@@ultrademigod He's in the Comic Relief spoof "Harry Potter and the Secret Chamberpot of Azerbaijan". He's very funny. ua-cam.com/video/NsKvghdZg_E/v-deo.html
This has to be my favourite CR sketch of all time. I remember rolling around on the floor in hysterics when I first watched it. Casting the shortest man in British light entertainment Ronnie Corbett (RIP) as Hagrid is hilarious. I just love it. The funniest thing ever.
As an American I appreciate this Brit talent so much! I adore Maggie Smith, and Alison Steadman's portrayal is so fun! (Also, the absence of Hollywood plastic freaky faces is very appreciated.) I'm 74 yrs old and never watched HP movies, barely even know the story, but this barrage of talent and humor had me captivated and giggling the whole way. THANKS FOR POSTING. 😂❤
Yes. That is one of the many great things about British TV and film. They use actors and represent a range of ages and facial configurations, as opposed to models who may be able to act.
I love Jeremy Irons but he was awful in that Dungeons and Dragons movie. I always thought he must have known the movie was crap early in the shoot so didn't bother.
Truly brilliant. I’ll never be able to watch the remaining episodes without thinking of this bit. French and Saunders have been my favorites for almost 30 years.
Harry Potter? Very good wig this time, much better length, more natural swing. Sinister good looks, better cufflinks. Elongates the fingers, my idea, slow blink, god i'm gorgeous......
Miranda Richardson playing Emma Watson playing Hermione is the best thing I've ever seen. She's got the bratty overacting and over confidence perfectly.
Alan Rickman (RIP) played Hans Gruber in the first Die Hard film before later playing Severus Snape in all Harry Potter films. Jeremy Irons played Hans Gruber's brother Simon Gruber in the third film Die Hard with a Vengeance before later playing Severus Snape in this Harry Potter Comic Relief spoof. Wow, what a connection between Harry Potter and the Die Hard films... and also the Gruber family and Severus Snape.
This is the funniest spoof of Harry Potter ever. I love the whole behind the scenes jokes. Especially when the actors haven’t read the books and resent having to do the movie.
And a lot of it was based on reality, because they either knew people working on the films or had been in them like Dawn. Nearly all the older British actors referred to it as “The Harry Potter Pension Scheme” and spent time comparing the catering to other jobs they’d done. And there really was a rivalry between casts of Lord of the Rings and HP because HP was filming in rainy and cold Scotland, whereas LotR was filming in sunny New Zealand with a much bigger budget 😂
Dumbledore stating “I’ve never read the books” is actually unfortunately very spot on as Michael Gambon did not read the boos, and this was aired right when they were filming prisoner of Azkaban…… How very eerie!
It would be wrong to claim that either Dawn French or Jennifer Saunders were "underrated"; but Jen _really_ deserves to be mentioned more when people talk about impersonations she has a legitimately *uncanny* ability to embody everything about the person she is portraying, from the absolute personification to the most absurd caricature, in speech, expression and action I honestly believe she is one of the greatest comedy talents of all time
Miranda Richardson from Black Adder is so good at playing strange women. Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French are always funny. Jeremy Irons is great as always.
I first saw Miranda as Queen Elizabeth in Black Adder and have been in love with her since then "I may be weak and feeble woman, but I got a heart and stomach of a concrete elephant!"

I know that was hilarious made me laugh. 😂😂😂 TBH I thought Trevor was more scarier than Voldemort. I love how he stayed in character, at the beginning. When he said 'Hello darling' and 'that's right sweetheart', his famous words to Little Mo.
Makes me wonder when Dawn French was cast as the Fat Lady portrait, as Prisoner of Azkaban came out a year after this sketch. And of course Miranda Richardson went on to be Rita Skeeter.
I’m American who loves British comedy, lots of us grew up with Monty Python and later found shows like WILTY etc. on UA-cam so I’ve only ever seen Jonathan Ross or Ronnie on those panel shows. Jonathan as a host 😂 and Ronnie is just hilarious I understand the hype. These 2 as Ron and Harry are hilarious too 😂😂😂
I love how they got all of the actors from the Harry Potter films to do this for Red Nose Day . All of them were game for a laugh and joined in because they knew it was for charity ( even though really it was taking the mick out of Harry Potter a bit ! ) Fantastic , well done guys ! And R.I.P. Maggie Smith , her acting here was fabulous as ever .
Very Ironic (No pun intended) that Alan played Hans Gruber in Die Hard and Alan went on to play his brother in the third film. He really impressed me here as Snape.
