      I'd much rather see him do this and not even make the money back from ads, than have that 270 just go to rent or in the bank and do a 10 minute gaming video, not that I don't enjoy Boris' commentary on games, this is just more slavic, and it's a slav channel

    That was so TASTEFUL! I wanted to see other "samovar" videos, and yours is at the top of the list BY FAR! Here in the states some people have these but it's usually a decoration, I've met people who forgot how it works, it's just a symbol of hospitality. So, Boris, you have brought some light into the darkness! Here I have the technology and the tea, but not the snow. When it gets cold here (not every year) it's really a treat to get out one of these and put charcoal or pinecones or something in there and boil up, and drink tea all day. I learned about this from Iranian people, who are particular about tea, and seem to think that this is the true way, especially if the small teapot is sitting in the steam from the boiler. People who want to follow in the Way of Boris might be glad to know that it's fairly easy to buy one of these online, or sometimes in Persian markets. I have gotten several economical rugged stainless steel ones that were made in Turkey, you can find this on eBay. They're really light and efficient and boil quickly just using little sticks. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration! This is still part of the Boris economy recipe series I think, even if the Samovar is expensive, a pound of tea supposedly makes three hundred cups, so it's very cheap even if it's good tea.

    • @0d138
      @0d138 4 роки тому +5

      But now she's gone, and I have no idea what happened to all of her items.

    When I was 13, I found a samovar, a small one, in the garage of our relative's house. They said to put it away and forget it, but I found a hatchet, prepared the wood, and started to heat it up from scratch. The tea we made that day was the tastiest in my life. C дымком :3
    Now that I think of it, I should buy one for our cottage house!
