I may have left a comment before, but now that I know more about Heritage boots, I can’t help but say you did their (soon to be former) store justice. Such a nice job by Kimber. The Mavens are so talented and well thought out in their designs and styles. They are unafraid to go where no boot company dares to go anymore.

That "French-Toe", style...is awesome. I have neve been a big fan of fat, square-toed boots, or big, round-toe boots. I even prefer the snip-toe, over those square and round toe looks. However...I am aware of how much more comfortable the larger toe boxes are. But man...that french toe...just looks sleek. Almost looks like a high end English made shoe from John Lobb, or Crockett and Jones, or even Edward Green. I am surprised more boot manufacturers don't make a french toe look. That style is a very expensive, (and attractive) look in Europe. Anyway...these boots at this store are absolutley stunning. I live in a north suburb of Houston, so the next time I am in Austin...I am definitely headed to Heritage Boot Company to see what I can see....
If I walked into a boot shop that had, "DO NOT TOUCH BOOTS", written on their shelves, I'd turn around and walk the Hell out. There's plenty of GREAT bootmakers in Texas. There's no reason to put up with that nonsense.
Maybe they had incidents i.e. shoplifters, someone touching the boots after a trip to KFC. If I was considering buying one of their overpriced reproduction boots I would want to know why I can’t touch.

This is the sexiest boot collection I have seen ! But there is one in the corner at about eye level which is gloss black with red tops in an emblem design. Is that available for men ?
My dream boot would be the Rough Water french toe shark boot. I don't think my wife would ever be on board for getting a boot that expensive but a man can dream.

The big problem with heritage boots is lasts. Seems like they use the same last for men and women. These lasts work for women's feet for sure, but with 'men's' models the toe upturned way to much, never ever seen on vintage models (40's - 60's boots), they look ridiculous, something european wannabe like sendra boots. Hideous. And same shitty instep, not pronounced at all, just like on other modern boots (justin, tony lama, dan post...). In conclusions herritage boots passed some designs for cheap mexican manufacturing wishing they could recreate classic pee-wee boots. But we had what we had :( For the price seems like the best option order custom boots from small maker, at least your boots will build on proper last.
