Well Gladys had severe liver disease. I was a child but I remember it. She had a severely bad liver so of course she died from a heart attack not ''heart trouble''. Lisa Marie did a lot of drugs, and lost 50 pounds very quickly just before she died, her darling mother should have noticed the girl was at death's door at that ridiculous premiere and immediately had her hospitalized !! instead of praising yet another Elvis imitator.They say L M couldn't even stand w/out help that night.

Destined to Die Young is a book by Sally Hoedel that exhaustively examines Elvis' poor health and genetics. Unfortunately, Elvis was very unwell for the last few years of his life and died in 1977. The book goes over his hospital admissions and medical conditions from birth to death. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the likely cause of Elvis' death.

This began when he was in the army, and the army gave soldiers pills to keep them awake on night watches. Elvis had a sleeping problem to begin with, so that when this all began. He knew nothing about pills prior to being in the army.

It is true about the 60's and 70's and prescription drugs. At that time many people would casually go to a doctor and get Vallium for anxiety, sleeping pills, diet pills, and pain killers. Many people were on these medications and thought nothing about it. Addiction to these medications was not well known by even the doctors prescribing them.

The medical examiner IS a licensed dr. It's the coroner that is voted in and doesn't have to be. Coroner doesn't do autopsies unless happens to qualify for Medical axaminer as well
Autopsies are not done on Natural Deaths, unless requested by Family. Notable deaths always get an autopsy unless the family says no. Unless it is not natural, they are not required. Do you even know what an actual autopsy entails????
Apparently Vernon had everything sealed until so many years after his death. I think that date is actually approaching. That info comes from a member of Elvis's Memphis Mafia.

There were very strange coincidences with Elvis's death who was really into numerology:
#1 Elvis died at age 42.
His mother died at age 42.
#2 Elvis died in August 16th.
His mother died August 14.
Elvis's opening theme inconcert was the 2001 A soace odyssey.
If you add the 8th month of August, the 16th day and the year 1977 it comes to 2001.
Gladys Presley died at the age of 46. She was born April 25, 1912 and died August 14, 1958. Gladys was four years older than Vernon and lied about her age. The rest of your post makes no sense.

You'd think if Elvis wanted to fake his own death, he wouldn't have picked dying on the toilet as an official, public death scenario.

Elvis died and the autopsy was made private by Vernon Presley not the state. It says heart arrythmia. He had a large colon blockage which caused this just like lisa had a small bowel obstruction. So sad the proper tests werent run on time. 😢
He also had a twisted cologn. And according to Charlie Hodge it was discovered he had already had 3 previous small heart attacks.
@@TheFarmerfitz I didn't want to go into detail. He had a spastic mega colon. It was painful and twisted from time to time. The heart showed no evidence of any damage according to the cardiac physician present at autopsy. I believe the previous attacks were due to his mega colon, and other disorders that weren't even diagnosed yet as medical advances we have today weren't available. He was my r3rd cousin on my Dad and his Mama's side. I've heard all the trickle down gossip from family, the mafia, the media, friends people on social media who think they know the most, so ... I'm really curious to know who all has been telling the truth and knew facts if the autopsy is ever released. Vernon had it sealed 50 years but as it was a private autopsy the family is the one who would make the choice in 2027. If you would like to see the drs discuss it I might can find the link for you.

Why?That's my indignation!!! Why wait 50 years for the real death certificate to be released? The story of Elvis' life is a mystery, even in relation to the death of his twin, Jesse, and perhaps the existence of other brothers. How can a person have two concerts a day, for a week, that require so much physical and vocal effort? Is weird! Furthermore, it was not his body that was in the coffin on 8/16/1977!

That def was EAP in the casket. He had been laying on his face and was swollen.
Tennessee law allows them to he sealed for 50 years if family chooses. Vernon did and that's the maximum number of years it can occur. It's not a law to seal them. Just the amount of years allowed

I will never understand how Elvis could do all the moves he did to have all the things wrong supposedly wrong with him! He never seemed out of breath. I have a rare form of anemia and just walking to the kitchen from the bedroom, I'm gasping for air. Also if you've ever had constipation you are in pain. I do not believe Elvis died when they said and could very well still be alive.

Look up Elvis’ last, live performance video on UA-cam..he looks to be having trouble breathing and is sweating quite profusely..he looks pale and grayish in color and overweight..also, he looks bloated in the face as from illness and not from extra weight or perhaps, a side effect of all the prescription drugs that he was on..he is at the piano singing and a couple of people are actually helping to hold him up..his singing and playing is still very moving and beautiful..

Pain medicine - narcotics constipate a person . Internal pressure when a person tries to defficate put a strain on the heart causing arrhythmia , heart attack . Straining without success can kill anyone . The meds contributed to his twisted colon . They are hiding the toxicology results - at the time death from drugs were hidden to protect reputations .
He had several doctors…I think the medical part of his life/health was kept a secret out of respect for him and, doctor/patient privilege/laws.

I responded two weeks ago, but I guess it didn't post here for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure Elvis died on Aug. 16, 1977, but it's what took place in the weeks after and went unnoticed to this day by probably only a handful of people ( including myself now )

Very simple answer. The autopsy was sealed to protect Elvis's public image. Everyone around him knew he was heavily medicated, and at the time he was one of the most beloved entertainers in the world. Vernon wanted to protect that. All of the iconic actors and entertainers public images were that way back then..they didn't have instant news and social media to let the dirt out like today. Nowadays, it's immediate character assassination! As I said in an earlier post, Elvis was just a man with an extreme gift of talent, but he was just that..a man. The image that the fans and public saw was just a fancy wrapper that everyone was impressed by. I'm not trying to downplay his significance, I have been and always will say that Elvis was a musical hero of mine, but perception often clouds reality.. reality is, aside from the money, the glitz, and the talent, Elvis was no different than the homeless drug addict down the street who may posses some extraordinary gift too, but just didn't get the same breaks..

Im not leaning any direction on if Elvis died in 77 or not.... But I also heard that none of Elvis' costumes had been picked out or resized prior to his tour like usual.... Leading to more fuel about him planning his own death to escape his life of being high profile.

So Elvis showed multiple signs of a heart attack the night he died. He was short of breath which is why they cut the racket all match short. He went to the dentist the night he died because of severe naw pain, the dentist couldn’t find anything to cause it. Jaw or arm pain is a sign of a heart attack. Lastly ginger said when they were laying in the bed she felt his heart beating erratically but she assumed he was nervous since the tour started the next day. His blood test post death showed elevated proteins that show when there is a heart attack.

The schedule Elvis had while he was in Vegas was a very heavy one, Parker had him performing in Vegas the shows were morning afternoon and night and also midnight shows Elvis would often take drugs to help him through probably to help him stay awake , sleep and also at one point he was given drugs to help him get through a flu that he gotten ,remember Parker was always on Elvis's back to peform if he was taking all these prescription drugs it was to appease his life ,im sure Elvis realised that he wasnt in good health, but the solution for everybody was to give him more drugs, the feeding of drugs to him was horrific and so he depended on them he didnt know anymore what was good for him cause everybody around him were leeches!!!! No body cared about him anymore all that Bastard Parker and all cared about was ELVIS MAKING MONEY FOR THEM!!! IN THE END WAS ELVIS MURDERD YES , BY HIS OWN PPL !!!! 😠

My parents were HUGE fans of Elvis. Though I have no real memory of it, they apparently took me to an Elvis concert here when I was about 3 y/o. I guess the fan status came to me through osmosis or something, but I’ve always been fascinated by the man and his career.
I was listening to the radio in my room in ‘77 when they DJ interrupted for the news bulletin that he had died, yet somehow I never ‘really’ bought that he had passed. So I’ve always looked into the theories surrounding it. Thinking more of some than others, but I’ve enjoyed the ‘quest’.
My Uncle, knowing I was a fan, told me about how he had periodically worked on Elvis’ gardening & landscaping crews at Graceland. And how once Elvis saw you enough to recognize you, he would talk to you. Small talk mostly. My Uncle would always say that Elvis was one of the most effortlessly genuine people he’d ever been around. “He never seemed to be ‘trying to be a nice guy’, he simply was.”
On the ‘Elvis & Nixon’ part of the story, judging from what I’ve always heard and read, he actually did just what you said. He received that there in the Oval Office. But the Bureau of Narcotics (now DEA) badge that he received was a more generalized badge. They took the time to personalize one & make up actual agency credentials & had an agent in Memphis come to Graceland to exchange them.
Adding to that… Elvis brought Nixon a gift too. He brought a commemorative Colt single action - army pistol and presented it to Nixon. Which through the US Secret Service into a tizzy, since they didn’t catch it & had allowed a gun to be brought into the Oval Office. I don’t know where that Colt ended up (probably the Nixon library, but it’d be worth a veritable fortune on the market… even if it weren’t connected to Elvis.
I’ve always joked with family and friends that Elvis is the night manager of a Stuckey’s in Talladega, Alabama, but jokes aside I can understand why he might want to slip away. And I really wouldn’t have put it past him to do just that.
That was not Al Srada! It takes a lot more than a bad photo to make a claim like that. Black hair and look-alike sunglasses do not hide the shape of the chin, mouth, or nose. It could have been a cousin trying to use the family genes and sunglasses and hair color, but all in all, it has rhe dimensions of Elvis' features.

I have the newspaper from the day he died from the local paper. My grandpa and grandma knew his kids (went to school together and was going to meet him, mutual friends) and lived in the same neighborhood
Yes, that picture was fake, not sure why they did that. They shouldn't have any photo of him while he lay in casket. Many funeral does not do those things.

With all the medications Elvis was taking there were many side effects. It's possible there were underlying conditions which contributed to his death . RIP Elvis and Lisa Marie.

I was always interested how quickly the funeral was organised. Im sure there are variations in organising a funeral in the US but the amount of cars and flowers and fans. The guests, the music, his original resting place (lets be honest if he had remained there would Gracelands be so prominent and successful). Then of course all the paperwork to allow his burial. Plus the question marks about cause of death. Never exhumed his body as far as i know. No not pleasant but also evidence in a court. Id like to think he escaped the world of fame to give time to himself and family. Elvis had many homes scattered about and the money to buy more. Whatever happened he will always be a legend and icon.
I noticed the same thing 2 days after death how was a funeral of that magnitude planned and organized so fast.the funeral to me was preplanned.autopsy done very fast and funeral 2 days later? Something about this doesnt sit right with me.

A point Charlie Hodge raised is that yes, Elvis did have all those medications prescribed to him. But he also said that the media, didn't tell the rest of the story. While on Tour, Dr Nick was thee Dr for the whole entire entourage. Dr. Nick could only prescribe medications in the state he was licensed in. So prior to any tour. He would have to take along everything that everyone "Might" need. This was all prescribed to Elvis for income tax reasons.
