the one for Puppet on a String, and the same goes for Blow it up, Burn it Down and The Other Side of History I believe!
-Nothing to Lose shares a few lines and similar melody with The Final Night ("They welcomed me into their home, and treated me like I was their own", for example).
-I just want to give some appreciation for the absolute feels that I get listening to Our Final Night, Blow it up, Burn it Down, and Lonely. They're all so well done and do things to my emotions.
-I'm sure I missed a bunch of connections between songs, because they all feel linked. There are little echoes of similarities to other songs in this album in almost every song, but they're all unique. That's an achievement in itself.
-Theseus is the only song centering around Techno. Others mention him, but this is his only spotlight. Just thought it was interesting, might be completely unintentional.
-Death Hole was so damn popular that three more songs were written with titles based on a line in it. (In the Final Night, The Final Night, and Our Final Night).
-One of the most memorable lines throughout is from Empty: "History itself will not repeat, but will it rhyme?" That line is still chill-worthy, and really sets up every conflict in the server.
And I think that's it? I'll add to this when I find sometging new. Those were just thoughts I'd gathered, having listened to this several times now.

I just realized that Wilbur’s song (Blow it up, burn it down) also fits with the season 1 finale.
Im not good at truly expressing how i feel but i just want to say that this album has touched me more than any trageic movie has. I remember listening to Tubbos Song and thinking it was so cool and then getting more involved in Dream SMP and now ive found creators i look up to and friends i wouldve never made if i hadnt gotten into this community. I just listened to the whole album and the one thing I can say after this is.. wow. The idea to put some things members of the dsmp said was so cool, and you could easily show what the song will be about! ALL of the songs were Awesome!! I could hear and feel the emotions in them and they were perfectly presenting what was currently happening, and what the author wanted to say with these songs! Great Work!! 💖

I just wanted you know that I love this. I know it won't mean a lot from some random voice online but, you guys did a great job. I listened to this album like 3 times(not counting the times I skipped around to listen to certain songs) before I shoved an ear bud into my little brothers ear to show him.(and the 5 times I've listened to it since).
I really like all of your works and I just wanted the spotify album, because it'd be really cool to be able to listen to these songs anywhere, but... What you've actually done here is incredible! These quotes combined with the music bring a lot more sense to everything. This work is so well-done! I'm so happy to see something like that. Thank you so much for the efforts!

This is the best album I have ever listened to. 6 months of work, that incredible!
Can I just say, and I don't know that this was intentional as much as it was just inevitable, but Karl's song comes so out of left field. Like, it doesn't fit with the rest of the narrative, no matter where you put it in the album it would seem out of place, cause it doesn't have a specific connection to the other events happening. Karl's lore is very much its own thing (for now, obviously they've been talking about it tying in, but you know what I mean).
And it just compliments the song so well? The whole thing about "any space reserved for me?" and feeling lonely and all. I feel like it makes it hit harder, with how much that drives home his being kinda on the outside of everything, doing his own thing and yet not wanting to be alone.

I like how you thought of the song, to be honest. When Sapnap’s theme wasn’t planned yet, I was planning to have Lonely as a bonus track. It can also be put at the end of the album (Sapnap’s theme before Lonely), but the concept of the album would be ruined.
The song was based on him being left out on the Meeting (between In The Final Night and Theseus, timeline-wise), but since the In Between existed, I found it better to put it in the most recent (aka the last).

I listen to this often and first heard it a while ago. Each song is godteir! I finally had the effort to say that something I noticed a bit ago and love is that in Karl's song, you can catch the tune that plays when he's in the Other Side several times. Good touch and goes perfectly! Love Wilbur and Ghostbur's song too!
After replaying this for a couple hours, I noticed the vocals for "Letter to a dead friend" are redone :O

I love this album. I found it shortly after I got into watching a bunch of the streams and hearing the song Lonely, which is amazing. I'm a big fan of the songs like Lonely and All Hail The King along with Friend I Used To Know. It's also cool that some of these songs can be applied to real life emotions. You gave me inspiration to go through all 1000+ streams from the entire group, which was worth it. And I constantly listen to this amazing album when I work on drawings!
