codafett Here’s something that makes no sense in The Goblet Of Fire:If the Triwizard Tournament is supposed to be entertaining for the spectators, then what is whole point of staring at the pitch black water and then starting at the bushes?
My friend loves these books. With the way JK Rowling describes her universe you’d think she was the ruler of that universe. It seems more like poetry than novels.
I agree. a lot of people say that her writing is full of info dumps, but I think the way she describes everything so deeply makes it much easier to fall in love with the Harry Potter universe.
@@brunocarrillo410 they are heavily based on LOTR and the hobbit and the silmarillion. And jk Rowling never read the hobbit or the silmarillion and only read LOTR once as a teenager.
I read all the books when I was 17, but by the time Order of Phoenix came out, I was like woah. This is better than a movie. Such a strong writer she is no matter the backlash in politics with the lgbt community. She’s an amazing writer of our generation
Those were my friends during that time when I didn't have any :( I recently re-read them again because I can't see any of my girl mates during lockdown.
Amazing how they grasped our imagination and became a huge part of our childhood...even when watching fantastic beast 2 when they revisited Hogwarts...it made me feel like I was returning home
They have been my only friends when I was a child. the place where I used to read them was on my own bed. with a warm light, in winter. So cosy! growing up, many of my peers grew out of HP, while I stuck to it. I just entered that world every time I opened a book; even if I was only in my bedroom. I wished I could have never come out form there..

I appreciate your liking the book, but dear friend, aren't you slightly late at declaring its popularity? It already is one of the post popular elements in all of the universe!
I'm rereading the books - I moved to a new state and need something familiar, also it's fall -- and I forgot how enjoyable the books are as a reader. They're not reinventing the wheel, though. If anything they're taking many different wheels and mixing them all together, but they're imaginative and whimsical. I wish I could've been involved in the fan fervor during the 90's, though, because that era looked so fun!
This 1999 story of J.K Rowling would have to be my personal favorite Literature one from Sunday Morning in fact it makes me think of reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in my class as a high school freshman and seeing the film from 2001
Ron called her annoying in the first book. And indisputably both boys were annoyed by her in book one if you read it. In fact, they were both annoyed by her in book two and Harry was VERY annoyed with Hermione in book 3 when she got his broomstick taken away from him! Hermione was annoying, its not a big deal!
J.K Rowling and the world of Harry Potter are great. I Love J.K Rowling and Harry Potter! I am now about to start reading the series for the second time, and it feels great! J.K Rowling is a very talented, imaginative, creative writer-I just wish that she would admit that she got ideas from watching Bewitched! Many People that have watched Bewitched and read Harry Potter know the two great works have too much in common for it to be the casual Great-Minds-Think -Alike coincidence. . Samantha, a witch, married Darrin, a mortal(Muggle), but does not tell him that she is a witch until after they were married. .They have a child. Samantha explains to Darrin, that because she is a witch, but he is mortal, their daughter Tabitha is a half-blood. . Endora is always appearing and disappearing (Apparating and Disapparating) inside the Steven's house. .Clara is always coming down the fireplace(traveling by Floo Powder!) .Moving photos are seen in various episodes. . In a few episodes, we actually see the magical worlds, a witches' council, a school of magic, and shops that sell potion ingredients, spell books and broomsticks. .Endora calls Dr. Bombay-Samantha's witch doctor-and he gets very angry at her-because she caught him during his Wizard Chess Tournament, playing chess with live chess pieces! J.K Rowling won't admit that she watched Bewitched and was inspired by it. I am even certain that, the reason she invented the synonym to mortal, Muggle, rather than using the word Mortal is that she did not want readers to notice. But nothing gets by me! I noticed anyway, and so did plenty of others! J.K Rowling needs to admit that she was inspired by Bewitched-after all, inspiration is a good thing! Being inspired by something you Love is not something to hide, it is something to share. When one great classic inspires another, that is something to be proud of. Her inspiration is a great honor to Bewitched, it introduces us to the next generation of magic families and children, and it keeps the magical stories coming. All of this something to be very proud of, something to admit with pride!
I haven’t read the books but I need to... but what I was wondering was, I know in the films it starts to get a bit darker as the films progress, and a lot of people die at the end. But was that portrayed differently in the books that children read? Or were they not as scared by it?
It's all in there. I think the kids didnt care much. They took it for what it was and still enjoyed it. Even you get kids like myself who was born after the first two books were published still read the later books with excitment
