Boris: *takes a chocolate-filled industrial cold crepe, smears it in mayonnaise and downs it with a 45% alcohol undetermined beverage like it's the logical thing to do*
Also Boris: "Ahhh... French cuisine"
Yeah man, deadass French cuisine 🤣
That alcohol is anise-flavored, quite the same as greek ouzo, and one's supposed to dilute it with water before drinking (water ratio is subject to many quarrels) xD
I'll never understand how my fellow comrades drink this, water or not.
as far as I can tell, that's sour cream, not mayonnaise
What the fuck do you mean undetermined beverage, pastis is the real national drink, not wine
@@Korgann
what kind of wild goose figured they should serve diluted spirits?
Food is food.
My man rawdogged like 3 dishes whiteout heating them, massive respects.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh man I had to recover from a laughing fit after hearing, "rat flavored water" that's what I love about this channel
😂 and him yelling at French drivers
that's the usual taste of pastis anyway (it's usually cut with waters, not drunk pure)
That was an S-tier "putain de merde" here. I grant you an honorary French citizenship.
Right? That was beautiful
I was looking for that comment
And the Santé !
As a French, I cry seeing him drink pastis pur. And as a former Lorraine, I cry that he ate the quiche cold T-T
Same here
Is it 1 AM ? Maybe
Is it time for Boris ? Certainly
We’ll always be watching no matter the hour 😎
2am for me, no matter we watching boris
It’s 8am
It’s 9 and I usually go to sleep at 12 so this is wonderful I got plenty of time practically all day
Правильно, почувствуй себя русским😅
For me it was 1am twice because of daylight savings.
Between the undiluted pastis, the cold quiche, and the crêpe with cream I was laughing my ass off😂
Now that I think of it though, the supermarket crêpes are pretty shit, really dry
Mayonnaise chorizo, never seen that one.
@@Grim_Bud yes, and he misses the opportunity of putting mayon on the "oeufs en gelée"
@@Grim_Budhorrible
@@liamobrien9451 they are shit, but i'd still down a bag after class when the wallet is dry
Never had I expected to hear Boris say "Putain de merde" in a fairly great accent. Life is full of surprises.

@@henrykhenrykowski2745 Yep, thanks. He also says "Santé" a few seconds later.
This madman is subjecting himself to French cuisine for our entertainment.
Mad respect.
Sad he didn't sample the snails.
he did, check previous part debil
@@Molon_Labe1776 western spy ? he did say they tasted like dirt, in the last video
nice profile btw
@idjtoal I didn't know he ate them. I gotta find the video now. No, fellow comrade. Blyat. Do svidaniya.
@@Molon_Labe1776 snails don't taste like anything except the sauce you put on them so it's not as crazy as it sounds. They also don't feel slimy or strange because they boil the hell out of it to get rid of all the weird stuff, plus farmed snails are fed a specific diet so they also won't taste bad because they ate trash or whatever.
It's just a big meh.
When you said "rat flavored water" I spit out my coffee. Thanks for the travel tips. Счастливого пути, Борис.
Im wondering if he means an actual taste of rat, I've owned pet rats for years and every owner will tell you they clean themselves more that cats do, very clean animals. Also bonus fact: A group of rats is called a Mischeif :)
Well, you're not supposed to drink pastis pure. Dilute it in 5 to 6 volumes of water, and it becomes drinkable. If you don't do it, be prepared for a VERY STRONG anise flavor
Can we get an actual French person to verify if this is what a local may eat in a semi regular to regular basis?
yeaaaaaaah not at all no.
nah some of the stuff yes but other no like this mistery jelly meat this fried chicken from the supermarket
Not at all lmao, just thinking of the mix of things he ate with some pure Ricard (the alcohol should be drink with water) makes my stomach hurt
I am a local, yes, you can get these products (I know all of them)… If you want. But there sure are better things you can find XD
Harry’s sliced bread is pretty good though, that’s the one I buy every week.
I have the same bread, mustard, cheese, blinis and crepes at home, the cakes are pretty common and the prepared meals are really common to, Ricard ( the alcohol ) is well known but most of the time only drinkers by 50yo southern guys. The uncommon stuff was the crab and this strange mix of meat.
the way boris talks in french (tone) feels like he's already french XD
As a french, I'm both mortified ans proud, that's peculiar xD
Great job Boris!
I am going to France in two months, and your videos are everthing a Slav needs to know about this country.
Just drink Ricard with water pls
And don't put cream on a sugar crêpe pls and heat what needs to be heaten
Two uploads in two days?
Great to see, I hope things are better for you than they once were Boris!
Dear Mr Boris, this is just to let you know that you REAAAAAALLY should put water with Ricard (not to much, or you will drown it.) and I fear you may have tasted the worst version of the Quiche Lorraine you could find my friend ! THank you for visiting, hope you had a great time !
go like to make this go up
That sounds about right 😂
As a French, I confirm that some of the stuff you bought is consumed in the country on a semi-regular basis. Restez Cheeki-Breeki !
French baguette here
For anyone who wants to try Ricard/Pastis like Boris : you should mix 1 part pastis with 5 parts water
The drink turns a cloudy yellow and is much more delicious (also less strong)
So just like greek ouzo or similar anise liquors? Hmm... But Ricard is really something new for me. Didn't know that Southern France has so many in common with Balkans. Definitely have to try.
5 parts of water for 1 part of liquor ? You're drowning it
yep it is similar!@@DmitriyNartov
As a frenchman i am happy
When we finished touring the House of Seven Gables, the rain ended. We wandered some more and ended up having to run back to the train station. I thought we messed up by staying in Salem, but I had so much fun that afternoon.
For those actually wondering what Ricard tastes like, it's supposed to be diluted in about 3 times its volume of cold water, and it's kinda like a lightly spiced aniseed sirup.
If you drink it undiluted it's just too much sugar and flavor of aniseed and licorice. Would feel kind of like Jägermeister but with a different flavor
You're supposed to mix Ricard with a little water and an ice cube dear Boris :)
0:18 that "putain de merde" was legit.
You can stay.
We love you Boris, those who care will be here. Keep pressing forward.
Boris swearing in French was something I didn’t knew I needed XD Merci camarade!
1:50 ”Nu, blin!” Nu, blin, indeed, Boris. Nu, blin, indeed. I see, what you did, there 😅.
As a Frenchman I wouldn't exactly say the prepared goods in carefour or any grocerie stores to begin with are good lol
but aye, hope ya still kinda enjoyed it there despite the hell that it is imo
Dude he didn't heat any of it

Cheap meal company: ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?
Always a pleasure to watch Boris review store food of a country. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing these videos with us!
Borris saying "Putain de merde"
made my day
Imagine walking down the street and then hearing a guy with a strong russian accent cough from drinking alcohol on a balcony
Boris, pastis (Ricard is the brand of the pastis) is supposed to be consumed diluted in water, like a syrup. It becomes a cloudy shade of light yellow
as a basic french I’m happy to see videos of Boris about my country
Boris- I’ve been watching you since 2015, during your earlier years, and while I may not have been a consistent viewer- Witnessing you hit your highest highs, and lowest lows has been a wild ride.
But I couldn’t be happier to see you living the true Slav life- (managing to pull yourself out of economic struggle, and get to live a more comfortable life)
Here’s to you- and many more years with you- Братан.
La France ! Un super pays, content de t'accueillir :)

@@Just-Some-HeliumI mean, he went to some of the most expensives places, except Saint-Tropez and Paris.
And also yeah he didn't take the best things to try but that's fine because some of our food can be weird, or let's put it that way : Since it's another culture, well you might not like the taste etc and you'd be right
As a "Chef de Partie" a 30€ meal is cheap, usually the menus can go from like 20€ from the cheapest restaurant to I think 100€+ for a michelin star restaurant
@@Just-Some-Heliumyou think 30€ is Expensive ? Oh the delusion !
Cheers to Boris for uploading the follow up video so quickly!
Hahah Boris finally tasting Ricard is just cherry on top ❤❤
Nu Pogodi! I looked this up last time Boris mentioned it - do suggest!
Ce "pùta!n de m3rde" m'a surpris positivement !
THIS! This is the real reason I watch the country reviews
I feel like Boris could be a wise guru or sage, living high on some snow covered peak, offering wisdom to anyone brave enough to make the journey.
"Master Boris, I feel as if my life is out of balance. What should I do, to re-center myself, and be one with my surroundings?"
"Have you tried-"
"Yes I've tried vodka, squatting, and hard bass."
"Obviously haven't tried enough bylat."
Tried bylat lol
I really enjoy these videos, I can't imagine what it must be like to live in one of these places only to see a vid of you absolutely storming thru, yelling in slav and critiquing random foodstuffs.
Impressionnant. Très bien.
Comrade Boris speaks flawless french 😮
Not sure why but Boris eating food and giving a slav review is my favorite content. Be it food he made or found in a small shop
Same here
0:31 Boris, il faut mélanger le pastis avec de l'eau pour le boire. Haha
I had to look up "Shut up 'Urod'" @2:30. Yet I understood the general meaning before I did! Funniest thing I've heard all day! Then I laughed again on the replay!
Nice to see you in France Boris! You should next time try Ricard with some water. It shall be around 1 for 2.
Glad to see that you're continuing with your channel.
I know it was a little rocky awhile ago, but don't worry you got this!❤
0:18 My fav' Boris line, ever!
Only just discovered this channel and BLYAT HOW LONG HAS MY LIFE BEEN NEEDING THIS IDI NAHUI!
One Boris a day keeps the mental breakdowns away
For cake, I recommand "Tropézienne" if you can ^^ or a "Paris-Brest" (yes that's a cake too)
You didn't even try "rillette" with all this bread ! x'D
Take care of you and have a safe trip o7
Thank you Boris - your travel uploads are superb and I have watched all over them many times in the hope UA-cam kicks you some pennies 👍🏻
So glad you're back Boris!
3:10 as a French man, I wouldnt eat that shit even if I was starving 💀
Я рад видеть, что Борис наслаждается отдыхом во Франции 👁️👄👁️👌🏻
That was a fast follow up, nice! Can’t wait to see where your travels land you next!
good seeing you again! loved this food review ;)
You're supposed to add water to the pastis (around 5 times more water than the amount of raw alcohol) otherwise the aniseed and herbs taste is way too strong and it's undrinkable. Turns white with water in it :)
Although it's funnier this way lol.
He's staying in Southern France? Then it would probably be more accurate to say 75% pastis 25% water anyway XD barely a difference
it's maybe blasphemy for you but you suppose to dilute ricard
et ajouter de la glace
I love these videos where Boris eats food wrong in different countries
French Guy who informed the shops Boris is coming: "Oh yes, Boris will love these"

Boris, I LOVE your new intro! Short, concise about personality of the channel!
This is the Boris content I love and subbed to. Everyone spirals down a dark hole at some point in time but I am glad that the humor is back and I very much enjoy it.
I loved this, Boris! I could watch you try lots of different foods.

I love your videos Boris!
I bought a Ushanka and it always keeps me nice and warm while riding my electric scooter to school.
Keep up the amazing videos!
As a French, it was both fun and painful to see XD !
Fun, and really satisfying to see Boris enjoying some of these products I use everyday (especially that white bread he bought, I eat the exact same brand and product everyday), painful... For a lot of things XD !
Ricard (or Pastis, those two names are for the same thing, it's just two different brands who used to be in direct competition with eachother before Ricard grew big enough to actually buy the Pastis company, as far as I recall) is supposed to be consumed sliiiiightly diluted with water (the exact proportion is known to be easy to mess up, something like 11 or 12 parts Pastis and 1 part water), which will make it turn opaque (even though it's transparent when you pour it in your glass). It's an aniseed aperitif that is very typically associated with South-Eastern France, especially with Marseille, something that you get out when you invite your friends over to enjoy a good lunch with a few drinks on a sunny day. It can be found in grocery stores pretty much everywhere in France as far as I know.
The quiche lorraine is obviously supposed to be eaten warm, AT THE VERY LEAST you should have microwaved it (if possible, warmed in an actual oven).
And believe it or not, France may be known for the wine, but when it comes to alcoholic drinks, many people will open a bottle of beer rather than wine !
Jesus, it’s good to see the funny Boris man in my recommended feed again. I feel so bad not having seen on of this man’s videos in a long time though
“This is fish, so it’s good for you”
*laughs in mercury*
These are the best videos!
Love seeing Boris rate food :)) wishin ya the best Boris!
Nice video bro fr😁And tbh,at the beggining,i have to say that you speak french pretty well😂Keep up the god work man❤
Always a complete joy to watch you Boris ❤
Hearing you say "putain de merde", which is pretty much our bread and butter when it comes to swear words, just before downing dry Ricard really brought a tear to my eye.
You're truly a man of the world Boris.
Good to see that youtube finally recommends boris videos again
Boris, I'm so happy you're back to making videos, I know it wasn't going so well for a while there with the algorithm but I hope everything is much better now. Thank you for bringing me the cheeki breeki for the last 6 or so years
Hope you enjoyed your travels boris
Great videos as always, keep it up
It is always good to see an upload.
Classic Boris video. This is what the channel was built on. You could just eat Meringue Pies in France and not go far wrong
Boris is a true slav chad he rawdoged the ricard even not ading a single drop of water .
Stay cheeki breeki
I like that a short video has a short intro as well ingenius!
We love you Boris.
Life without a new Boris video is a sad life. Thanks for the happy day 👌
I love that Boris eats like a Slavic butterbrot no matter what country he goes to! 🤣
In fact, when traveling abroad, visiting a supermarket to try the local cuisine is a genius idea.
Because, like most people, locals don't fill their stomachs at expensive restaurants every day.
The way to truly enjoy a country's cuisine is to eat the most popular processed foods among the people of that country. 👍
I was most surprised by the fig bars having the Dutch translation (vijgenrepen) on the front of the package.
At least so far into the video.
*smells dead fish "Davai" and takes a shot. Fucking love boris
Happy birthday, Boris!
I checked the price of Ricard liqueur in Polish shops and found it in Leclerc for 84 PLN ( 19,34 €) but mostly 25 € .
I love how this video just gets more unhinged as it goes on
