I just made this repair on my wife's iPad 3. Thank you iFixit for providing a means for us to repair our stuff! And you're so right Gwendolyn, iPad repairs are no joke, but if you take your time you can get through it successfully.
As a woman who fixes iPads and iPhones, I love that you have intelligent women in your videos!
so what do you have to do if you did break the connector for the lcd...
and should i unplug the battery
May sound a bit silly but I search this video because I try to find a way to clean the fungi that grows inside my iPad's front panel. I've had a "trained" (but may not be "certified") technician to replace the battery on my iPad. It's either he failed to put back the panel perfectly that humid condition around me makes it possible to grow fungi OR the panel might be exposed with open air during the replacement process, long enough to make the bacteria gathered and then "trapped" inside the panel. Now the small dots really annoys me :(
I want to replace the glass. Is there any way just to replace the glass?
Can ya please do a series on the ps vita
The best.
I was tried 4th gen ipad. no gap right side.
and opening plastic tool was broken.
I just can't find that first gap...
God, she's lovely.
I tried, but the glass was too broken, and 99 dollar wasted...
NOT a 3rd gen!
