Every person that's starting to do bullet journaling: Write so nicely and have calligraphy in them.. Me:being stressed cause I can't even write my notes nicely
@@sergiotorres2835 Aww, I'm sorry you feel that way; sometimes I do too. I have really shaky hands and my handwriting is big and clunky. But I usually manage to shrug it off because character that it really matters. You can have the prettiest handwriting in the world and still be a terrible person.
I’m also starting a bujo in 2020 and I was doing a quote on a page which was ‘12 new chapters, 365 new chances.’ And as soon as I wrote 365 I questioned myself and checked on google how many days are in 2020 AND ITS 366. ITS A LEAP YEAR PEOPLE.
When I first attempted to bullet journal I failed miserably. But then I was trying to make it so bright and colourful and pretty. Didn't work for me. Now I use black fineliners and a Waffleflower stamp for my monthly charting in my Habit Tracker, and that's it. And that works for me! I use it every day, and it helps! The pressure to make your journal so pretty and a work of art every month can be an issue for a lot of people. You don't need a beautiful graphic mood tracker, and line charts, and things you need colour indexes for. It's a journal and it's main purpose is to help you be more productive and keep track of things. If colourful spreads work for you to do that, great! If black pen on white with no drawing and more data and calendar stuff works for you, great! I find people get so caught up in the art "oh it has to be pretty!" aspect that they end up getting none of the actual help in organization and planning from it. Do what works for you!
Same! I have 3 failed Bullet Journals and the current one has become more and more simple over the last few months and I only use black and blue pens now and it works so much better for me!
@@Gabby-tp9iw that's the great thing about bullet journals! They're customizable for everyone's preferences and needs lol! It's awesome that you found what works for you though!!

I know that nobody will see this, but journaling helped me stop being an alcoholic! I didn't do bullet journaling, I just got a nice pen, and a nice journal, and I would fill it out for about an hour every night to fill in the time I would spend hitting the bottle. It eventually led to other hobbies like calligraphy, making music, and a full life without the crutch of booze. Anyways, if you're struggling out there, know that you're not alone, there is help out there, and art may be your ticket out! *end soapbox rant*
2020 is going to be my 4th year bullet journaling. My journals are not pretty, but every year it gets better. My goal for this year is to Make it mine, and dont compare it with others. Its my creative space and it does not need to be pretty. It only needs to work for your needs. Have hope people! 🧡
Rebella Darkstar couldn’t agree with you more. It’s all about productivity and making it work for you. It shouldn’t cause you stress or give you bad feelings!!
Rebella Darkstar I’ve been creative journaling for over two months, and bullet journaling for a month now. My world truly opened up when I stopped comparing myself to other people who bullet journal, and realised that I can do whatever the hell I want in my bullet journal. There’s no rules when it comes to bullet journaling, and people shouldn’t feel like there is rules. I do some of the more popular bullet journal entries of course, like a habit tracker and a mood tracker, but that’s because it works for me. I think I’ve been pretty lucky because I found myself pretty quickly with bullet journaling:)
Chloe says she doesn't know how people freehands their bullet journey then throughout the video continues to freehand lol. But for real though, love bullet journals.
I've been bullet-journaling for just over four years now, and I've found it really helpful. I use spreadsheet trackers mostly, and just have the journal for day to day things.
When you’re ready for a bujo that doesn’t ghost or bleed, check out Scribbles that Matter or Citrus Book Bindery. You want paper that’s 120gsm or higher.
Sometimes I don’t know what is bothering me, so I write down everything that is still lingering in the back of my head and suddenly it becomes clear. Thank god for journaling!
I love your bullet journal. It looks so realistic. A lot of UA-cam’s makes them so fancy and it overwhelms me because I could never get them as perfect. Yours was simple and helpful. Definitely an inspiration for me as a beginner
“I don’t understand how people freehand this stuff.” Same, Chloe, same Edit: Mildliners are so nice but they do have the problem of bleeding through *insert annoyed meme here* Love how consistent you are. Can’t wait to see your future bujo posts ^_^
I love her! She actually shows that artists have and do make mistakes, and actually encourage people to try do it, and not be upset when they make mistakes, cause she did too! Thank you so much for this!!
Sky life Gacha that’s the fun of bullet journaling they can be whatever you want and need and have the format you want so you can’t really fail at bujo if you keep using it
I’ve always wanted to do a bullet journal but everyone is so fancy that I get overwhelmed. Yours is so cute without being over the top that I feel like I can do it! Thank you!
Me: *watches tons of bullet journal vids thinking about starting one for 2020 Also me: they seem so coolll I wanna create one Future me: *puts it in a drawer and forgets to keep up with it*
Well thought I’d say this for people who like bullet journaling but can’t afford some of the nicer supplies a bujo is for you and only you it doesn’t have to be perfect. Mine looks like a hot mess with horrid hand writing. But since I started journaling this year it’s improved. So
I did my first bullet journal in 2017. It's been a journey, but I can't live without them anymore. It's so nice to see someone starting in the bullet journal word and seeing the things that I used to do wend I started. Just don't take your bullet too seriously and you'll see how amazing it is to have such a different vision of your own life. I truly wish that you start to love bullet journal the same amount that I do. ❤❤❤
Im kinda early and ilysm!! Bullet Journaling is so fun! Edit: OMG Chloe! thank you so much for liking my comment!! I love your artword and your the one who inspired me to start painting!
Love your videos :) I just think it‘s so funny how you have literally all the stationary some bullet journalists dream of or consider the absolute best things for bulletjournaling (the tombows and mildliners) :D
I’d love to see a video next year showing how you liked using your bullet journal. Like a review of your use of it: what would you change, are you going to do another one, etc
I’ve been bullet journaling for 3 years (the first year I did like 4 months) and it’s the frist ever time where I actually filled up a notebook. For my bullet journals are so much better for me because I LOVE the customization of it and it keeps me going and focused
Technically speaking (because everyone loves a UA-cam comment that starts that way), all you need for Bullet Journalling is any notebook and any writing implement. The key to making it work is having an index and numbered pages, and some kind of "future log" calendar if you aren't already using an app on your phone for that.
Starting a bullet journal: write your BEST handwriting and be really neat and take time Advanced bullet journal: I just put my pen on the paper and I don’t know what else to do but when I look down it looks like a chicken was dying and he wrote who killed him hahahahhaha
You actually inspired me to get a bullet journal. I didn't realize how they were used before, but I never really looked into it. I have like.. five journals on my desk all dedicated to different lists, a mood tracker, and whatnot, and it's just.. a pile of books with one or two pages filled out. I realize I could've done all that in a bullet journal. So, thank you
Last year I tried bullet journaling and I did until like March then I just didn’t have much time and was too lazy to make stuff neat. This year im trying it again. Wish me luck 😝
Yeah Chloe is doing bullet journaling ... waited for this video for so long 👊🏻 I kind of expected lots of bear illustrations from you on every page 🐻 I just love this video ! It’s really helpful to start bullet journaling, for another time (like the 50th try). It’s kind of horrible to see all those perfect bullet journaling UA-cam videos and than you can’t make it yourself 🙄
A bullet journal doesn't have to be perfect or pretty even though that's what most people show on the internet. The whole point is kind of to have a calender and all your notes you take at the same place. It needs to be practical not pretty.
I really hope bullet journaling helps you get organized, Chloe! I started keeping a bullet journal nearly a year ago, and when I was just beginning I wasn't certain I'd keep up with it. However, I absolutely love my journal now and it helps keep me on track every day!
Chloe I love you so so much! You inspire me to pursue art and I LOVE your personality you are my idol. Creep doing what your doing because your amazing!
Every time you went back to your index and added your page numbers I let out a little applause! I’m excited to see your journal and how it grows and changes etc.
Love you Chloe, just wanted to let you know that on the mood tracker page you didn’t add extra squares to the months with 30 days. Have a happy Christmas and new year x
I just started bullet journaling a few weeks ago! I would love to see you continue this, it is a very fun way to organize your life and thoughts. My recommendation is to look on pinterest for page ideas, but don't let anyone tell you what a bullet journal "needs" to be because everyones lifestyle is very different I like to make mine purposefully a little messy because... well that's how my life is, haha. Loved this video!! Love ya!
i started a bujo a couple of months ago and it’s even more of a mess than my life because i have no idea how to organize it and what to put in it, this video helped me immensely honestly, thank you chloe!
borkdogey then maybe a planner might be better for you. Bullet journaling is like a planner except you get to customize it to your own likings and needs. But not everyone has time so maybe a planner might work out better.
Definitely try a planner. It’s ready to go, no fuss. Otherwise I use my phone, iPhones have the reminders, notes, and calendars. To clarify: I use the weekly journal for the different types of trackers, and words a day.

If you want some good highlighters for bullet journaling, I definitely suggest the Zebra Midliners! Tombows are amazing as well! Just remember that your bullet journal might not turn out EXACTLY how you want in the beginning or randomly in the months, you'll get better at figuring out what you like as you go through the year! I just started digital bullet journaling because it's a bit quicker for me to sit down with my Ipad and bullet journal and not make a huge mess that bullet journaling outside of digitally did
I'm happy you're starting a bullet journal, its such a good way to keep organised and check in with yourself, as well as just making a record of your life. I would suggest you add a future log somewhere in case you want to keep track of important dates throughout the year, unless you're already doing that elsewhere
A tip I learned about that proved pretty helpful with pens/markers that bleed a lot but you really want to use, use a white out tape dispenser over the spot you want the color on and then mark over it.
a quick tip for freehanding, pull straight lines toward you and use your whole arm in the motion. its never gonna be perfect but it helps a lot. also a white gel pen can go a long way when it comes to fixing little mistakes. im so excited to see what you do with the bujo system!
Chloe: Dropshadows! Everyone: She’s been watching AmandaRachLee! Amanda[RachLe]e. DID NO ONE NOTCIE SHE HAS RACHEL IN HER NAME??? Bye, imma watch the video.
This makes me want to try again with one, I soon forgot when I tried in, um, 2017. I love the pastel pens. Those Papermate pens are still around, amazing, my grandparents had them in the 80s. Not in purple, though. Also, acrylic paint, you’ve got me thinking of trying it more.
Perhaps, but it is her first bullet journal and it is a learning process! We all learn how we prefer things and can adjust to those preferences because it is a bullet journal :)
Yeah Chloe! It never hurts to try and organize, but if you find yourself falling behind, do not worry! Just pick up where you left off and continue on. It does not have to be perfect it just has to help you be better. Hey how about an idea of showing us in video or class form how you put your bear book together? I am hoping my copy arrives soon! I know Kasey Golden wants to do a book maybe you can inspire her too! Hang In there, feel better and thank you.
Same here, I needed to bring it with me everywhere to remember to use it and that was such a pain in the ass. I ended up downloading a bullet journal app called 'Journal It' and it's not bad.

Just remember that your bullet journal might not turn out EXACTLY how you want in the beginning or randomly in the months, you'll get better at figuring out what you like as you go through the year! I just started digital bullet journaling because it's a bit quicker for me to sit down with my Ipad and bullet journal and not make a huge mess that bullet journaling outside of digitally did
Me- hey! this video came back in my rrcommended
Chloe- 2020 is gonna be better than ever!!!
Me- NOPE
I'm happy you're starting a bullet journal, its such a good way to keep organised and check in with yourself, as well as just making a record of your life. I would suggest you add a future log somewhere in case you want to keep track of important dates throughout the year, unless you're already doing that elsewhere
Me: starts a bullet journal for class
Teacher: *laughs maniacally*
A tip I learned about that proved pretty helpful with pens/markers that bleed a lot but you really want to use, use a white out tape dispenser over the spot you want the color on and then mark over it.
a quick tip for freehanding, pull straight lines toward you and use your whole arm in the motion. its never gonna be perfect but it helps a lot. also a white gel pen can go a long way when it comes to fixing little mistakes. im so excited to see what you do with the bujo system!
When your early and you don’t have any funny comments to read 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
This really inspired me to keep a bullet journal for 2020 studying cause I’m definitely gonna need it for grade 12 aaaaaa
I started bullet journaling in November, I love it so much! 😊 I make videos about them too ✨

Will you do a 2020 plan with me? I would like to see it! I submitted to your channel.
Megane Sergerie Aww thank you! 🥰 I’m not sure if I will have the time to do a 2020 plan with me but I will do a January one 😊
You did a great job. I have never done a bullet journal yet. It’s more creative than just buying a planner. Your Christmas poem was perfect.
I feel like she's not leaving enough room for anything.
Perhaps, but it is her first bullet journal and it is a learning process! We all learn how we prefer things and can adjust to those preferences because it is a bullet journal :)
@@hannahkatherine262 True. And plenty of paper left in there.
I tried bullet journals once... didn’t last long....
Same here, I needed to bring it with me everywhere to remember to use it and that was such a pain in the ass. I ended up downloading a bullet journal app called 'Journal It' and it's not bad.
Uhmm yeah I only used 7 pages. And then boom the end hahaha
I wanted to start at the beginning of this year. Im still "on my way to buy a bujo". Js.
i’ve tried this before I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL AND HOW MUCH ITS GROWN OVER 2 YEARS
