  • In this video + animation we will introduce you to a basic electrical component called "Capacitor". To explain the basics of a capacitor we will start with how it is constructed (conductive plates, dielectrics, anode, cathode, terminals, etc.). Then we will go through the physics of a capacitor. Also, we will cover few important basic equations. Finally, we will talk about different types of capacitors and some of their applications. If you enjoy this video, please don’t forget to hit the like and subscribe button to our channel for more upcoming videos.
The different type of capacitors we will cover in this video are:
    1. Ceramic Disc Capacitor
    2. SMD Ceramic Capacitor
    3. Electrolytic Capacitor
    4.Tantalum Capacitor

This is the best video I have seen in capacitors on UA-cam, you actually included some formulae which is good.
But sadly, this video only treats capacitors as charge storage devices and they are far more than that.
You have omitted formula on the reactance of the capacitor, and also on the charging/discharging curve, though you did depict it graphically.
No video ever covers the reactance formula, and accordingly no video describes the operation of the capacitor in filtering, which is serious immission to the electronics amateurs who are wanting to genuinely learn about electronics.

We are really glad you liked the video. Yes, you are correct there are two more functions for capacitors in electronic applications other than energy storage:
      1) Removing noise (e.g. high pass filters and low pass filters).
      2) Reduce voltage pulsations / Keep the voltage at the same level in a circuit.
We were planning to make a separate video for "Low pass filters" and "High pass filter".
However, you brought up a good point about the reactance formula. We will add this to our list for our "Basic of Electronics" video and will probably have a section added explaining the Impedance and Reactance equations for both capacitors and inductors.
We appreciate your useful comments and by providing us with them we will try to improve our next videos. So please check our next videos and let us know your comments.
      Thanks!

Add capacitor's name when talking about each type. see time 4:48 as example.
