Juicy could rebrand as sports wear, wearing sports wear while not doing exercise is actually a thing now.
@K R you're right it is. I dont know if they'll compete with lines like savage x fenty or ivy park, though I think ivy park is a one shot brand and if baby phat is making a comeback apparently then i guess so can juicy

Sparklecat16 here we think of mistresses with no job hanging out on streets
Real talk, when it comes to making their clothes and designing them to flatter bodies, these women were geniuses.
They did what many in that era and in this dont: make clothes comfortable and stylish. At the same. Time.
@@iamb34 'stylish' Yeah, no. The giant tacky branding and the camel toe effect you often got was not cute. And nowadays, with loose high rise jeans/pants/joggers being on trend, you get the effect of the nipped in waist without the need to wear a tracksuit everywhere.
@@CylindricalWhistle I was thinking more of a "stylish" for that time. Remember that wearing joggers outside was at one point like wearing your pajamas on the street.
Amen to that it was the only track suite I ever owned and didn’t mind wearing to run errands
This reminds me of Regina George.
My stepdad used to tell me i could never get a regina george girl.
And he was right.
I ended up getting an online gf who was actually a man. Fast forward a dozen years and im still an incel
all it takes is kylie to wear juicy out and about multiple times, not just once on ig, and itll be back
"2020 could be juicy couture's year"
sweetie 2020 is nobody's year :/
No point to flash brands if you ain't around anyone to flash those brands to.
Oh man this couldn't have hit me more. I have Bells Palsy, started just this month on the 11th. 😕😢
I feel like not enough credit is going to the fact that they found 5 juicy tracks suits and walked around in them while filming. They even added the eye shadow. If I walked by them, I would they they it was 2007 in Orange County. Great job ladies!
This was probably one of the best days at work ever haha. I loved wearing this track suit!
I feel like they will do a good come back if they did more neutral colors ,strechy fabric and up to date styles like cuffed sweatpants or something
Some Girl Laly they do cuffed sweats for quite a while now. And some neutral colours. Just not shown in the video :)
sugawa same. I think of mixing LuLulemon with Kanye’s colors and of course the classic Juicy style. More form fitting, keep something icon about the juicy part, and do real comfortable clothes that their clientele would love. Maybe they just need to hire this part of the comment section to recreate the brand model 🤣
*Paris Hilton wants to know your location*
*craws out from under her bed* ... I've been wait my whole life for you to say that :D
If the pants were high waisted and the top was bigger, it would totally be trendy rn
Also if it wasn’t as flared but more of a jogger, or even just straight legged. The early 2000s were ATROCIOUS in terms of the fit of clothes, with the low waisted pants and longgg torsos. If they kept the same idea as before but tweaked it to be more flattering I would wear it. maybe with simpler branding as well, I think most people are over the gigantic sparkly logos. With athleisure and early 2000s aesthetics being popular again these could really take off
Yeah that's true, but they'd have to make the tracksuit better colors and take off the "Juicy" Label. So it wouldn't really be the tracksuit that sold like crazy.
I don't find these ugly, but I can't believe this has ever been fashionable.
People in these comments are giving far too much credit to 2000s fashion these were so nice compared to what else people were wearing
PsycheodeliaDelle this was the early 2000s lots of the fashion was pretty questionable.
who's here in 2023 when these are popular and SO EXPENSIVE again
Even as a kid/young teen I always thought the word “Juicy” across the butt was trashy
Aly Nicoco it was trashy that’s why everyone loved it! The 2000’s was trashy asf and I can’t wait for everyone to look like colorful clowns this year already got my tracksuit and alternatively my arm candy for the scene kids wave coming back
One day Gucci is going to be like this.
@Ganda Gandara that brand can't keep the poor away since they at Ross and Burlington
Doubt it Gucci is almost 100 yrs old. Juicy only last like less than 10 yrs
Oh noooo Gucci is over 100 years old and comes out with actual haute couture
I may be a semi-goth all black bish, but Paris Hilton in Juicy Couture is iconic
I remember most of the patients on the mid 2000’s plastic surgery shoes wore these home from the clinic. 😂
Marissa Stryker Facts i still have a cpl of Juicy sweats (they wash great) I wore my black one home after lipo. Easy on easy off.
I think people mis-understand fashion as it's definitely a sign of the times of bygone eras. What was popular may very well not be popular now. That's not even hind-sight, because what's en vogue now, may be ridiculed a decade later. But fashion is ever-changing (and in many ways cyclical too). For example, Tommy Hilfiger pretty much died as a brand in early 2000s until he had a renaissance up until a few years ago. Mom high waist style jeans from the 90s is back in style. Champion was dead in the water (as they were sold at Target and Costco up until 5 years ago) and now is one of the more iconic fashion brands currently. The comments of people saying that Juicy track suits are ugly??? Track suits were popular in the 70s/80s. Ever hear of RUN-DMC? Think about what you wore say 10, 15, 20 years ago and realize that you may not have been so different in your fashion choices.
But tracksuits are unflattering on the body, even when they're in fashion. Things that are naturally flattering tend not to go out of fashion.
Gemm Furnier If you’re out of shape then yeah, I think they’re unflattering. They’re really meant to show of your natural curves without taking anything away from your figure.
Trust me, as someone who was alive during the juicy couture trend I can say that it was always seen as being trashy and tacky. It was popular but not considered fashionable by regular people
I always wanted a juicy couture tracksuit when I was growing up but I never got one but today I finally got to live out my childhood dreams and I now got a baby pink tracksuit that says juicy on the back in pink rhinestones 💖 it is so extra and so early 2000’s but I love it
I always found the thing with “juicy” and “pink” written cross the rear really weird. I don’t want people to see the word pink on my ass.
Edit: Basically, Juicy couture in 2001 was our hoodies now. That’s one way to say it.
I have too. I generally avoid clothing with designs or writing on the butt
Oof this takes me back to my WORST cringe moment of my life when I got butt printed sweats cause they were in in 2000 and I was so excited about my new pants and wanted to show them off so I ASKED my grandmother if I could wear them to church and she must not have heard my description....so I wore them. And when I stood up to get the collection tray I got hollered at and another kid had to do my job. Whoops
@Aubry Stout Yikes, If it was me I’d be like, “Aight imma head out and never come back” from embarrassment😂
I actually love how much effort and thought went into the fit of the track suits and how the founders would test the designs on themselves. Plus, I’ve always kinda loved these tracksuits and really want one still.
Gotta reckon I felt a little bit nostalgic about 2000 celebrity culture.
I don’t care what none of y’all say. These track suites are iconic. Period.
Their not even ugly, people probably just dislike them cause they look like pajamas. I have 2 Juicy Couture sweaters and I love them!
They’re great.. but not for walking around the city in. Honestly just nice pajamas
"Iconic" is not the same as "attractive" or even "desirable." After all, Hitler's swastika is iconic.
No one:
Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in 2007:
@@Murkybikes None of the drug tests Britney Spears took ever came back positive. For anything. The narrative that she was a drug addict is old and false. Stop it.
MattJHarrell not to be rude, but one of her colleagues said when she shaved her head, it was not because she was going crazy, it was because she had to take a drug test so she could see her kids (if she passed). Meth is proven to stay in your hair (hence why she shaved it)so she loved her kids so so much she was willing to do anything.
@@vonoodle9107 Shaving your head before a drug test is considered an automatic fail most of the time. Britney shaved her head because other people cared so much about her hair and obsessed over it. Other people cared about it more than she did, so she got rid of it.
Finally found a website that sells the tracksuits in my country and it arrived today. In love with them and I have always wanted one.
My mom never let me have anything from Juice Couture because she said it was “tacky.” Thank god she had some sense in her even when I didn’t lmao
Twenty Paphonies I liked the glasses casses that’s it. Only thing I liked
I just liked the hoodies by themselves. My aunt gave me two, she really loves Juicy Couture.
My mom says the juicy is fashionable and gives me juicy tracksuits god save me
Feels odd to rewatch this now that the Juicy Couture tracksuits and Daydreamer bags are so popular due to the Y2K aesthetic
I feel like juicy could really rebrand the tracksuit by making it out of a different material like a satin 2 piece set , with better looking crystals to bedazzle it , I feel like that would really be on trend
But they could try to do more athletic wear style like in the video was mentioned. And maybe keep the iconic tracksuit but just redesign it without the ugly wide bottoms and tacky brand logo but more minimalistic and like athletic style.
& joggers, velour leggings, cropped zip up hoodie, legging w/ tops...hell even dresses or catsuits I can go on ...Maybe introduce new fabric besides velour maybe pajamas or workout clothes...I never wore the clothes but I love the fragrance tho
They bloomed big and beautiful, and wilted fast, just like the highschool baddies that used to wear em. The perfume is eternal and is the essence of youth.

It's a tacky ass brand that's why they're not selling anymore. The early 2000s were tacky galore.

My god, this is giving me high school flashbacks. Juicy Couture, Ed Hardy, Jersey Shore, 16 & Pregnant/Teen Mom…
the 2000s are having a comeback soon i've already bought my tracksuit
..Soon? tracksuits, transparent clothing, crop tops, butterfly clips, etc. have been making a comeback since 2018 🥴
I use microfibers as dust cloths and for glass cleaning.
Can't imagine wearing it. Feels weird.
I had one when i was younger and i hated the feeling of the material, it felt so uncomfortable
Idk I used to love my thrift store JC jacket as a kid. It had a velvety feel to it. It was really nice
I’m sure it picked up dust like crazy, but honestly my child brain did not notice at all so I can’t remember it ever being gross to wear
I used to be so obsessed with Juicy, I even had a Juicy Couture themed birthday party for my 13th birthday. I had the charm bracelet, tracksuits, bags and perfumes. The store was honestly such a fun experience, so colorful and cute. I remember when it was so exclusive and now it’s for sale at Ross and kohl’s. It’s so wild that now we’re watching videos about their rise and fall, to quote “Juicy is For Nice Girls”
I’m going to be very honest, I really like the tracksuit. I don’t know why, but they just speak comfort.
Same ! Everyone in the comment section talking all this mad crap about it and I remember growing up seeing these on missy and Britney and always loved it and it’s cute and comfy idc what nobody says
Felicia J Agreed!! Their pieces are so flattering!! Especially the tracksuits!!! Anyone else still wear them?
The old dudes writing paragraphs about how much they hate juicy couture is so funny ☠️ JUICY GIRLS FOREVVVAAA
Juicy Couture pioneered athleisure but couldn’t stay afloat. Their fragrances are still luxurious in my opinion.
Deb Less ok sure lets just say juicy couture “reinvented” athleisure or they pioneered the terry cloth tracksuit trend or whatever...And if your getting technical ALL fashion is just recycled, repackaged, and rebranded. And there’s nothing new under the sun.
Ana Quintana I corrected there to their.? I think that’s what you were referring to.
I think their fragrances are the only things that aren’t bad. Their scents are pretty good
Being 34 years old, I definitely fell victim to the “Juicy booty” velour suits that made us look like adult toddlers😂 walking around with comfy hoodies and pants of the same color, carrying our “sip cup” of Starbucks coffee🤣 our ugg boots as soft as house shoes. had to have my hand bag that was made of the same material of my track suit!! You would see someone wearing what you thought was a JC suit and then they would turn around revealing JUICY wasn’t on the booty- naw never mind that’s just an Express imposter suit😂😂
Omg I always hated that look.. trashy & cheap. Thankfully fashion moves on!
I guess back then, the goal was to wear comfy and funky clothing
Nowadays, people would generally rather wear uncomfortable clothing, only if they look good
I honestly don't care what people wear, as long as they aren't walking around naked lol
...honestly, that style of suit was really popular. All kinds of brands had their own version of it. So your statement about “imposter” suits makes no sense.
Important coordinating piece - a shirt with rhinestone details paired with the velour track suit. Source: teenager me in early 2000's.
They had a men’s cologne I liked. I still have the bottle somewhere. The lid was wrapped in leather and had tiny charms hanging from it
Smells like 2008 🌈
I bought a juicy couture track suit with my credit card as a broke college student. I really felt like I was wearing some sort of high fashion swag. I remember thinking that was like the pinnacle of fashion. My mom hated it because it said juicy on the butt- if she only knew how much I paid for it lmao
Everyone complaining about how these look need to remember that this was back in the 2000s and styles change. This was everything back then.
It was not everything, I remember finding them tacky back then. They were everything to some girls. There were other styles trending...
RitaTocta quirky. One out of very very many isn’t really a difference. That’s like saying chocolate isn’t the most popular ice cream flavor because you don’t like it. There are billions who still like it.
@@jaeandtheamericans5541 what? You were the one who said it was "everything back then", I didn't make any absolute statement, I just don't know a single girl who wore these clothes, not everyone liked to watch Paris Hilton etc. I'm not saying it wasn't a thing back then, it just wasn't everything.
Victoria's Secrets is falling now as well ✝️
lol no its not literally every girl gets there bras and underwear from there.... like what other places have bras and underwear for teens
Elda Desta I’ve never been able to get anywhere near the right size from Victoria’s Secret. It’s funny how their models have tiny backs and a larger bust but they don’t sell bras that way. There must be so many other people with this issue and I can imagine they are losing a lot of business because of it.
y'all hating the clothing and I am here, at home, thinking about how could I use this as pajamas
I mean, that's the point. They look like pajamas, but people wore them as real clothing.
I would wear this as a pajamas but without pants. When I spin in bed is uncomfortable wearing pants
There kinda coming back, I am starting to see them come back to trending stores, love it I was not born yet and or to young.

and your comment screams "i desperately follow trends that die within a few years or else i wont get attention"
By the looks of the comment section, y’all are not old enough to understand juicy couture
Rudy Mendoza I know they are bashing Juicy Couture while they all think Supreme, Champion and Gucci vomit is soo fashionable.
Cece E Trust me, none of us think that anymore. Only rich kids who want to flex on others.
Rudy Mendoza I’m not but I understand how iconic it was, and I honestly want one myself
I am and there is nothing to understand. It was always tacky. Why would anyone want to emulate Brittany Spears or Paris Hilton?
There is a old asian lady at the Cypress swapmeet at Cypress College in Orange County Ca and she wears every color of Juicy track suits (jumpers) hahaha.. Says Juicy on her butt.

People saying that it's cheap and tacky looking are missing the point.
It was the early noughties and people loved stuff like this. It was a different time and a different market. Where stuff like this was extremely popular. If it was made now, of course it wouldn't sell due to the large logos and ott marketing but in that time it was the bomb

I think the JC track suit could comeback - They would just need to reimagine the cut and material...thinner legs and less "dated" terry cloth material.
No, bring back the bootleg with it! I miss the variety of styles, now everything is darn skinny leg and boring!
i’ve seen younger gen z teens be intrigued by the boot cut on tiktok . they’ve never seen it before . i think they could still do well w the cut instead of the skinny leg

Or maybe it will since its super comfy and everyone is posting photos and videos at home.
Juicy Couture was fire when I was in high school lol. You were that deal if you had that pink velour tracksuit...I graduated in 2002.
That being said I will still wear the brand. I bought a sequin juicy couture sweatshirt off of posh mark. It’s nostalgic like Lisa Frank, and cabbage (patch) kids.
Andrea Aier oh cool. Today is actually my birthday !🎂. My oldest kid is 14 years old and has no idea and doesn’t actually care what juicy Couture is. He can’t understand why Victoria’s Secret pink clothing says “PINK” but is now often seen in any other color except pink😂!
I’m class of 2020 and I’m obsessed with how people dressed in the early 2000s.I think PINK resembles Juicy Couture in a way.
I always thought they looked tacky as a kid, but this gave me an appreciation for their intent. They were really ahead on athleisure and influencer marketing. Love this series!
Their frangraces tho are amazing. This morning I wore my juicy couture perfume to go to work
The rise and fall, but now it’s on the rise again. Love Juicy Couture, especially the cute bags 💼
I never got into this brand. Hated the big “JUICY” on everything. 🤮
My mom has one of these at the back of her wardrobe. That's the only place I've ever seen them.
And now they’re making their comeback just like low rise jeans
So far I have two vintage 2000s juicy sweatsuits I got from ebay. I was missing the Juicy look for too long!! So freakin adorable and COMFY. I've been collecting vintage juicy for a few months and found a cute black jumpsuit. There vintage jewellery is also worth it. It's heavy, and solid, not like junk jewellery from stores now!
this was the beginning of athleisure, change my mind.
caroline nope, it started many decades ago when more comfortable clothes for sports were create as the polo shirts or tennis skirts.
Laura Ordoñez yes, but it was called “sportswear” and was associated with upper class white populations who could afford to play polo or tennis.
athleisure is the modern incarnation of sportswear, is based upon different sports like basketball and yoga and is more associated with urban culture and the rise of digital social media. you’ll see joggers on celebrities of all colors, but also on upper middle class teenagers and inner city youth.
so while the idea of wearing athletic clothing every day started ages ago, the modern version of what we call athleisure probably started back in the 90s with rap artists, but Juicy Couture is a solid milestone in its timeline.
It started in the late 70's/mid 80's with the hip-hop/rappers and break dancers.... just took suburbia 20 years to catch on just like everything else they take! Even the nails women are wearing today... it's a dated look that was in fashion in the 80's - yet people think it's a new trend! 🤣
Juicy tracksuit whenever I’m feelin bummy 💄👛🩷
This is a good series. There was surprisingly more design and thought that went into the production and marketing of these clothes than I'd assumed. Still hideous but credit where it's due.

I was a teen in the 90s - and yeah there’s still something about Juicy Couture that pulls at me . Nostalgia factor I suppose.
The top reminds me of an old soft sweater that I outgrew and wore for way too long to the point that it looked like a cropped sweater
Literally everyone calling this cheap has never bought a track suit in their life 😂 $70 for just the pants and another $50 for the hoodie
I'm honestly hoping for their comeback. Something about their tracksuit are appealing to me.
Track suits in general are nice, the really to keep the writing off the butt
Minus the butt writing, a well sized black velour track suit is super comfy and reasonably flattering.
They are very flattering for a casual jumpsuit. I still have mine but mine are classier without any logos.
Juicy was my childhood. I wasnt rich so I only had 2 pairs. It was so luxurious back then. Now almost a decade after, i take my juicy out, it still looks new and the quality didnt diminish. So i didnt regret buying and loving them
The “juicy” on the butt inspired me to custom make a black pair that says “wide load” on the butt in yellow lol like the trucks. I do love those track suits as long as they don’t have words on the butt
Juicy Couture is not glamorous. It looks like something you’d catch me wearing on a Wednesday afternoon when I’m at my local Tesco (British Walmart), on the floor scrambling around the bottom shelf so I can find my 50% pot noodles, only to realise I’ve dropped the tampons in my bag all over the place - and I weep as an employee comforts me.
Rebecca Sheckel obviously its not glamorous now but back in the early 2000s you best believe it was the considered trendy
American Walmart employees would not offer comfort. They’d just hold up their cellphones and record the scene, laughing through their tobacco-stained gums.
I always thought those suits made women look like a female Barney the dinosaur.
depends on the size they wear. some people get really small sizes so it looks sexy and some big sizes so it’s comfy

I will gladly revive their brand. Hand me a few tracksuits 🤷🏿♀️
I deeply dislike literally everything about fashion in the early 2000's. Low-cut bottoms were never flattering, sorry.
This is mid '00s, not early. Early '00s was more a mix of the Y2K aesthetic with some mid to late' 90s trends.
